They follow Else’s instructions to the room in the library where everything the Blacks left behind was put, and we see some real detective work. Several things point to the Blacks being up to something in Tear, but again it’s spread too even, with each of them having a single clue. So now the question becomes an I Know You Know I Know regarding whether they intended whoever put these things together to follow it or not, and right now I can’t begin to guess. And now, the dreams please?
There’s one pretty worrying bit here where Egwene figures out a new spell out of nowhere, reminiscent of Eragon’s infamous pulling bits of magic out of his ass whenever the plot requires them. But at least she notices this, so I have hope that it’s leading to something more than just making her a Mary Sue. Beyond that, it’s really fun to see the girls get their James Ellroy on, with the promise of more.
