Pack 1, Pick 1

  • Bludgeon Brawl
  • Kiln Walker
  • Inquisitor Exarch
  • Alloy Myr
  • Suture Priest
  • Pestilent Souleater
  • Geth's Verdict
  • Hovermyr
  • Viridian Harvest
  • Maul Splicer
  • Razor Swine
  • Rotted Hystrix
  • Pith Driller

Strongest picks for this look like the Alloy Myr, Razor Swine, and the Pith Driller. I'm going to pick the Myr because it seems pretty efficient for the cost, fixes my mana, and it's colorless.

Pick 2

  • Triumph of the Hordes
  • Fallen Ferromancer
  • Gut Shot
  • Apostle's Blessing
  • Glistener Elf
  • Artillerize
  • Remember the Fallen
  • Lost Leonin
  • Toxic Nim
  • Volt Charge
  • Pith Driller
  • Chained Throatseeker
  • Trespassing Souleater

Wow. Nice pack. The Ferromancer, the Triumph, and the Volt Charge are the ones I like most here. I understand the Triumph can be a game-winner, and the poison Tim's recurring removal can be very nice for limited, but I think the Volt charge might be the safest bet. Tim doesn't do much until I can sink six or more mana into him, and the Triumph has double G and doesn't really give me a better board position.

Pick 3

  • Surgical Extraction
  • Priest of Urabrask
  • Isolation Cell
  • Greenhilt Trainee
  • Death-Hood Cobra
  • Apostle's Blessing
  • Victorious Destruction
  • Ogre Menial
  • Mutagenic Growth
  • Defensive Stance
  • Parasitic Implant
  • Viridian Betrayers

Eh... I think the commons are the ones I'm going to have to look at here. The creatures are decent, but they don't really stand out much to me. I think Parasitic Implant is supposed to be the better card here, even if it's a bit slow for my liking. I think I'd be better able to judge its value if I played more games of limited, but I think it's probably worthwhile anyway.

I think one of the A.I.s is going to start drafting R infect eventually...

Pick 4

  • Vulshok Refugee
  • Shattered Angel
  • Gitaxian Probe
  • Apostle's Blessing
  • Pestilent Souleater
  • Furnace Scamp
  • Vapor Snag
  • Mycosynth Wellspring
  • Mortis Dogs
  • Rotted Hystrix
  • Flameborn Viron

If this is the part of the draft where I should start picking up on signals, I'd have to say R is being underdrafted. But maybe it's too early to tell. No huge bombs are standing out to me, but the Vapor Snag, Wellspring, Probe, and Refugee look nice. The Refugee doesn't look as fancy as the other cards and double R sucks, but it's a solid creature as far as I can tell, and I'm going to need a few of those.

I'm noticing quite a few Blessings in this pack. I'm expecting to see a few of them later.

Pick 5

  • Due Respect
  • Argent Mutation
  • Gitaxian Probe
  • Victorious Destruction
  • Forced Worship
  • Sensor Splicer
  • Glissa's Scorn
  • Numbing Doze
  • Ogre Menial
  • Furnace Scamp

Whoah, Glissa's Scorn? Want.

Pick 6:

  • Apostle's Blessing
  • Scrapyard Salvo
  • Sensor Splicer
  • Viridian Harvest
  • Maul Splicer
  • Immolating Souleater
  • Defensive Stance
  • Ruthless Invasion
  • Leeching Bite

The Bite and the Souleater look good to me here. Eh... I think the Bite is better, but I've already taken a good amount of removal, and I can be more certain I can use the Souleater. I'll take the Souleater.

Pick 7:

  • Isolation Cell
  • Corrupted Resolve
  • Geth's Verdict
  • Blind Zealot
  • Glistener Elf
  • Remember the Fallen
  • Spined Thopter
  • Leeching Bite

The Thopter could be good. I'd like to take the Zealot, but... the Thopter will be easier to cast, and I expect my opponents will be more likely to have artifacts than fliers. On the other hand, even if they can block the Zealot, they'll want to play around it if they have a creature they want to save, and I don't like the prospect of being forced to pay life for my creature. Eh... I'm taking the Thopter. Fliers are good to have.

Pick 8

  • Due Respect
  • Hovermyr
  • Numbing Doze
  • Vapor Snag
  • Toxic Nim
  • Rotted Hystrix
  • War Report

I want that myr.

Pick 9

  • Bludgeon Brawl
  • Suture Priest
  • Geth's Verdict
  • Viridian Harvest
  • Furnace Scamp
  • Rotted Hystrix

I would have thought someone would have taken the Priest or maybe the Verdict by now. I think I want the Scamp, though. Threatening four to the face for one mana isn't bad, and I'm definitely leaning towards red by now.

