** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftlY4O3Wti0 Angry Jooooooooeeee! Angry Joe is there,]] [[RepeatWhatYouJustSaid Angry Jooooooooeeee!]]
** Both the metal-style chiptune music introducing the reviews and the uncredited ThrashMetal song that plays at the end of each episode. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzlMB-jJgvk GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!]]
* BrokenBase:
** Joe himself seemed to recognize this when he openly supported Anita Sarkeesian. Some people have agreed with Joe that the ''personal'' attacks and threats need to be stopped, regardless of the quality of her work, while others either just went ballistic at the mention of Anita.
** Joe's refusal to cover Creator/{{Nintendo}} games in light of their controversial Website/YouTube practices naturally had people split down the middle. While most will agree he has a right to be angry over their copyright claims, there are people who don't like that Nintendo games won't be covered at all considering he appears to have positive thoughts on some games that will never get seen because of this. Others seem to not be particularly happy with his passive aggressive tone, although this has come under fire from other people, including Joe himself, for coming off as sucking up to the company.
** Joe's increase in movie reviews and other gaming videos caused accusations that he was doing fewer Angry Reviews for games. Many viewers threw flames and automatic downvotes on his non-review videos. His announcement of a two-month vacation from game reviews only seemed to break the base more. Joe and other viewers responded with actual stats of how his number of reviews hasn't gone down any significant amount (and that previous years with fewer Angry Reviews did not cause the same complaints). The situation was further hurt by Joe deleting comments and then later turning off comments and the ability to thumb up or down videos, as this was seen as Joe being thin-skinned and unwilling to listen to criticism, much of which was no different than what he himself heaped onto content providers.
** For some people Joe putting "Last of Us 2" at #2 on his "Worst Games of 2020" despite giving it a 6 out of 10 came off as cheating and pandering to the most vocal detractors of the game(with many arguing that putting it on the "Disappointing" list would've made far more sense), not to mention many felt his hatred towards the game was for very shallow reasons[[spoiler: over Joel getting killed off]] and that he was far too whiny and unprofessional in his review(with him missing actual plot points due to streaming it and getting distracted by his own rants). The fact that even other reviewers who weren't so hot on the game like Jim Sterling said that those who were giving the game negative scores mainly because of [[spoiler: Joel's death]] were being very stupid and shallow didn't help. Other argued that even if they didn't agree with Joe on the game that he still had a right to put it on the list regardless of the rating.
** The start of the 2020s, Joe was starting to phase out his "classic" review style with just him reviewing the game with the more "discussion"-type style that was reserved for movies, tv shows, spoiler reviews, extended review for said game and ''Angry Discussions" which feature him, Other Joe and Alex (and others such as Delrith). This angered some fans to the point some stopped watching these specific reviews entirely in favor of his "classic" reviews.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Joe has introduced plenty of characters to the show, from [[CorruptCorporateExecutive Corporate Commander]] to [[EvilCounterpart Demon Joe]], and masquerading as different character archetypes, but his portrayal of "Principal [=AngryJoe=]" in his ''VideoGame/Cyberpunk2077'' Angry Review as a disciplinarian frustrated with Creator/CDProjekt "hanging out with [[Creator/ElectronicArts the]] [[Creator/ActivisionBlizzard wrong]] [[Creator/{{Bethesda}} crowd]]" instantly shot to fame because of his down-to-Earth, honest-to-God stance against the publisher and their situation with the launch debacle of ''2077''.
