The Lunar Ruins Again Again

There is one more important floor I have to visit. I don't care for the other floors.

On the way, though, we do encounter some other new floors, starting with a Floor of Remembrance based on the Antlion's Den. It holds nothing but an Elixir.

We also find another Ribbon on one floor.

Luckily, on this, my third full run of the Ruins, the floor I want is spawned. It's near the end of the dungeon. The enemies here wander about the screen and are all puppets. Including one that the game seems to consider a boss, the Death Puppet. It hits hard, but it's no problem at this point.

Once we clear out all the puppets (I think it's ten battles), a chest appears. It contains the Nirvana, Porom's best weapon that can cast Reflect when used as an item.

If there are any floors I've missed, I don't care, we've got all of the equipment from that dungeon.

However, there's still one thing left to defeat before FFIV is over... the Brachioraidos.

Man, I admire your dedication. I could never go for a 100% completion like this.

Does any of this care over into the later games? Because, wow this is a lot of effort. I thank you for all your work in showing off all the features.

Well, in this version, there's a gallery and sound test section. IIRC, the bestiaries of the three games unlock gallery images and progress through TAY unlocks the modern versions of the songs (and the TAY exclusive songs). It's not much, and I'd like to have completely broken characters throughout the first 7 chapters or so of TAY, but, well, that'd just make it too easy.

I'm mainly going after Brach to show like in nearly every RPG these days, defeating the hardest boss gives you something ridiculously broken you no longer need because being able to beat the hardest boss means you can already Curb Stomp Battle everything else.

Update on the Pink Tail grinding: Still haven't gotten any more. I'll give it a couple more days, then I'll just go with what I've got.

Speaking of TAY, are you going to cover that game too? And Interlude too, I guess?

Interlude shall be covered in this Let's Play, it uses the exact same engine to FFIV (unlike TAY, which has a few changes) so I may as well get it out of the way. TAY? Yes, but not now.
