* BestKnownForTheFanservice: Not surprising considering the subject matter.
* FridgeHorror: Think about it. Shelly was left at an orphanage because someone didn't want her, everyone at said orphanage got adopted except her; she gets kicked out of the Playboy mansion, led to believe they don't want her anymore, and when she becomes a house mother and finally feels she found a place she belongs, the other girls blame her for their own shifts in attitude, and she is once again forced to leave. Shelley has never truly been wanted for her whole life.
* HarsherInHindsight: The roofie joke in an early scene. Say, you know that Creator/BillCosby kerfuffle that destroyed his reputation? Well, it was pointed out that Cosby was pretty close friends with Hefner, and he's since been accused of at least one sexual assault ''at'' the Playboy mansion.
* HollywoodHomely:
** The sorority girls Shelly comes to help, especially Creator/EmmaStone.
** You have to try pret-ty hard to make Creator/KatDennings look plain.
* {{Narm}}:
** Hugh Hefner's acting is iffy at best, and this trope at worst. His BigWhat is pretty funny for all the wrong reasons.
** When the sign falls on Shelley and knocks her into the bushes, it's a bit of a contrived {{Pratfall}}.
* RetroactiveRecognition:
** Hey, it's Creator/EmmaStone as Natalie.
** Creator/BruceWillis' eldest daughter [[Creator/RumerWillis Rumer]] plays Joann, the girl with the back brace.
** Creator/KatDennings is Mona.
** Creator/KatharineMcPhee plays Harmony.
* UnnecessaryMakeover: Maybe one or two of the girls may have needed the makeover, but again, ''[[HollywoodHomely not]]'' Emma Stone, Kat Dennings or Katharine [=McPhee=].
* TheWoobie: Shelley, growing up in an orphanage, staying alone even there, and being kicked out of the Playboy house.
