4	** There is also the song choice for when David and Maddie '''finally''' resolve their mountain of sexual tension: "Be My Baby" by [[Music/RonnieSpector The Ronettes]]. It's positively adorable and catchy and fits the DestructoNookie scene quite well.
5	* HarsherInHindsight: The fifth season opens with a musical number where the cast sing about how they hope to make 22 episodes this year, or at least 16. The season ended up having only 13 episodes before the show was cancelled.
6	* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: Plenty of moments, but special mention goes to David and Maddie's kiss under the mistletoe in the first Christmas episode and the way they smile at each other the very first time before they sleep together.
7	* HilariousInHindsight: Creator/BruceWillis playing David and Maddie's baby, after ''Film/LookWhosTalking''.
8	* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: The "We're looking for a man with a mole on his nose" scene with David, Maddie and a security guard in "The Murder's In The Mail."
9	* RetroactiveRecognition: The second episode of the first series begins with the entrance of a contract killer portrayed by Creator/TimRobbins.
10	** The sixth episode of the fourth season has the ABC executives trying to recast Addison, with a long lineup of actors with varying resemblances to Bruce Willis, including Jerry Doyle[[note]]Often considered a PoorMansSubstitute for Bruce Willis[[/note]], who would later play Security Chief Micheal Garibaldi on ''{{Series/Babylon 5}}''.
11	** There is an episode where Creator/GaryCole, of ''Film/OfficeSpace'' and ''WesternAnimation/HarveyBirdmanAttorneyAtLaw'' fame plays a husband.
12	** It's a brief scene, but in an episode in season 5, Creator/DemiMoore (in an uncredited role) plays a woman who catches Dave's attention.
13	* ShippingBedDeath: Dave and Maddie are often considered the TropeCodifier with their hooking up at the end of the third season, to the point where this is sometimes called "Moonlighting Syndrome", with popular opinion being that people stopped watching after Dave and Maddie finally consummated, since there was no longer any reason for people to tune in to see if they would. However, the show didn't really suffer from the leads getting together, it suffered from the leads not being in the same room for about a year afterward. There was no point at which they were together as a couple at all. Creator/BruceWillis was busy filming ''Film/DieHard'', and Creator/CybillShepherd was pregnant, which affected their schedules with the series.
14	* StuntCasting: Like most sitcoms, they had several guest stars appear each season. Notable ones are a very young Gary Cole, Whoopi Goldberg, Judd Nelson, and special mention that David has an ImagineSpot with Ray Charles himself.
15	* TearJerker: All other post-s3 wonkiness aside, if Maddie and Dave's reaction to [[spoiler:her miscarriage]] doesn't get you, nothing will.