* FridgeBrilliance: When Joe dressed up as Doomguy (actually a Master Chief costume) to go to hell to get revenge on Corporate Commander and Demon Joe for making him suffer through ''VideoGame/UmbrellaCorps'' in his ''VideoGame/Doom2016'' Angry Review, Commander mistakes Joe as being dressed up as Master Chief - he'd be more familiar with the franchise that has pushed out more entries[[note]]Excluding expansion packs, ''VideoGame/{{Doom}}'' was on its fifth major installment when he published the review; ''Franchise/{{Halo}}'' had six mainline games - the five numbered ones and ''VideoGame/HaloReach'' - but if one includes {{Spin Off}}s (''VideoGame/Halo3ODST'', ''VideoGame/HaloWars'' and [[VideoGame/HaloWars2 its sequel]]), that number goes up to ten[[/note]]; Demon Joe, on the other hand, correctly realizes it's Doomguy they're facing - and as established in the ''Umbrella Corps'' Angry Review, since he shares Joe's DNA, he'd know Joe's weaknesses...as well as how Joe would deal with him and Corporate Commander.
* GrowingTheBeard: Right on the very first episode of its new season, the show introduces a new scenery, new characters, a steady storyline, a main antagonist, and a new, fully animated opening theme. Talk about instant facial hair...
* HarsherInHindsight:
** Joe gets invited to the Spike Video Game Awards to do an interview with fan-submitted questions. It became a well known trainwreck.
** His "Top 10 Reasons ''VideoGame/AliensColonialMarines'' Will Kick Ass" is one, due to the near universal negative reception from critics towards the game and his own negative Angry Review.
** People getting excited for Joe having the opportunity to cover Nintendo by getting a Platform/WiiU became this once Nintendo instituted aggressive copyright claims in the winter of 2014, which caused Joe to swear off from covering them and prevent fans from finding out his apparently positive responses to the Wii U and its games.
** His tribute to [[WebVideo/YouCanPlayThis JewWario]] and then his attacking of people who didn't like it becomes this now that it has been revealed [=JewWario=] sexually harassed at least one underage woman and that was why he had to leave Channel Awesome.
* HePannedItNowHeSucks: Whenever Joe gives a review, expect someone, or a large amount of detractors, to comment about how "wrong" he is. His complete aversion of the FourPointScale (expanded on the main page) can make this worse.
** While he already stated he enjoyed the film, during his review of ''Film/GIJoeTheRiseOfCobra'', he made an offhand remark about how he thinks the film was better than ''Film/TransformersRevengeOfTheFallen'', which he admits he actually liked. Cue comments from unhappy fans decrying him for liking the latter.
** In his ''VideoGame/SaintsRowTheThird'' Angry Review, Joe gave it a much lower rating than the norm (6/10, compared to the glowing reviews others have given it) and stated that as a fan of [[VideoGame/SaintsRow2 the previous game]], he felt ''The Third'' was disappointing due to the removal of many features, a shorter story, and some new additions he believed weren't very entertaining (a sentiment many fans of the franchise share). However, people who either disliked the previous games, enjoyed the game nonetheless or never played the previous game, were quick to call him out for "spending most of the video just reviewing ''Saints Row 2''" and giving the new game heat for not being as good as that.
** Putting ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil6'' on his "Worst Games of 2012" list (despite not even having reviewed it) instead of ''VideoGame/ResidentEvilOperationRaccoonCity'' (which he did review), and his only complaints about the game seemed to be the story moving from the series' roots rather than anything gameplay-related.
** In a different instance, Joe's refusal to cover Nintendo games and consoles until they change their Website/YouTube policies has gotten some criticism for having a passive aggressive tone towards their fans despite his alluded praises towards the Wii U and some of its games.
** Many people felt Joe was being too harsh in his ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamKnight'' Angry Review: many blamed his score of 6/10 for the console version (compared to the 4/10 for the PC port) on him playing the terrible PC port first instead of the generally well received console versions. However, he ''did'' have many complaints about the game unrelated to the PC version's technical issues.
** In his ''VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcomInfinite'' Angry Review, he complained about the choice of Sigma as one of the main story villains just because he personally has no familiarity with the ''VideoGame/MegaManX'' series (and that he doesn't like Sigma's design), yet in a previous video he complained when it was confirmed that Mega Man isn't playable in ''Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3''. Prior to the release of ''Infinite'', some pro players had Sigma in their character wish lists.
