Welcome back, folks! Well, our 20th update was something of an odd one, with me going slightly insane at all that money being thrown away, but I'm back to normal now, so all is well! Yep, totally -twitch- well!
Anyway, since we get a few days off from school due to GOLDEN WEEK, I figure I'll spend a bit of time on Innocent Sin Online. "Maya" hasn't got much better with her spelling, it seems. Oh well, we'll educate her in the ways of properly getting her point across online some day. She seems pretty happy that we remember her, but then she gets all worried that we're inside on such a lovely day... Aheheh. ^^; Um, anyway, we say that "it's okay to enjoy a game" to reassure her while shifting a bit to make sure the burning dayball doesn't get into our eyes. However, it seems that Maya's problem runs deeper than that. She be a gamer girl and a gamer girl only, yo. Or something like that. This little chat nets us a new rank up for the Hermit (how appropriate) Arcana. Hooray.
As it turns out, doing that social link really did take the whole day... Didn't quite expect that, but ah well. Junpei would have been too tired for Shadow Stomping anyway. Today I decide to hop over to the used book shop. Upon entering, it seems that old Bunkichi has forgotten our name. We helpfully remind him, only to find that he was joking. Sometimes it's hard to tell with that guy... He also offers us a Melon Bread, which is very kind of him. I like these guys. Of course, mention of HE gets me suspicious, as well as pdam's warnings that this social link gets depressing fast. He also offers us a second one, which we politely accept. Hey, more Melon Bread is something I'll gladly accept. Unfortunately, it seems his joke about not remembering us may have been more accurate than we first thought. He continues rambling on about this "he" person, who I can only assume is the old couple's son. Sensing information ripe for the digging, I decide to enquire about this "he" person.
Yep, I was right. Their son was the person they were talking about, and he's also dead. Called it in a roundabout way. This nets us a rank up for this social link, but I think this will be a rather painful one to go through. Tissues will need to be on standby for the next ranks. We decide to head on back to the dorm to help level our mood with some Shadow Murder... Or not, since Mitsuru isn't around. How irritating. And only 4 days left until the Full Moon as well. Oh well, study and sleep it is. Before that, however, the Slash Ward we bought from Tanaka has arrived! Seems we're able to study again today, so we get another plus to our academics. Handy, since it seems like Mitsuru is the leading vote for romance options right now. Anyway, with that the three day weekend is over, so it's back to school with us.
Just before school we hear about a kid at the local shrine, playing all by herself. Possible new social link? Likely. But enough about that, it's learning time! Of course, our teacher doesn't want to teach, so maybe we won't learn as much as we should be. She's complaining about the false stuff weight loss food companies put into their adverts. Amazing, adverts lie to make their products better. We're grilled on what to call water without much minerals in it, which a quick google search reveals to be "soft water". As this is the correct answer, I once again praise the knowledge god that is Wikipedia. More charm for us! After school I decide to head to the School Council at last, since I've been kinda skipping out on that... I've had things to do, okay? Anyway, Mitsuru introduces us to the council and we are in turn introduced to Hidetoshi Odagiri
, the disciplinary committee representative and Chihiro Fushimi, the treasurer. It turns out Chihiro is pretty new to the whole "treasurer" thing, so she asks to be patient with her. We says it's nice to meet her, only to see Hidetoshi sizing us up. OH GOD, WE'VE DISCOVERED IGOR'S MORTAL AGENT! KILL HIM! HIDE THE BODY! Wait, no, false alarm. He's just impressed that we got on the student council so quickly. Still don't trust him, though... Anyway, time for a new social link, this time of the EMPEROR Arcana! With that social link established, we're free to head home.
