Troia and Some Other Stuff

Hi guys, today, we're exploring a bit. First, from Baron, we'll head south to Agart, mainly in the event that I forget where it is later on. The people of Agart believe they are descended from Dwarves. Weird. There's also an observatory (read: telescope), and there's someone here who explains a bit about the sky.

I'm Corio. I study the two moons, one of which has been showing some strange activity of late. One moon has no sign of life or activity. But the other has traces of life, and is turning a reddish colour... A colour similar to that of blood... I can't escape from this sense of foreboding...

We can look in the telescope, and indeed, one of the two moons this planet has is red.

We then return to Mysidia, as the Elder should probably know what happened...

Elder: Palom and Porom did what...! ...I-I see. They have given more for this cause than any should have to. We shall honour their deeds...

Well, that's something I guess.

Next is Mythril, north-ish of Mysidia. Mythril has, well, Mythril equipment. It's powerful stuff, but expensive, so I spend some time money grinding to get what I want. The levels are also a nice touch, I want the extra stats for the next dungeon, definitely. Cecil learns Teleport in the meantime.

Finally, we head for Troia, to the northwest of Baron. Maybe we can just ask their rulers, the Epopts, for the Crystal?

We don't know what to do. The Dark Elf stole our Earth Crystal!

Damn.

If you can recover the Crystal, we will allow you to borrow it. Please speak to us once you obtain it.

All right!

The Dark Elf is weak against metallic weapons. He has set up a magnetic field around the cavern for protection.

Damn, there goes the Mythril equipment...

Well, let's explore the castle.

What? Is that Edward I see in a bed there? How did he even get here? Not Quite Dead count: Edward: 1

Cecil: Edward!

Edward: Cecil...? You are alive... I am so relieved. I shall join you again...

Tellah: You cannot help us in that condition, though. You'd only burden us!

Edward: Tellah... I can't begin to ask for your forgiveness. Anna died because of me... I can never atone for that...

We tell Edward he must rest. Edward notices Yang's survived, and asks about Rydia. Sorry man, she got eaten.

Edward: ...I see. I wish I had been there to help you during your battles...

We introduce Edward to Cid, and he realises we must have an airship. He asks about Rosa, so we explain the Dark Elf thing.

Edward: The Dark Elf... Cecil, you must take this.

Cecil: What is it?

Edward: This is the only way I can be of any help right now.

He gives us the Whisperweed.

That's all for now. Next time, the game frustrates me to no end while Cecil decides to take up punching enemies in the face!

Stats (I'll repost stats at the beginning of next update when I've got the equipment I can take to the next dungeon on):

The no Metal thing is probably part of the reason this section of the game was so fustrating.

What Jeremy said. Cecil is reduced to a healer, and though your other two bruisers should be fine, your last party member is an old guy with bad stats and limited MP.

The only more annoying part is the final dungeon.

If I remember correctly, Cecil can still use bows in the cave, so I guess it's better than him walking around punching ppl in the face.

nightwyrm_zero is correct — give Cecil a bow with a selection of arrows to exploit enemy elemental weaknesses, and he'll be able to do some semi-respectable damage in the Magnetic Cave.