** In his streaming of ''VideoGame/Persona5'', he quickly got flak for not liking its soundtrack, dismissing it as "jazz shit" and not actual music. This didn't suit well with both fans of the game and jazz fans, in general. As for the game itself, while he doesn't pan it as a bad game, his obvious disinterest rubbed fans the wrong way. They criticize him for not even trying to engage himself in the game and was deliberately trying to nitpick it at every turn, such as when he criticized the attacks for being visually unimpressive even though they were supposed to be low-level attacks.
** In his Angry Review with ''VideoGame/TheLastOfUsPartII'', he panned the game and gave it a 6/10. Although a large number of people agreed with him, some game journalists and some fans have accused him of being either "toxic" or sexist for constantly hating on Abby and the game, with some of them even blaming him and his review for the death threats sent against Creator/LauraBailey (Abby's voice actress), even though Joe's complaints were of Abby's character, not her VA. Further criticism of his review comes from his actions when playing on stream - complaining about a perceived anti-male agenda, looking at the leaks before the game came out, and "not paying attention to the story it was trying to convey".
*** As a result, Angry Joe attempted to resolve this situation by uploading an Extended Review Discussion with Other Joe and Alex. Although they were able to flesh out their reasons for disliking ''Part II'' and also claiming that they never had any vendetta against creative director Neil Druckmann, there were fans that still panned him, regardless because of his stance on the game. It got to the point that Joe was infamously banned from [=ResetEra=] (a notoriously left-leaning games forum that professional journalists frequent) for his low score of the game and certain statements he said during it.
** Joe's video of him playing ''VideoGame/{{Fortnite}}'' as Superman caught flak from some circles for what they felt was him going into the game too blindly negative, as well as prioritizing comic accuracy over RuleOfFun when he complains about Superman using guns. He was also accused of being a {{Hypocrite}} for complaining about having to unlock the Superman skin through gameplay instead of just being able to buy it, when he's been championing the opposite for years.
** Joe and Other Joe playing through ''VideoGame/JusticeLeagueCosmicChaos'' had this reaction when he flipped out over the childish jokes and perceived de-powering of Superman. Keep in mind that the game is a light-hearted beat-em-up firmly targeted for kids under 10. It came to a head when he heard one of Superman's random battle lines, "I'd like to speak to your supervisor," and absolutely lost his shit, yelling at the top of his lungs and stomping off in a huff. He lashed out at the developers for making Superman a "Karen." Many viewers thought Joe was taking the game ''way'' too seriously and noted that the "Karen" line was a standard superhero taunt long before that trend came to be.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** During his ''VideoGame/AssassinsCreedIII'' Angry Review, he comments how the new ship system that was created for the game could be used in the future to make a great pirate game. Creator/{{Ubisoft}} would eventually release ''VideoGame/AssassinsCreedIVBlackFlag'' as a pirate game.
** During his Platform/XboxOne interview with Major Nelson at [[MediaNotes/E3InThe2010s E3 2013]], Joe questioned why Microsoft was persisting with the more extreme MediaNotes/DigitalRightsManagement measures since they could just remove them from the console. Nelson did not take kindly to this and got mad at Joe for the insinuation that Microsoft could remove the Xbox One's integral DRM measures at the flip of a switch. Less than a week later, Microsoft announced that DRM measures would be removed following a patch upon release.
** At the end of his ''VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3'' Angry Review, Joe [[TemptingFate makes a sarcastic remark]] about a possible sequel called "Marvelous Marvel vs. Capcom 3". A few months later, ''Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3'' gets announced.
*** From his rant over ''Ultimate'', Joe complains about the new characters not being recognizable enough, one of which is ComicBook/RocketRaccoon. Fast forward to 2014's ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy2014'' and Rocket is suddenly very popular and recognizable to the point the Guardians have started to become A-list superheroes.
