* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic:
** The music from the boss fight against the Carnotaurus in ''The Lost World'' (at least, the Arcade version).
** The music from the first game is pretty memorable. Really set the frantic mood of the game as you drive around trying to avoid the dinosaurs.
** The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMqjplQnFkU&list=PLb2gX2J7qrPFmMee0H-CyxQ96t745tCFg&index=15 "Continue"]] music in the 1994 game is particularly menacing.
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: The ''Lost World'' arcade game consists of half an hour of dino shooting action. At six minutes in, you must shoot a Mamenchisaurus' butt to keep it from pooping. No, really.
* FridgeBrilliance: In the fourth game, this Rex also [[Film/JurassicParkIII grabs the Spinosaurus's neck]]. But rather than futilely try to crush it, the Rex simply uses it as leverage to throw the Spinosaurus off the cliff. Basically - the game acknowledges the Spinosaurus's infamous SuperToughness, yet invokes TakeAThirdOption for the Rex to win anyway.
* FridgeHorror: So you rescue the baby ''T. rex'', mend its leg, then return it to the wild, but a few minutes later you shoot both of its parents. Apparently, you're shooting the dinos with tranquilizing darts, so they should be alright. The ''Deinosuchus'' that fell into the river after you shoot it, on the other hand...
* FridgeLogic: The fourth game very clearly ''says'' that all your weapons are nonlethal, but almost ''all'' of them very clearly ''aren't''. Special mention goes to the freeze gun, which [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin freezes dinosaurs solid]], and then their frozen bodies '''''shatter''''' after a few seconds!
* HilariousInHindsight: Area 3 of the first ''Jurassic Park'' arcade game has a volcano erupt at one point while the 2015 ''Jurassic Park Arcade'' game's premise is that the island is about to be destroyed by a volcanic eruption, so [=InGen=] is sending in teams to rescue the dinosaurs before the island is destroyed. In 2018, ''Film/JurassicWorldFallenKingdom'' has the exact same premise.
* {{Narm}}: The voice acting in ''The Lost World'' is ''very'' hard to take seriously. Not helped that the game also makes use of {{Stock Scream}}s all over the place.
* NightmareFuel:
** The 1994 arcade game is known for not only being fun, but also quite scary, and it's thanks to the spritework making some of the dinosaurs appear impressively menacing, with the ''T. rex'' taking the cake given how she appears at the start. While she's known for entering via a JumpScare, followed by the frantic, in your face chases, people have noted that the ''Velociraptors'' can be scary in their own right with how some just appear up close from the sides of the screen. Even the ''Brachiosaurs'' are found creepy by players from how they don't exactly look like how they do in the films with their pale appearance, their BlackBeadEyes, and their teeth on full display.
** The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMqjplQnFkU&list=PLb2gX2J7qrPFmMee0H-CyxQ96t745tCFg&index=15 "Continue"]] music in the 1994 game is particularly scary.
** The attract screen for ''The Lost World'' is infamous for scaring children in many arcades with the way the T-Rex intimidatingly approaches the screen between flashes of lightning and the game's {{Tagline}}.
* NightmareRetardant: Unlike every other boss in ''The Lost World'', it's hard to be intimidated by the Carnotaurus fought in stage 4 because of its large, goofy looking chameleon eyes, even with its ability to turn invisible.
* SugarWiki/NoProblemWithLicensedGames: All entries (except the third) are considered fun arcade shooters.
* ScrappyMechanic:
** The HostageSpiritLink mechanic in the 2015 game. While it does appear in the previous game, the "Help!" scream gives player indication of a civilian under attack by a dinosaur. However, in that game, there is no warning of a potential teammate in your line of sight and furthermore, since it's a Rail Shooter as opposed to Light Gun mode where you're spamming the shoot button all the time, you're undoubtedly gonna lose your life over constantly firing shots everywhere. And to add insult to injury, while saving a hostage from the previous game gives you rewards, you don't get anything from doing so here aside from a coupe of points and the attacked teammate will take out the dinosaur on it's own anyway, meaning that it's actually better to just leave them alone as opposed to helping them.
** The original version was somewhat similar to ''VideoGame/RailChase'' in that it would shake, tilt, and vibrate the seat to simulate being in a car. Unfortunately? Arcade workers ''hated'' this - because it was ''always'' breaking. And because [[ItsPopularSoItSucks it was a very popular game]] whenever people had it, it would be occupied for ''hours'' on end - and thus, it ends up breaking. This might be the reason why the ''The Lost World'' game ditched this motion seat design and use [[BoringButPractical simpler light-gun design]] instead.
* ThatOneLevel: The final level of the Spinosaurus segment from the 2015 game. Like the other end level segments, failing the required shots forcing you to start last leg of the level over. Unlike the Triceratops and T-Rex segments where you only have to shoot four targets in quick succession, you have to shoot six in roughly the same timeframe.
* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: The first arcade game's visuals are stunning to look at, even today. It helps that the graphics all consist of sprites, which are all nicely made. It also helps that the use of sprite scaling gives an impressive pseudo-3D effect, which allowed the game to stand out from other arcade games. Special mention must be made of the T-Rex, which due to its size, is made up of no less than six separate sprites all acting in concert to make the Rex work, one of the most impressive sprite creations of the day.
