It's time for the main Bonus Dungeon of the game, the Lunar Ruins. We're going to start with a party of Edward, Yang, Rydia, Cecil and Rosa. The Lunar Ruins are on the Red Moon (duh), in a spot we haven't had to visit yet.
A voice is head somewhere in the distance...
These are the Lunar Ruins, the forgotten dungeons of old. This dungeon takes your worst doubts and fears and presents them in various floors. You must reach the deepest depths by overcoming tremendous trials. You must conquer each trial and gather nine tomes. Only when the last one is claimed can you overcome the final trial.
Seems easy enough. The enemies here are tough, but certainly nothing we can't handle. Floors are also randomly selected and we can't go back up. Rydia learns Meteor at some point, although it's pretty impractical.
A few floors down, we find a floor with Fabul's theme playing and a door. We head in.
Yang: This looks like... some kind of training area...
Cecil: Yang...
Yang: I feel something... A strong energy...
We move forward.
I see you are more than an ordinary human.
Yang: !
I am the Lunar Titan. You must show me your strength! I shall test your powers!
A ton of monks come in.
Monk Warrior: Here he comes!
We have to fight 8 Monk Warriors. Not that hard, but they hit often. And are weak to Fire.
We continue on.
Monk Warrior: Time for battle!
Another 8 Monk Warriors.
Onto the next fight.
Monk Warrior: Time for battle!
Think of a more inventive line. 8 Super Monks this time, slightly harder than the Warriors, but not by too much.

If by train, you mean die, then OK. 8 more Super Monks.
After we kill them, there are still tons of manks in place.
Monk Warrior: Time for battle!
Would you shut up with that line? Next is 8 Master Instructors. Still not too hard.
Monk Warrior: Please fight with us and help us train!
SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP! 8 more Master Instructors. We make sure to cast Float during this battle in preparation for the next fight.
Monk Warrior: Here he comes!
Lunar Titan: That is enough... You are the first to come all this way... I shall lend you my powers... ...if you can prove yourself!
It's time to take on the big guy. First, we give Rydia an Elixir because Firaga has chewed through the majority of her MP. Lunar Titan hits really hard, has an instant KO move, and can inflict Gradual Petrify. His main attack however, Earthquake, is rendered useless by Float. He falls after heavy application of Focus and Bahamut.
We get Summon Book LT for winning. The Summon Books call their matching Eidolon to do 9999 damage to everything. They're consumable, and have to be used before you can do the trial again.
Lunar Titan: I have underestimated you... You have done well!
Yang: You were also a worthy opponent!
Lunar Titan: This armlet shall be yours.
Yang: Th-this is...!
We get the Martial Armlet.
Lunar Titan: Farewell...
Yang: Lunar Titan...
Cecil: On to the next!
Now, onto the special items. Each trial has at least one item that changes that character's abilities (or if it's a weapon, cast a spell randomly on attacking). The Martial Armlet upgrades Focus to Deadly, temporarily lowering Defence to triple the damage of Yang's next attack. Very nice.