** During Joe's ''VideoGame/{{Deadpool}}'' Angry Review, Deadpool accuses Joe that he only cares about ''VideoGame/CallOfDuty'' when he panned his game, to which Joe responds with the fact that he didn't even review a single ''Call of Duty'' title. Eventually, when ''VideoGame/CallOfDutyAdvancedWarfare'' comes out...
** Joe had gag in his ''VideoGame/XCOMEnemyUnknown'' Angry Review that the council chose to surrender to the aliens after it was clear he was losing. As of [[VideoGame/XCOM2 the sequel]], this turns out to be the canon ending.
** ''VideoGame/{{Mindjack}}'', which was about controlling other people and objects, was #1 on his "Worst Games of 2011" list. [[VideoGame/SuperMarioOdyssey The next time]] he ended up including a game with that as a feature on one of his lists, it became #2 on his "Best Games of 2017" list.
** In Joe's ''VideoGame/GuildWars2'' Angry Review back in 2012, he remarked that its "World versus World" game mode could use mounts so that players can get around faster. In 2019, the Warclaw mount was introduced to the game mode.
** In his Angry Review of ''VideoGame/{{Prototype}}'', he wears a hoodie and a jacket over his black Franchise/{{Superman}} shirt. One can't help, but wonder if one Shane Davis watched the episode, since Joe's cosplay is almost identical [[http://comicsmedia.ign.com/comics/image/article/113/1130517/superman-earth-one-20101026115150707.jpg to the cover of]] the first issue of ''ComicBook/SupermanEarthOne''[[note]][[DontExplainTheJoke Davis drew said cover]][[/note]].
** Corporate Commander being the recurring BigBad of the skits becomes a lot funnier when ''VideoGame/TheOuterWorlds'' features actual Corporate Commanders (obviously not the same as Joe's) as enemies, meaning players too can now join Joe in retribution.
* HoYay: With a little Rohypnol, the [[WebVideo/TheSpoonyExperiment Spoony One]] learns from personal experience that he's also quite hot-blooded in bed.
-->'''Joe''': I guess she's sleeping with him to ''get the job'', if you know what I mean...''wait''.
* JustHereForGodzilla:
** There is a sizeable potion of his fanbase who seems to only watch his Angry Reviews where he tears bad games apart due to his entertaining rants, skipping his reviews on actual good games, his news show and his television and movie reviews, entirely.
** In recent years, a lot of fans have only tuned into the show for Alex. With many finding his personality and opinions to be much funnier and more interesting than Joe.
* MemeticMutation:
** Ya/You (done) fucked it up![[labelnote:Explanation]]One of Joe's premiere {{Character Catchphrase}}s, he'll utter these words just before an Angry Review intro, which is a sign that he was angry and/or disappointed at the game.[[/labelnote]]
** '''''[[ItsShortSoItSucks # HOURS!?!?]]'''''[[labelnote:Explanation]]Another of Joe's many {{Character Catchphrase}}s, where "#" is the time it takes to complete the game; note it's not simply a BigWordShout, but rather gratuitously done in SlowMotion. "FOUR HOURS" comes often, with variants involving [[SerialEscalation even shorter times]] ("'''''THREE HOURS!!!'''''" or "'''''TWO HOURS AND FIFTY-TWO MINUTES?!?!'''''"), or other phrases done in slow-mo (particularly in his ''VideoGame/RideToHellRetribution'', with "'''''[[CriticalExistenceFailure FLY OFF TO THE RIGHT, AND EXPLODE!!! FLY OFF TO THE RIGHT, AND EXPLODE!!!]]'''''" and mocking the perpetual BulletTime drive and shoot sections by yelling how enemies shot at rides off dead for another hour while players are still firing "'''''INNNNN SLOOOOW MOOOOOTIOOOON!!!'''''").