Ludvecks plan was clever, but he didn't account for one thing...

A blue tiger would almost singlehandedly crushing his entire army of rebels.

Chapter End-2 - Elincia's Gambit: Finished.

Elincia, Marcia & Leanne: Provided air support for Mordecai, taking out ranged attackers so that they couldn't harass Mordecai and waste his shift gauge. Elincia also healed Mordecai whenever he got hurt, and Marcia transferred the speedwing Geoffrey had picked up to him. Leanne meanwhile galdr'd the other two whenever they needed to take out more targets, or galdr'd Mordecai if he needed to take out a foe as well as munch on some Olivi grass.

Haar: Killed a couple of people, and then put away his weapon and fell asleep by the western staircase, healing whenever he needed to while he kept half of the enemy army trapped at the bottom of the staircase.

Mordecai: Did most of the work, he ran down to the eastern area where the rebel army was focusing their break-in, and would have been able to hold them at the door had an enemy not inadvertently blocked his path. He held his ground at the choke point nearest the door, and fought off the rebels slowly but surely with help from Elincia, Marcia, and Leanne. Once Marcia had given him the speedwing, he was able to carve his way straight through the rebels, and quickly made his way to the door. There, he received some aid from Geoffrey and Kieran to deal with excess forces, and he was able to draw out Ludveck, before promptly killing him with some help from Kieran.

Ludveck: Attacked Mordecai from afar to start, and then got hand-axed by Kieran before getting taken down by Mordecai.

VS Ludveck: Knight after knight fell upon Mordecai, and while he easily blocked and dodged the enemy strikes, he could only keep transformed for so much time, and this constant assault was wearing him out.

"Throwing laguz into the ranks? How very like the queen."

He turned to see where the taunt came from, and flattened himself against the ground to avoid the spinning axe that came flying over him. It flew back to it's wielder, and Mordecai saw a man starring at him, smirking as he caught his axe and commanded more soldiers to charge at him. Mordecai continued fighting, doing his best to keep transformed as he struck down foe upon foe. There was a flapping of wings as Marcia flew forward, driving her spear into a mage that had been restricting Mordecai's movements. He heard Geoffrey yell to Kieran, and saw the red-clad knight charge through the opening and lob a hand-axe at Ludveck, the projectile striking the still confident duke on the shoulder. Ludveck ignored the small wound, and hurled his tomahawk at Kieran.

"Mordecai!"

Kieran's yell pierced through the sounds of the battle, and Mordecai understood the meaning of his call. He slipped past two soldiers before they could strike, and rushed at the now disarmed Ludveck before his weapon could return to him. The color draining from his face as the yell resounded, Ludveck attempted to evade the swift tiger, but an armor-piercingly sharp claw drove into his leg, and he fell to one knee before Mordecai then tackled him to the ground, pinning him down and letting loose a fearsome roar that quelled the enemy soldiers, and put an end to the rebellion.
