Part 5: Shift Into Turbo!

Hello, and welcome back.

Carter: Previously on Rika's livebloggening of Pooh's Adventures of Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie...

...Katherine and Tommy found Lerigot, and he tried to recover. Meanwhile, Divatox and Bowser captured Kimberly and Jason, and they demanded Lerigot. Finally, Lerigot escaped in order to go to the villains.

Notice the lack of Winnie and friends. They're so much worse than Designated Heroes, since they just...react. So why are we rooting for the heroes again?

Carter: At least the Turbo Rangers have a justification. I can't speak more about the others.

Right...so we'll continue with...

Part 5 of 11

We continue where we left off: the Rangers trying to call for Lerigot, but he heads to the baddies. The Rangers attempt to save Kimberly and Jason, but there's a twist: Elgar tricked them!

OH NOES! What will our Rangers do now?

Back at Divatox's lair, the Diva herself tries to use different words to activate Lerigot's Golden Key. But it...doesn't quite work out. However, Bowser Jr. says "No Dice" to the first attempt, and Bowser himself roars, "Hilarious, but nope."

Carter: GEE, THANKS FOR TELLING US WHAT WE ALREADY FUCKING KNOW, MASTERS OBVIOUS.

...damn, never knew that you'd get tired of the bullshit, Carter.

Carter: Well...I can't blame you for being so frustrated.

Right. Anyway, Divatox growls at Lerigot for a bit, and they're soon headed for the Nemesis Triangle. As she gets excited for the upcoming wedding, Kimberly overhears the conversation. And she isn't happy with the current situation.

Cut to the Command Center. The Rangers have just created their new Zords, the Turbo Zords. Mewtwo wonders what the hell is up with that, since...it looks like cars to him. However, Zordon tells the Psychic-type (and everyone else) about the Zords, how they're extraordinary cars equipped with the Turbo technology. And when combined, the Zords create the Turbo Megazord, then the most powerful Megazord ever created.

...

(snicker)

So the Rangers get their individual Zords (the Mountain Blaster, of course, stays) and their new Turbo Morphers. They morph into the Turbo Rangers for the first time...and everyone is at awe. Literally, everyone.

The Rangers are then told what to do and where to go, and after that brief bit of Infodump, there they head off, into the desert. With the theme song playing. Ah, the nostalgia...

Carter: ...do I even want to know?

Well, I watched the series as a kid. Until the ending of In Space.

Carter: I see...I'm not sure if I had such nostalgic trips.

Anyway, it looks like they presumably left Winnie and friends behind (thank God!), because we don't see them at all during this moment. Back at the Command Center, Zordon tells someone that they have the Mountain Blaster and the Blue Ranger's morpher.

Gee, I wonder who it could be.

At the ocean, Divatox overlooks, but there are no Rangers. However, Mistress Nine tells her that Lerigot is dying. Once again, thanks for telling us what we already know. However, props go to the movie proper for averting the Never Say "Die" trope.

At the shore, the four Rangers stop and find the ship, but they're later joined by...Justin. And even though I have said to not liveblog this movie entirely, I still think this deserves a mention. This infamous line.

Justin: Guys, I'm the new Blue Ranger! Isn't that cool or what?

Some people are outraged because suddenly, a kid becomes a Ranger. "Some" might be an understatement. However...that line made me grin and chuckle a bit. Because of the level of enthusiasm Justin had.

As Justin asks what they're doing here—

Mewtwo: We'll talk about that later. Right now, we gotta get the Zords on that ship.

DAMMIT. Just when we thought that we finally got rid of the damn Pinball Protagonists that do jack shit. Just when we finally had our hopes up that the Rangers ditched them, suddenly, Winnie and his idiotic friends show up.

WHAT THE FUCK.

Carter: ... (he gives me a back massage)

Ahh. That feels good.

On the ship, the Rangers manage to have the Turbo Zords fit in there. So what do they do? Explore the ship. And so we get a montage of them...doing so. However, Justin finds something. What is it?

Carter: We don't know, because that's the end of this installment!

Yep. And we're pretty much halfway done, minus the credits. Would it get worse? Oh yes.

What did Justin find? Will our heroes manage to go through the Nemesis Triangle? Will our other "heroes" stop responding and start doing?

One who does not fight will not survive the next livebloggening of Pooh's Adventures of Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie.

You're prosing dangerous things! Why, if they started acting instead of reacting, the people making these might actually have to start paying for their video editing software! ;D