[[/labelnote]]
** "But is it/How can it be worse than ''VideoGame/{{Big Rigs|OverTheRoadRacing}}''?"[[labelnote:Explanation]]When Joe calls a game "The Worst Game Ever", something overly negative or gives a score of 1/10, a common retort in the comments for the Angry Review is this.[[/labelnote]]
** [[CrackIsCheaper BECAUSE FUCK YOU, GIVE ME MONEY!]][[labelnote:Explanation]]Due to the modern and frequent use of {{Microtransactions}} in video games, Joe will often call out the title's publisher for its blatant greediness by citing this reason, especially if the game already has a substantial price at retail.[[/labelnote]]
** [[VideoGame/DeadRising Hey]] [[VideoGame/Left4Dead Joe]], [[VideoGame/DeadIsland you]] [[VideoGame/ResidentEvil wanna]] [[VideoGame/DeadRising2 play]] ([[VideoGame/DeadIsland2 a]] [[VideoGame/Left4Dead2 motherfucking]]) [[VideoGame/DeadRising3 zombie]] [[VideoGame/DyingLight game]]?![[labelnote:Explanation]]Originating from the prologue of Joe's ''VideoGame/DyingLight'' Angry Review , this meme took off whenever another game he plays has {{Zombie|Stories}}s. Expect Other Joe to appear in the review with game in-hand, either asking this question or bare the same expression on his face, to mock Joe; even ''Dying Light'' developer Techland [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXm_PqIFx2w&t=1m0s got in on the meme]].[[/labelnote]]
** There's an entire menagerie for various bad games, often with repeated phrases, that will get mixed and matched:
*** [[VideoGame/RideToHellRetribution Fly off to the right and explode!]] [[labelnote:Explanation]]In ''Ride to Hell: Retribution'', Joe got a checkpoint reset just for getting stopped on an obstacle. Then the main character suddenly turns to the right and explosively crashes without much controller input. Joe later points out enemy bikers can also veer off randomly and explode, all with the same sound effect.[[/labelnote]]
*** [[{{VideoGame/Godzilla}} Godzilla is approaching the generator! The generator is losing power!]][[labelnote:Explanation]]Spoken by the game's MissionControl, in his ''Godzilla'' Angry Review, Joe [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijQD2RYvCg4&t=9m05s calls out]] the repetitive CycleOfHurting game-play - that it's pointless to do any objectives other than destroying the generators.[[/labelnote]]
*** [[{{Franchise/Rambo}} He's a man, not a god! Come on, comrades!]][[labelnote:Explanation]]Enemies in ''Rambo: The Video Game'' repeat this so often, it becomes such a BrokenRecord, leading to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFFi3PHp5qM&t=21m50s Joe deliberately mocking it]]. Due to its status, expect this to appear in the comments section of any other ''Rambo'' media. The channel would ultimately [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXVY41alNQ0 ascend this meme]] with a DigitalHeadSwap of Joe as Rambo.[[/labelnote]]
*** [[VideoGame/UmbrellaCorps Collect the infected DNA samples./Sample obtained.]][[labelnote:Explanation]]Similar to the ''Godzilla'' example, Joe is exasperated by the single-player campaign's redundancy of the mission objective being the same thing for each of its 24 levels.[[/labelnote]]
*** [[VideoGame/MindJack I don't know what is happen.]][[labelnote:Explanation]]A phrase with bad grammar that Joe points out in the ''Mindjack'' Angry Review.[[/labelnote]]
*** [[VideoGame/OneTwoSwitch Set your Joycon down on its side.]] [[labelnote:Explanation]]The voiceover prompt that repeats before a certain minigame can begin in ''1-2 Switch''.[[/labelnote]]
