I'm noticing a trend here...

This is the third time Soren has killed a boss who was a sage, using a tome one level below theirs (Fire vs Elfire with Balmer, Elwind vs Tornado with Kayachey, and now Thoron vs Rexbolt with Heddwyn), and has completely ignored their attack. Yes, Soren was able to No-Sell Rexbolt (with a little help of course).

Chapter 28 - Twisted Tower: Finished.

Party: Charged through the enemy forces with bloody-minded determination, forcing their way to the tower. Stefan, Jill and Mordecai led the charge, with Ike and Soren providing cover fire and Mist finishing taking down any stragglers. Jill flew into the trees and ambushed many of the crows and hawks before they could attack, while the rest of the group headed south, rounding the bend and cutting through any foes that got in their way. After they reached the edge of the central field, everyone gathered and waited for Soren to get the first of the three dragons into his sights, watching as he brought it down with two Bolting strikes. They then charged, keeping an eye on the range of the other two dragons, while striking down the various feral ones and beorc soldiers who came to challenge them. Soren sniped the second dragon, and Mordecai lured out the third one, while also being targeted by Heddwyn. Mordecai took heavy damage from the collaborative attack, but Mist healed him, and with some assistance from Ike the final dragon fell. Jill and Stefan headed further north and took down the bishops before they could put someone to sleep or heal an annoying foe, and after all of the enemies had been dealt with, they went to challenge the boss. Soren got Warded by Mist, and fought with Heddwyn, and after that, Mordecai handed Mist the Hammerne, and she repaired the Thoron tome, the Bolting tome, and Rexbolt.

Heddwyn: Fought Soren, and got completely stomped, as Soren voided his only means of attacking him, and then countered with deadly force.

VS Heddwyn: After Soren had been cloaked in the warm light of the Ward staff, he stepped forth to face the man leading this army of feral creatures. The man seemed nervous, but aside from his yells for reinforcements, Soren noticed something far more intriguing.

That tome he's carrying is the tome for the ultimate thunder spell, Rexbolt! I wonder if he is even capable of understanding its true power...

The anxious man began sputtering out the incantation, but Soren had long ago mastered how to outpace any opponent and steal away the beginning of any fight, and brought down a pillar of lightning upon his foe before he had even gotten through half of the incantation. The man was shaken and burnt, but he seemed to remain composed enough to keep casting despite it, and he brought down the wrath of the heavens onto his foe. Soren witnessed the light show from within, hiding his tome as he incanted the spell while the storm raged on.

It doesn't appear that he can, if he is unable to even scratch me despite possessing the might of a natural force within his hands.

After the explosion of magical force stopped, Soren pulled out his tome and crushed his foe under a second pillar of lightning. He then retrieved the book from his foes charred corpse, and brought it to Mist to be repaired alongside a couple of other tomes. He would need as much strength as he could possess if he was going to end the next battle without any issues.

Up Next: Repatriation, where the party finally takes down Ashnard and ends this war, once and for all!
