* {{Anvilicious}}: Racism and closed class systems? Bad.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The [[https://youtube.com/watch?v=TwD1z6Czuig remix of the Knightblazer theme.]] It is somehow ''even more awesome'' than the original.
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: In the Desecrated Shrine, the gang suddenly come across an abandoned porn magazine that just happens to be there. HilarityEnsues, and is never mentioned again. Not even when you find the Adult Mag OptionalBoss, which this was probably foreshadowing.
* DieForOurShip: Those who ship Dean with Avril/Rebecca hate the other girl for getting in the way.
* GeniusBonus: There's an elephant OptionalBoss called "Chaugnar Faugn." It's actually a reference to an obscure EldritchAbomination from the Franchise/CthulhuMythos.
* GoodBadTranslation: A French exclusive one. While the English translation was perfectly fine, the French translation was completely off. The translators included private jokes which were completely absent from the original script, affecting the personality of characters, and the overall mood of the game. While some of these changes are funny ('''Go Goldorak, GO !!!''' upon the discovery of the golem), some are crossing the line, like a NPC who says in a dialogue the slogan of the actual French president, Nicolas Sarkozy ("Work more in order to earn more"). A lot of French anglophones switched to the English translation because of that.
* MagnificentBastard:
** Nightburn Ackland is the dashing leader of the Golem Hunters Guild and human icon who's secretly in league with the Veruni. After losing his Veruni lover to a disease and learning that her race is doom to extinction unless drastic measures, Nightburn aligned with the Veruni as a false hero to his race, using his fame and charisma to lure other humans as part of the Veruni's many system to keep both sides in check. Running the entertainment and mine industry where he tricked many humans into slavery, Nightburn hid his facade brilliantly for years while secretly getting closer in solving the Veruni dilemma until encountered Dean. After being defeated by him and impress by his resolve, Nightburn switch sides, setting up Dean to succeed in what he failed, unite the two race, before seemingly sacrifing himself for him before re-emerging to face the Veruni radicals as a genuine hero.
** Duogrammaton "Duo" is a Veruni entertainment mogul who's floozy facade hides a cunning reporter fighting for the truth. In charge of Liela Belle and managing Nightburn's image, when he realize that Avril was the Ice Queen, he used his status to lure her group into a fake audition where he secretly studied her in the guise of just mere amusement. Hating how his race disregard humans and censor the truth, Duo pretended to comply with his race's demand only to expose their whole system behind their back, secretly recording and revealing Nightburn and the Veruni's fraudalence to start a revolution for humans to fight back, before guiding the group to Johnny Appleseed so they can show the truth of the conflict plaguing both races.
* NarmCharm: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBQk4tugJ0o Nightburn's commercial]] is extremally goofy and over the top, but it works.
%%* NightmareFuel: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oLacupZpRs The use of the Darkness Tear]].
* NotBadassEnoughForFans: Chuck is critized for not being as agressive and derminated as Dean or Greg, and for losing Lucille to Fereydoon.
%%* OneTrueThreesome: Avril/Dean/Rebecca is extremely common in FanFic.
* TheScrappy: While Kartikeya isn't supposed to be liked, as he is a PsychoForHire who comitted many crimes ForTheEvulz, fans tend to consider him the most disapointing villain in the game due to his [[FashionVictimVillain weird character design]], lack of personality, and for being too lame to be taken seriously, moreso when compared with sadistic villains from previous games, like [[VideoGame/WildArms1 Alhazred]], [[VideoGame/WildArms2 Judecca]] and [[VideoGame/WildArms4 Jeremy]]. [[spoiler:His death was also quite pathetic and a big TooDumbToLive moment: Kartikeya commits suicide, to prevents Greg from avenging his family, despite Greg saying that he would spare him just a few seconds ago.]]
* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel: One of the best ''VideoGame/WildArms'' games by far, but notable is the improvement of the HEX-system. Rather than having to choose, all characters can both move ''and'' perform an action during their turn (In ''VideoGame/WildArms4,'' only [[GameBreaker Raquel]] could do this). Experience is also evened out and abundant. In addition, half of the characters don't have to be next to their targets to attack, with Rebecca and Greg being able to shoot anything in a straight line and Carol being able to shoot any HEX she wants.
* ThatOneBoss: Several, but the Four Sentinels (Kartikeya especially) are among the most difficult each having an attack that deals insane amount of damage being downright OneHitKill. The fact they have means to counter their own weaknesses also doesn't help either. And to make matters worse, you immediately have to fight them again as a DuelBoss.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: [[spoiler:The Hatred could have made for a horrifying UnseenEvil or TheCorruption, seeing as how it's basically ''[[VideoGame/EarthBound1994 Giygas]] with a mind!'' Sadly, it was only referenced a few times mid-game and is not seen again until the end.]]
