* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments:
** The GroinAttack [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLZpxpz-DJc sound]].
** Hit by Fireball? Enjoy your new AshFace the rest of the match.
** In one of the storylines, you feud with Vince and say the word ass a lot, which leads to him saying that you must really like that orifice. Completely normal...unless you’re playing as Mr. Ass, in which case there’s some humour due to the obviousness of his comment.
* GameBreaker: Despite balance fixes in this game, there are a few instances:
** The Create-A-Wrestlers, by far. Thanks to the expansion of the grade (from 5 E-A to 8 G-S), certain moves have an S rating without need of a SPECIAL. You have more options to give characters move-exclusive actions like the super-powerful 3-D. Customizing stats can be super-offensive to super-defensive. Having counters that cannot be countered (i.e. Countering a punch and selecting the headbutt that can cause the opponent to bleed). Having moves with additional statuses (KO or Blood). You're allowed to grant your [=CAWs=] significantly more stat points than even the top wrestlers in the game. Giving a [=CAW=] a move that drains energy like a stalling brainbuster (a B-ranked move) will easily side you with a major advantage, if successful. The list goes on.
** Trying to lift up a super-heavyweight and succeeding, usually done if the opponent is over 400 lbs and the offensive character is under 400 lbs. If successful, a lot of spirit bar increases while significantly deceasing the opponent's spirit bar. While ''No Mercy'' is widely considered to be balanced, this is the only new mechanic to be very unbalanced, making all super heavyweights nearly unplayable.
** Spinning Leg Sweep is easily the most-broken strike. Fast... Great range and {{Knockback}}... Downward, hitbox-hiding animation... And even if countered, the counter "attack" is just another block; i.e., [[SpamAttack Spam]] is unpunishable. Now you know why many {{Speedrun}}ners choose Wrestling/PerrySaturn.
* NightmareFuel: [[https://ih1.redbubble.net/image.788054050.7335/st,small,845x845-pad,1000x1000,f8f8f8.u2.jpg Viscera's 64-bit face]] makes him look more like a SharkMan.
* SugarWiki/NoProblemWithLicensedGames: This game is fondly remembered for not only being one of the best WWF/WWE games ever made, but also one of the best Nintendo 64 games ever.
* SacredCow: Often considered to be the best wrestling game of all time and is pretty much universally agreed upon by both fans of wrestling games and wrestling fans in general.
* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: Of the Attitude Era. The championship modes follow the era's storylines quite closely, and the [=CAW=] feature reflects how much more popular long hair was than short hair at the time. More negatively, the lack of Lucha masks reflects the WWF's belief at the time that most fans weren't interested in masked wrestlers and cruiserweights.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids: One WWF championship story if the Royal Rumble is lost and your character then wins a shot at [=WrestleMania=] has a scene where Wrestling/VinceMcMahon confronts you in the bar that involves (censored) graphic language, culminating where he sends Patterson and Briscoe to kill him/her. Yes, it's the Wrestling/AttitudeEra, but ''damn.''
