* BrokenBase: There is a debate over which of the two dubs is better or worse:
** The Straight Dub has (more-or-less) the right balance of sweet and sassy in its tone and the voice performances for all of the characters, especially Milk Chan’s and Tetsuko’s are considered even better than the GagDub by some, but the Japanese references and live-action sequences might not be everyone's cup of tea.
** The GagDub has American pop-culture references that some fans might really appreciate and contains live-action sequences with footage of the English voice actors that are not half-bad, but the incredibly mean-spirited nature of said dub puts it at a significant disadvantage, especially with the unnecessarily cruel portrayal of Milk Chan.
* CultClassic: Not a masterpiece by any means, but it is still a fine series for those who love to watch TV shows that are flat-out bizarre in tone!
* SugarWiki/HeReallyCanAct: For the Straight Dub, [[Creator/HilaryHaag Hilary Haag]] puts up an excellent performance for Milk Chan, thanks to a combination of having both deadpan speech and a very convincing and adorable voice suitable for a toddler rolled into one.
* {{Moe}}: Milk Chan, thanks to her being an AdorablyPrecociousChild.
* SoBadItsGood: The whole point of the show, to say the least, given its wacky and bizarre nature.
* SoOkayItsAverage: On the other hand, it is the general consensus of the anime series for some of the other viewers who watched it, given its overall ratings on [[https://myanimelist.net/anime/1769/Oh!_Super_Milk-Chan My Anime List]], [[https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0224534/ IMDB]], and [[http://www.tv.com/shows/the-super-milk-chan-show/ TV.com]].
* VindicatedByHistory: During its initial broadcasts in the late 1990s to mid 2000s, the series received lukewarm reception at best, being criticized for its bizarre humor that most didn't get or enjoy at the time, and fell into obscurity once it ended. Years later, the series became fondly remembered as a unique piece of anime history at the turn of the century and Creator/AdultSwim's early years, to the point where it has earned a cult classic status as an underappreciated gem of a bygone era of comedies.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids:
** The commercials on Creator/AdultSwim made it pretty easy for viewers to mistake the show as for kids, until you see the words "Super" "Milk" "Chan" show up on a black screen. Plus the show is rated TV-14, or TV-PG for the Vintage episodes.
** The Gag Dub makes it even worse, slapping a TV-MA for its [[ClusterFBomb frequent harsh]] [[PrecisionFStrike cursing]].
