* CantUnHearIt: You're probably imagining either Creator/TomKenny or Creator/DanaSnyder as Eel when reading his dialogue in the comics. Well, unless you're old enough to hear him as Creator/MichaelBell.
-->"Eat your heart out, [[Franchise/{{Tarzan}} ape man]]!"
* FirstInstallmentWins: The most critically acclaimed and respected period of Plastic Man is when creator Jack Cole oversaw the original run for the now defunct Quality Comics. It was one of the few superhero titles featured in the Comics Journal 100 Greatest Comics list.
* MemeticMutation: Powder that makes you say "yes!"[[note]]This meme originates from Plastic Man issue 21. One story features a shape-shifting alien who feeds on salt. In one scene, the alien, who has shape-shifted into Plastic Man, has been found by the real Plas as it was pouring the contents of a large box of salt into its mouth, causing it to exclaim "What?" in surprise. This panel has become a common exploitable, with the label on the crate being edited to read "Powder that makes you [do something]", with the alien's exclamation being replaced with something fitting to the box's new contents, with the original being powder that makes you say "yes!". Also a form of AntiHumor.[[/note]]
* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome:
** As Eel O'Brian. [[spoiler: In one story where the members of the Justice League were separated into two halves, their "civilian" and "super" personas, Eel was the one who got the "civilian" team together, including having to knock some sense into Bruce Wayne by pistol-whipping him and chewing him out. And finally, when the chips were down against the superpowered forms, Eel rallied the troops to challenge the nigh-omnipotent villains.]] "Who Dares Stand Against Us?" "We do."
** In ''ComicBook/InjusticeGodsAmongUs'', he manages to get his son and all the prisoners (both heroes and villains) from the Regime's underwater prison, ''which is definitely not a CardboardPrison''. With only one casualty (Kilowog)!
* NightmareFuel:
** Not in the main continuity, but in ''ComicBook/TheDarkKnightStrikesAgain'', Plastic Man's gone off the deep end after being in a compression chamber for a couple decades, and he doesn't limit himself when utilizing his powers. Batman is extremely cautious when approaching him. His face and demeanor when he's released are quite jarring.
--->'''Batman:''' He could kill us all. For him, it'd be ''easy''.
** The debut of the ComicBook/New52 Plas. [[https://31.media.tumblr.com/745e51d0547cc40aa395355ee2619414/tumblr_inline_mxxu4lduQP1qgubcd.jpg Brrrrr....]]
** ComicBook/{{Flashpoint}} Plas is a hitman who specializes in OrificeInvasion and is very [[BerserkButton touchy]] on his status as AmbiguouslyHuman.
%%* TearJerker: Mixed with SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments is [[http://arousinggrammar.com/2013/12/29/batman-plastic-man-scare-children/ Plastic Man and Batman dealing with his son]].
