You're an asshole Damian.

Waiting for the pirates to get provoked before you come for me is a dick move sir, if a clever one.

Chapter 16x - The Port of Badon: Finished.

Base: Set up the party now that we don't need to bring along any extra stragglers besides Eliwood, and prepared to set out into the contest with the pirates.

Eliwood: Hid near Merlinus, since he doesn't need to do much himself for this chapter.

Party: To start, Wil and Florina dealt with all the weaker pirates on the safe path to Fargus. After that, everyone regrouped and split down the two paths between the houses, ready to challenge the pirates. Lyn and Wil took the top path between the houses, right down the center of the city, while Florina and Lucius took the bottom path, facing Damian and his mooks. After provoking the lot of them, Lyn dispatched a couple pirates pretty easily, and Florina avoided Damain's sword, retaliating for low damage against him. Lyn cut down the pirate archer, opening a path for Wil, who shot Damian with his steel bow, before Lucius struck him down with lightning. Florina stayed guarding the path, and faced down Damian's mooks, one striking her and the other attacking Lyn and missing. Florina narrowly escaped death at the hands of a mage who followed up, and she struck at the cavalier with her javelin from a safe distance. Soon after, the remainder of the pirates and assassins were defeated, and Florina visited the homes, retrieving a devil axe, a short bow, the assistance of Canas (though he isn't a member of the party), a sleep staff, and a Lancereaver. Lucius meanwhile stocked up on Lightning tomes for the future, and Florina spoke to Fargus and ended the chapter.

Supports: Two this chapter, Florina and Lyn (C) and Wil and Lyn (C).

  • Lyn: Florina! Are you well?
  • Florina: Lady Lyndis! I'm well, thank you.
  • Lyn: Good, I was worried— But don't go out alone if you can. You never know where archers might be lurking.
  • Florina: Yes.
  • Lyn: Are you carrying enough healing salve? Your weapons—are they all in order?
  • Florina: Eh? Well... Let's see... A vulnerary... And, um... My lance is here... And...eh?
  • Lyn: It's all right, Florina. Take your time. I'm here should anything happen.
  • Florina: But, Lady Lyndis... It should be the other way around! I'm here to protect you...
  • Lyn: Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. Didn't I always look out for you back on the plains? Remember?
  • Florina: Of course, but...
  • Lyn: No buts! Let's head out, Florina.
  • Florina: Ah...! Lady Lyndis!

  • Wil: Lady Lyndis, are you all right?
  • Lyn: Wil? You surprised me! What's the matter?
  • Wil: I, too, am one of the knights of Caelin, you see... As such, I must protect you as well as I can.
  • Lyn: Yes, yes of course. And how are you, Wil? Are you unhurt?
  • Wil: I am quite fine!
  • Lyn: Wil, you seem much happier now than you did back in the castle. Why is that?
  • Wil: It might be imprudent of me to say this, but... Something about this kind of expedition excites me! There are so many new things to see!
  • Lyn: Wil, you are from Pherae, are you not? Tell me...what sort of place is Pherae? It's under the rule of Eliwood's house, so I would think it peaceful, perhaps?
  • Wil: Yes. It is a nice place. It is near the sea, and the smell of the brine rides on the wind. I have not been home in a long time...
  • Lyn: Your parents are well, yes? Do you write to them often?
  • Wil: Eh!? Ah... Not that often, no...
  • Lyn: Well! That won't do! You should write them at once! That's an order!

Afterwards: Fargus agrees to grant the lords passage to Valor, though Lyn isn't terribly happy about it.

Up Next: We face the wrath of the Black Fang at the sea, as they attempt to pillage our Pirate Ship!
