This Willow was cut down with ease.

Though I've heard using swords to cut down trees is a bit less effective than axes, it worked just fine in this case.

Chapter 16 - Reclaim the Capitol: Finished.

Base: Only one conversation to be had, this one being Jake and Lyra (2). Jake explains that the shop was meant to sell ultra expensive goods to the highly wealthy, and the only way to access it is through a VIP card, of which there is only one in the world. Lyra suggests removing the VIP requirement, and while Jake agrees, he notes that due to it being a secret shop, that can't work, even if it is a bit overly complex. How's Everyone yields Roro's Axe and a strength potion. Inventory wise, I sell a bunch of magic and staves, since I don't need those and they've been building up, and I clear out a few extraneous things hanging around. Robert also uses an Arms Scroll to bring his sword level up to C rank, and uses a pair of spirit dusts to buff his magic up, so that he can make use of Levin Swords more effectively.

Marth & Julian: headed through the northern hallway, waiting for Astram to be recruited and his men neutralized, before heading into the treasure room and clearing its contents (a large bullion, a Master Seal, an Elysian Whip, a Goddess Icon, a Shaver tome, a Speedwing, and a Rescue staff), before Marth heads towards the throne and seizes.

Macellan: Guest starred this chapter, acting as a distraction for foes and hitting a couple enemies on occasion. Headed with Gordin's group at the start, and rejoined everyone in the final push alongside them.

Horace, Lyra, Ryan, Robert, Norne, & Jake: Waited near the door where Willow and the throne room resides. They were there just in case one of the thieves reached the treasure chests before us, and thus triggered the unlocking of the door early, but that didn't come to pass. Robert did hunt down the closest thief on the northern path though.

Gordin, Jeorge, & Warren: Headed up the northwestern path, Warren leading and using his sword to take on a few heroes. Once they were dealt with, Gordin lured out Astram, and Jeorge recruited him. They then hunted down the remaining thieves (including the one who carried the Geosphere, courtesy of Warren, who then delivered it to Lyra), and ran towards the throne room door, forming up with the remainder of the party before Marth and Julian open some treasure chests.

Party: After they'd formed up, the door opened, and Willow's mooks appeared. The party charges in and lays waste to the vast majority of the foes on the first turn. They cleaned up the reinforcements who appeared from the castle entrance and any remaining foes in the throne room on the following couple of turns, before Marth seized shortly thereafter.

Willow: Defeated in one hit by a critical from Warren, cut down with a Bamboo sword.

Afterward: Marth is informed by Gotoh that Elice, as well as all of the other clerics who we knew beforehand, have been kidnapped by Gharnef. Marth asks where Ghernef is right now, and Gotoh informs us that he is likely targeting Nyna at Archanea palace. Marth resolves to go there, but before we leave, Lyra and Jagen notice that we are being attacked yet again by the assassins.

Up Next: Reunion, where we meet Katarina again, and face down her assassin force.

Wait, you killed Willow in one hit with a Bamboo Sword of all things?

One critical hit, and it was from Warren (22 strength as of this writing), so with Willow's 6 defense, even a throne wouldn't save him.
