Archane's Super-Villain For Her Issue #1

Well, since I stock up on superheroes. It's time decide on the superhero villain and his or her plot to ruin the day for Arachne. We know Hades is good, Athena is good but testing Arachne– but what for? That is unknown at this point. For now, I'm going to roll on the villain chart in the The Villainomicon

The 2d6 chart goes something like this.....

  • 2 – 5: Adversary: Roll to generate the villain’s Origin and other traits the same as a
hero.
  • 6 – 7: Nemesis: Do not roll the villain’s Origins. The villain has an Origin “opposite” to
that of the hero on the Origin table: Trained = Unearthly, Transformed = Artificial, and Birthright = Gimmick and vice-versa. Generate the rest of the villain’s traits the same as you would a hero.
  • 8-9: Opposite: The villain has the same Origin as the hero. Do not roll the villain’s
powers. Instead, assign the villain the same number of powers as the hero, but choose “opposing” powers. So if the hero has Elemental Control (Fire), for example, the villain could have Elemental Control (Cold) or (Water). The creating player gets to interpret “opposite” with the GM’s approval.
  • 10-12: Reflection: The villain has the same Origin and powers as the hero—including abilities above level 6—but differing aspects, and possibly differing descriptions of the powers’ “special effects”. For example, a hero with Wizardry (Magic) might have a Reflection who also has Magic, but evil magic rather than good magic. The villain may choose different Specialties than the hero.

Let's hope the roll is good. It's 9. It's a Opposite. I think a cyborg is a perfect opposite to Archane's magic. Thanks to the sample in The Villainomicon, I still have to roll cyborg's abilities.

  • Prowess: 5
  • Coordination: 5
  • Strength: 6
  • Intellect: 5
  • Awareness: 2
  • Willpower: 4

Edit: Forget to do this. 27 > 20. OK!! It's good!

Since have to make opposites of two powers that Arcane has – I going to up my +2 to awareness of bad guy for Arachne to face. Checking Arachne had a (Blinding) in a form of a weapon, so I'm going to the opposite a blast (laser cannon).

I have to roll for specialties here......2 is my total. I decide on “Machines” to repair himself and “Military” for knowledge of military work.

Strength is 5 plus Willpower is 4 for a total of 9

Ok. My cyborg is getting a idea. Here's the background of my bad guy.

“Before 1954, Steve Yazin was just a normal American boy growling up in small town of Karrel, Kansas. At the state of 1954's summer, the 15 year old Steve Yazin got a jump as a delivery of snack at a drive-in movie theater. He was able to watch all short of movies from Disney's animation to B- horror movie. His favorite movies were one featuring robots or cyborgs – especially if the robot or cyborg of the movie is the bad guy. In 1954, a 18-year old Steve Yazin joined the army. While the army, he read more robot and cyborg. One day in 1955, Steve tried to talked to the military science about making robots or cyborgs. A month worth of visit from Steve: The science called the Pentagon. Soon after, Steve Yazin was correctly dishonorable discharge from military.

Steve Yazin went on to college and took a lot of different course – filling him with so much science and technology work. In 1980s, Steve Yazin's company, Technology Ultra Base or T.U.B for short, has become a well-known army weapon seller to the United States government. President Ronald Reagan usually give Steve Yazin a lot of robot fiction books while President Ronald Reagan was in charge of the White House.

In 2012, that commie mutant super-villain, Pulsar, learn about T.U.B plan to copy Project Pulsar. Not waiting America to have the same ability – he decide to hunt by a rival plot that almost got his plan while flying over Africa – Carter Cassidy. Tracking him done was not hard – but Pulsar was supreme to see that Cater Cassidy become the Troll. Together, Pulsar and Troll wreck T.U.B into a pile of junk, burned the American copy of Russian's Project Pulsar and stolen all the gold, sliver and jewels hidden in the building.

Steve woke up in a hospital looking like kind of cyborg from a horror movie. Learning that his company was bankrupted and his brain wrecked beyond human repair – Steve vow to pay the world back. After being free from a hospital, he become Dr. Dark, a cyborg super-villain.”

Dr. Dark's Appearance Time: From the neck down, Steve appears to a regular sliver robot. From the next up, Steve's right-side face is human with the exception of a red cyborg eye. Steve's left-side face is all robotic with the exception of a regular green human eye.

For Qualities: He is usually called “The Vile Cyborg” by the press. He joins causing terror and mayhem – so I decide that “I Love My Work”.

For Challenges: Fort off he's insane. I making that a Social problem for him. Next, I'm giving him a weakness – Mind Control. Any hero or villain with Mind Control can really get control of him.

That means I can work on the Archane's first issue as soon as I work up a table of NP Cs for her.
