Chapter 7: The Way Out of the Mountains
This is a brief chapter simply detailing how Moiraine’s group survives in the wilderness until they enter Ghealdan. Though there is one important bit when Moiraine mentions a Green Aes Sedai named Myrelle, who Lan is supposed to deliver something to someday, but he hopes that day never comes. I’m guessing she’s designated to get Moiraine’s effects if she’s killed. Also, a fun bit of Mundane Utility when Moiraine uses the Power to catch fish.
Technically this is another chapter of nothing, but the smaller group means there’s more room for interpersonal dynamics, and these guys all play very well off each other. If there was more of this stuff in the first few chapters, they wouldn’t have been such hard going.