*** [[VideoGame/MetalGearSurvive Pay attention to your stamina.]]
*** [[VideoGame/Fallout76 16 times the detail.]][[labelnote:Explanation]]Although technically lifted from Creator/ToddHoward during the [[MediaNotes/E3InThe2010s E3 2018 Bethesda conference]], Joe emphasizes the egregious lie in his ''Fallout 76'' Angry Review by showing a clip of the game's textures [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjrDbSgB9IU&t=11m47s destabilizing itself]].[[/labelnote]]
*** [[VideoGame/MaddenNFL Four faces! The same fucking four faces! They did not even change the position of the faces!]] [[labelnote:Explanation]]''Madden 20''[='s=] Create-a-Player mode left the number and selection of faces per skin tone unchanged from that of ''19''.[[/labelnote]]
*** [[VideoGame/TheLastOfUsPartII ARE YA...ARE YA OUTTA YOUR MIND?!?!]][[labelnote:Explanation]]Upon completing the game during a stream, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-sTlYUeT8o&t=9m3s Joe lets out this cry]] when the credits roll while voicing his discontent with ''Part II''. He even [[MemeAcknowledgement acknowledges his outburst]] in the Extended Review Discussion.[[/labelnote]]
* NeverLiveItDown:
** The Geoff Keighley interview at the [=VGAs=] is going to haunt Joe for the rest of his life, something a lot of people refuse to stop reminding Joe about.
** His thoughts on ''Film/SuicideSquad2016'', to which he declares it as an "awesome fucking movie", has also been haunting him in some circles, as well.
** The fact that he was not angry enough at a game has reached the point that there is not just one video condemning him for it, but an entire playlist on [=YouTube=], replete with final battle...until tomorrow.
* NightmareFuel:
** The zombie makeup Joe wears in his ''VideoGame/TheWalkingDeadSurvivalInstinct'' trailer.
** The demonic Joe in his Angry Review of ''VideoGame/DragonAgeOrigins''.
*** Demon Joe's return in ''VideoGame/RideToHellRetribution'', thinking the game will push Joe to a HeroicBSOD, not to mention how genuinely scary Joe's UnstoppableRage gets when he's reviewing the game.
** In his Angry Review of ''Umbrella Corps'', there's a point where he shows his face to the camera and says "It's killing meeeee....". Only it's ''not'' just his face like normal. Using a filter, he manages to create perhaps one of the most horrifying faces ever put to video.
** The start of Angry Joe's Angry Review of ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil7Biohazard'' begins with a disturbing ArtShift to a {{Found Footage Film|s}}, where [[DoomedByCanon Peter Walken]] [[ApocalypticLog is describing how his Sewer Gators film crew]] [[DwindlingParty is being picked off one by one]], [[spoiler:only to get [[NothingIsScarier ambushed and dragged off-screen by an unknown THING]]]]. If it wasn't for him [[BreakingTheFourthWall asking for Angry Joe's help]], one would SWEAR this was a live-action trailer for the game:
---> '''Peter''': "This is bad... real bad... Andre's dead- [[TearsOfBlood He's bleeding from his fuckin' eyes]], [[BloodFromEveryOrifice leaking blood all over]]! And Clancy? I don't even know where the FUCK he went! [[HillbillyHorrors The Baker family]]? [[AxCrazy Batshit fucking crazy]]!! ([[JumpScare Something crashes from off-screen, causing Peter to jump to see what it was]]) Listen- this tape? It needs to get to Angry Joe. I don't care how you do it, I don't care what you need to do to get it out there, but it needs to get to Angry Joe- (Another crash, this time much closer) AHHHHH!! WHAT THE FUCK?! I can't take this anymore! These people- these FREAKS! Y-You gotta get the tape, you gotta [[DeadlineNews AHHHH-!]]"
** In his "Top 10 Gaming Controversies of 2014", Joe's number 2 spot was about the rising in "[[DeadlyPrank swatting]]" that year, where many high profile Website/{{Twitch}} streamers have had the SWATTeam called on them by people who think it's funny to call the police on people. One of the clips he showed was especially terrifying, showing a person screaming in fear as SWAT broke into their house.
** Other Joe's googly-eyed face in the ''Videogame/MassEffectAndromeda'' Angry Review.
* PlayerPunch: His last entry on the list of things he hated about ''VideoGame/FableIII'' was when his virtual wife and child were unceremoniously killed in a cutscene.
