* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: While Mr. Welch is clearly a Loonie, there are plenty of cases where the rules seem simply designed to ensure that the GM can [[{{Railroading}} railroad]] the campaign. For example:
-->410. If the NPC is on the cover of the rulebook, I can't kill him.
* GeniusBonus:
-->1189. A stagehand does not get a better sneak bonus than ninjas. [[note]]The Western concept of the ninja comes from Eastern stagehands: both are completely clad in black.[[/note]]
* HilariousInHindsight:
** Entries 171 ''("My character's dying words are not allowed to be 'Hastur, Hastur, Hastur.'")'' and 336 ''("Cannot start a Cthuhlu character with a pre-existing hatred of books, altars and cutlery.")'' were both written before the story of Fanfic/OldManHenderson was posted.
** Kerillian from ''[[VideoGame/TheEndTimesVermintide Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide]]'' is an elf with a Scottish accent, which Mr. Welch is forbidden from playing. Similarly, ''WesternAnimation/TheDragonPrince'' has Rayla, another elf with a Scottish accent, as one of its main characters.
---> 188. I cannot play an elf with a Scottish accent, nor a Cajun dwarf.
** Entry 958, prohibiting him from using shotgunchucks, has become even more hilarious since Sun Wukong from ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}'' has been shown to use shotgunchucks. (Sun's [[https://imgur.com/gallery/34h4gID pretty handy with them]], but probably a lot less destructive than Welch would have been.)
** Any ''VideoGame/SevenDaysToDie'' player will get a giggle out of Entry 1483 (''There is more to stopping a zombie horde than punji pits'') since punji pits ''are'' the best way to stop a zombie horde.
** #2005 is "Can't just program the probe droid to [[RammingAlwaysWorks go to light speed through the Star Destroyer]]." ''Film/TheLastJedi'' involves a maneuver that's pretty much just that, [[spoiler:except it's a rebel cruiser making a HeroicSacrifice]]. And since the ''Star Wars'' movies don't have a DM banning CuttingTheKnot, it works and ends up slicing the Star Destroyer ([[spoiler:Supreme Leader Snoke's craft]]) in half.
*** For that matter, #1773 is "Can't use a wish spell to make the last Star Wars trilogy not suck". Obviously this is supposed to be a TakeThat towards the prequels, but after the divisiveness of ''The Last Jedi'' and ''Rise of Skywalker'', that rule now applies to two ''Star Wars'' trilogies.
** ”I cannot steal my own soul.” ''VideoGame/MortalKombat11'' has [[spoiler:Revenant Liu Kang]] do exactly this during the climax.
** Entry 160 ("I will not load any gatling weapon with nothing but paint rounds") is a bit less outlandish given the existence of ''Franchise/{{Splatoon}}''.
** Entries #1086 and #1401, prohibiting him from shooting at natural disasters, turn out to be something that [[https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/hurricane-irma-gun-owners-florida-shoot-down-storm-a7937546.html needs to be said]] [[https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/2017/live-updates/weather/hurricane-irma-a-monster-storms-devastating-path/please-dont-shoot-at-the-hurricane-officers-say/ to real people]] ([[OnlyInFlorida Florida men, to be exact]]).
** Entry 69 ("There is more to wizardry than magic missile. Even if I can do 200 damage automatic with no save.") is taken to its logical conclusion in Mage Hand Press' [[https://magehandpress.com/2021/06/force-missile-mage-redux.html School of Magic Missile subclass]].
* UnintentionallySympathetic: A number of cases imply that the rest of the players thought Mr. Welch's idea was fine, but the DM nixed it anyway.
-->452. Not allowed to convince the entire party to base the group only off Gary Oldman characters.
