Time for Gekkou's part of the tale. We start at the Impact Crater.
Gekkou: I came here to investigate the falling star I heard about... ...But what on earth is this!? It's a scene straight out of a nightmare! And this putrid air... It's as if the earth itself is diseased. I don't even want to imagine what would've happened had this meteor struck a town... Ah!
He looks over and sees... Mysterious Bitch facing off against some monks? Oh dear.
Gekkou: Monks from Fabul!
Monk: Hold it! You there! Who are you!?
Mysterious Girl: Even if I told you, you wouldn't understand.
Monk: What!?
Mysterious Girl. Don't even bother. It's futile.
Monk: You will not insult us!
Monk: We have honed our bodies under the mighty Master Yang himself!
She then kills two of them instantly.
Mysterious Girl: I did warn you.
She teleports up the cliff and walks off.
Monk: S-stop..!
The three still living monks give chase.
Gekkou: That girl! Who is she?
Okay, new character time:
Gekkou
Class: Ninja
It seems that not even the strongest of the Eblan Four can catch a break. Gekkou's got all right stats, and can equip some of the better stuff we'll find in this Tale, but his special ability is Shuriken. Shuriken is Throw, but instead of being able to throw any weapon, he can only throw Shurikens. Now this may not seem bad, after all, Shurikens are pretty good, but why have him when you can have Edge? These character setups confuse me. And like everyone else in this Tale, he's got Ninjitsu, which as per usual, pales in comparison to Edge.
Well, let's talk to the fallen monks, looks like they're still hanging on to life.
Monk: Who... who are you?
Gekkou: I'm just a passing traveler.
Monk: S-stop her... Save... my brothers...
Gekkou: I'm on it. Don't try to speak.
Monk: Thank... you...
Gekkou: (Forgive me! I hope you'll rest in peace.)
And the other one...
Monk: ...
Gekkou: (I'm sorry... But I have a mission to fulfill. I must return to Eblan alive, no matter what.)
Immediately after the monks, we find a Crescent Axe. Nice.
We head up to the Lower Wall. Following the path leads us to a Kenpo Gi and a Steel Headplate. We head further along and see the other monks still chasing the girl. We follow them up to the Middle Wall.
First thing we find in this area is a Power Armlet. Gekkou learns Flash as we make our way up and see everyone head up again. We then make our way to the Save Point.
...It's at this point I realise I'm out of Tents. Damn it. We find one in the same area so I backtrack to the Save Point to heal. Ugh. Now lets head for the Upper Wall before I make myself look any stupider.
Luckily, we're pretty much done here. We head up and see the monks and the girl. We hide behind a rock.
Gekkou: (Whoa!)
Mysterious Girl: Why do you insist on following me?
Monk: What did you expect!? We've got to avenge our brothers!
Gekkou: (Don't do it...!)
Mysterious Girl: Avenge?
Monk: That's right!
Mysterious Girl: Incomprehensible.
Monk: What is?
This game, that's what.
Mysterious Girl: Abandoning your sole chance at survival like this.
Gekkou: (She's right! Don't be so hasty in throwing away your lives!)
They approach her, because they are stupid.
Monk: As monks of Fabul, we have our honor to uphold!
Gekkou: (Honor...)
Mysterious Girl: ..."honor"? I have never heard of such a thing.
Monk: Our honor is our pride! The pride of Fabul!
So she casts a spell and beats them all effortlessly.
Mysterious Girl: What is it that makes you want to die so fervently?
Monk: This... this isn't over!
Monk: Don't... don't lose hope...
Gekkou: (Great. Come on, Gekkou! What're you gonna do now?)
We have the option to come out from behind our rock. Hmm, maybe she's beatable this time...
Nope. I'm not stupid, game, I can tell that nobody in this game is going to be able to beat your stupid God-Mode Sue in a one on one fight. We choose to hold back.
The monks get back up.
Monk: Yaaah!!!
She casts another spell and kills the lot of them.
Mysterious Girl: Such a waste. The interdimensional elevator launch is going to fall behind schedule.
She leaves. Yay.
Gekkou: (Interdimensional elevator?)
Gekkou goes back to the bottom of the crater and sets up the grave that Yang found in his Tale.
Gekkou: (Monks of Fabul... I don't know how to apologize to you. But I have my own honor to uphold... the honor of Eblan! I will atone for this later... after I preserve my own honor!)
He leaves.