Pick 10

  • Apostle's Blessing
  • Remember the Fallen
  • Lost Leonin
  • Toxic Nim
  • Chained Throatseeker

I knew I'd see another Blessing. Seems like infect is being a little neglected, but I'm not interested in switching over right now. Taking the Blessing.

Pick 11

  • Surgical Extraction
  • Isolation Cell
  • Greenhilt Trainee
  • Defensive Stance

Gross. Taking the Trainee. At least if its ability does nothing, it can do nothing as a creature.

Pick 12

  • Gitaxian Probe
  • Furnace Scamp
  • Vapor Snag

Huh, nice cards for this late. I'll take another Scamp.

Pick 13

  • Due Respect
  • Argent Mutation

Due Respect seems much better here.

Pick 14

  • Defensive Stance

Whatever.

I don't have any fatties or bombs. Hopefully that will change.

Pack 2 Pick 1

  • Victory's Herald
  • Corrupted Conscience
  • Neurok Commando
  • Brass Squire
  • Spire Serpent
  • Scourge Servant
  • Ichor Wellspring
  • Spread the Sickness
  • Hexplate Golem
  • Mirran Spy
  • Blisterstick Shaman
  • Bladed Sentinel
  • Steel Sabotage
  • Ardent Recruit

Okay, looks like a choice between Victory's Herald and Corrupted Conscience. Heh, I like the idea of Furnace Scamps with flying and lifelink. Hmm... the Herald will be a little harder to cast, but it could break stalemates, especially with non-infect decks where the lifelink actually does something. I think the Corrupted Conscience is better, partly because it doesn't rely on my having a decent board position to be awesome. Giving infect is a little annoying, but that just makes for a better blocker and it's good card advantage regardless.

Looks like I'm leaning to RU. Or at least, I won't feel bad about picking good blue cards over okay red ones.

Pick 2

  • Decimator Web
  • Spiraling Duelist
  • Silverskin Armor
  • Razorfield Rhino
  • Scourge Servant
  • Dross Ripper
  • Phyrexian Digester
  • Pistus Strike
  • Oculus
  • Koth's Courier
  • Ogre Resister
  • Gnathosaur
  • Serum Raker

Decent red creatures. I think I can table them, but having more than one would be nice. Ogre Resister looks most efficient, but I could have a flier in blue for the same cost.

Yeah, Serum Raker it is. Hooray for evasion.

Pick 3

  • Vedalken Infuser
  • Gore Vassal
  • Scourge Servant
  • Horrifying Revelation
  • Concussive Bolt
  • Oculus
  • Divine Offering
  • Banishment Decree
  • Mirran Spy
  • Blightwidow
  • Ardent Recruit
  • Burn the Impure

Burn the Impure! Very nice removal.

Pick 4

  • Quilled Slagwurm
  • Shriekhorn
  • Banishment Decree
  • Tine Shrike
  • Rot Wolf
  • Bladed Sentinel
  • Dross Ripper
  • Horrifying Revelation
  • Flensermite
  • Viridian Emissary
  • Ichor Wellspring

Jack shit in RU, and nothing that I feel like I have to hate on. Except maybe that Rot Wolf.

Hmm... I'll take the Bladed Sentinel. I'd rather have a 2/4 than a 3/3, I think.

Pick 5

  • Brass Squire
  • Turn the Tide
  • Kuldotha Ringleader
  • Divine Offering
  • Phyrexian Digester
  • Copper Carapace
  • Koth's Courier
  • Viridian Emissary
  • Leonin Skyhunter
  • Psychosis Crawler

Ringleader, I guess.

Pick 6

  • Plague Myr
  • Rusted Slasher
  • Glissa's Courier
  • Ichor Wellspring
  • Crush
  • Bladed Sentinel
  • Gnathosaur
  • Priests of Norn
  • Mirrorworks

I'll take the Myr over the Crush. I kind of doubt the latter will be useful as often as the former.

Pick 7

  • Silverskin Armor
  • Gruesome Encore
  • Razorfield Rhino
  • Kuldotha Ringleader
  • Koth's Courier
  • Unnatural Predation
  • Gnathosaur
  • Priests of Norn

More red bodies. Um, I think the Courier fits best right now.

Pick 8

  • Vedalken Infuser
  • Plaguemaw Beast
  • Flensermite
  • Quicksilver Geyser
  • Glissa's Courier
  • Bladed Sentinel
  • Spin Engine

Oh, I like the Spin Engine. I think the Geyser is the better choice, though.

Pick 9

  • Neurok Commando
  • Spire Serpent
  • Hexplate Golem
  • Mirran Spy
  • Bladed Sentinel
  • Ardent Recruit

Lots of blue bodies this time. The Commando is tempting, but... it's probably nicer to have something that will be better able to block and attack without dying and be summoned more reliably on turn three. Mirran Spy it is.

This is when I left the computer alone for too long and the program fucked up. Oh well.