* TheProblemWithLicensedGames: While Joe hasn't explicitly stated he does not want certain publishers not to adapt intellectual properties of licensed series into video games, he hates that some resulting products, such as ''VideoGame/Ghostbusters2016'', ''Rambo: The Video Game'' and ''[[Franchise/StarTrek Star Trek Trexels]]'', have absolutely nothing in common with that licensed work at all besides the title and is a complete mockery of that property due to the way these games present themselves through their game-play and being guilty of Joe's {{Pet Peeve Trope}}s.
* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: When Alex first joined the set for movie reviews, he was widely disliked for his overly negative points, and being seen as bland compared to others. Throughout 2019 and 2020, Alex began growing on a lot of people, particularly his slightly snarky attitude that has led to some genuinely funny moments. In addition, his contributions to the Angry Reviews' skits have increased and instead of making only negative points when he's present in discussions, he'll say positive aspects, while backing up his statements, something that's proven to be valid for many viewers. Out of all the Extended Review Discussions with Alex, many fans believe that ''The Last of Us: Part II'' review was him at his best. With Delrith leaving the show, Alex is now responsible for the Rapid Fire Reviews, which has been lauded by fans for its well-spoken dialogue and honest critique, as well as presenting an interesting and contrasting style to Joe's review format, leading some to affectionately dubbing Rapid Fire as the "[[{{Foil}} Calm Alex Show]]".
* SpecialEffectFailure: Commonly averted well in green screen scenes, but PlayedForLaughs in the ''VideoGame/AliensColonialMarines'' Angry Review, when a scene for a LastStand eventually shows the charging Xenomorphs [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGX2WE4QUw8#t=25m46s are merely scale models waved around by hand]], though it does get played straight in some circumstances where there's an object that's also green, and the green screen effect got applied to said object, too. For example, the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgY__iXpR0k&t=6m34s Gorn head in]] 2013 ''VideoGame/{{Star Trek|TheVideoGame}}'' Angry Review and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=tOPP4NUGexQ#t=88 the leaves]] in ''VideoGame/DivinityDragonCommander'' Angry Review. One can also see the outlines on the green t-shirt worn by "Sony Joe" in the ''[[VideoGame/{{Killzone}} Killzone: Shadow Fall]]'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT4XLwDjer0&list=PLBBDDA4B202570E78&index=14 Angry Review's introductory sequence]].
* {{Squick}}:
** Many people's reactions during the ColdOpen of the ''VideoGame/BioShockInfinite'' Angry Review where he is dressed like a little girl.
** The photoshopping of his bearded head onto a [[Franchise/TombRaider Lara Croft]] model in the ''VideoGame/TombRaider2013'' Angry Review.
* SugarWiki/SuperlativeDubbing: The fandub on his channel of his ''Deadpool'' Angry Review, which Joe openly admits the person who made it did a much better impression of Creator/NolanNorth in his performance as Deadpool than what he had in his video.
* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome:
** During the intro for his ''Franchise/GreenLantern'' Angry Review, viewers are treated to an amazing (if silly) scene where Red Lantern Joe shoots up holes in the street while blasting at Other Joe.
** The effects in his outro for his ''[[Anime/DragonBallZ Dragonball Z Kinect]]'' [[http://youtu.be/H71FzemwVQU?t=12m49s Angry Review]], where he charges up his ki and fires a {{Kamehameha|doken}}, is also quite awesome looking and well done.
** For the Platform/PlayStation4 introduction in his ''Killzone Shadow Fall'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT4XLwDjer0&list=PLBBDDA4B202570E78&index=14 Angry Review]], he uses a green shirt over a green screen to cast himself as a disembodied floating head...[[JustForFun/RecycledInSpace IN SPACE]], though it's possible [[SpecialEffectFailure to see traces of the green shirt]] in the video.
