Go To

* AssPull: Peter Paltridge wanted "[[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=15&pageType=index&seriesID=11 The New Adventures of the Nettropolis Narvel]]" to have the most unpredictable ending he could think of for a romance. He succeeded in that area, but the lack of foreshadowing might weaken its emotional appeal.
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: The part of "Deviantaaargh" when the ''NFP'' staff meets an avatar resembling [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=5&page=17 a stick figure version]] of JJ from ''Series/GoodTimes'' feels like this in context of the story. In context of the whole series, the stick figure [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=18&page=6 appears again]] in "WTF", [[spoiler:as one of Suē's flings.]]
* FridgeBrilliance: In "The New Adventures of the Nettropolis Narvel," why did Narvel have to [[spoiler: [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=15&page=18 kiss Vicky]] [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=15&page=23 twice]]]] before [[spoiler: they could escape the Sim Life]]? [[spoiler: Narvel and Vicky shared their first kiss while she only loved him for selfish reasons, but Narvel kissed Vicky a second time after she decided to put his needs before her wants, which apparently restored enough of her purity for her to become Girl Friday again.]]
* FridgeHorror: Shroomy [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=14&page=10 grabs ahold of Harmoxacil]] in "Shrooming With Shroomy" after Aerynn transports it from NJ's grandfather's apartment along with the VHS tapes. The implications of him resorting to drugs for curbing loneliness, and possibly becoming as crazy as Shroomy did, never get touched upon.
* HarsherInHindsight: In "[[http://platypuscomix.com/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=14&pageType=index&seriesID=11 Shrooming with Shroomy]]," Nina Wing deems all of her [=StreamVue=] streaming service's pre-2050 content a waste of space, then deletes it from the servers, requiring consumers to watch it through less convenient or legal means. Ten years later, Creator/WarnerBrosDiscovery CEO David Zslav would begin removing vintage and original programming from their own streaming service, [[Creator/{{Max}} HBO Max]], for the sake of tax write-downs. The owners of Creator/ParamountPlus and Creator/DisneyPlus later did the same.
* HeartwarmingInHindsight: "Shrooming with Shroomy" eventually has Nathaniel Wing [[http://platypuscomix.com/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=14&page=21&seriesID=11 license out]] the titles that Nina erased from [=StreamVue=], paralleling the fates of content deleted from their original streaming services, but still legally available through other outlets.
* HilariousInHindsight: "Into Thin Aerynn" has Aerynn become obsessed with ''Series/FreeSpirit1989'', then lament that she could only find [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=17&page=3 13 episodes]]. At the time Peter wrote this story, he had yet to confirm the existence of the MissingEpisode "Love and Death". After a recording of an Australian broadcast appeared online, a reader might wonder if Aerynn ever managed to conjure that up -- or the early pilot with a slightly different cast -- once she finished those 13 stories.
* {{Jerkass Woobie}}s: Suē and NJ in "[[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=18&pageType=index WTF]]". Their actions do seem hard to forgive, but a reader must wonder if their society punishes them ''too'' strongly. Trawn's TheReasonYouSuckSpeech suggests that she also believes this.
* NauseaFuel: The first three panels of [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=13&page=4 this page]] of "Valentine's Day Massacre". Peter based them on a comic one of his readers actually made and sent him.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: In "Into Thin Aerynn", NJ [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=17&page=8 challenges Aerynn]] to keep the staff under control for two hours, without magic. Instead of accepting, Aerynn [[AnvilOnHead drops a safe]] on NJ and declares him the "winner".
* TheWoobie:
** Shroomy has a tendency to [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=5&page=10 feel unloved by society]].
-->'''"Deviantaaargh" Description:''' Can't a girl dressed like a mushroom get any respect in this world?
** Aerynn also qualifies when she [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=1&page=17 talks about her past struggles]] to find someone who could accept her despite her powers. This could explain why she [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=6&page=23&seriesID=11 consoles Shroomy]] more willingly than the others in her times of feeling inferiority.[[note]]The scene in that second link came after Aerynn helped Shroomy realize Parker doesn't really love her.[[/note]]
** Lululu's [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=7&page=7 poverty and immobility]] would make her a JerkassWoobie if not for the fact she does not appear to have a heart of gold.
-->'''Lululu:''' I gotta have my job back!
-->'''Trawn:''' And if you find something ''else'' that distracts you, are you just going to disappear without any warning again?
-->'''Lululu:''' Probably. But if you don't feed me, who will?
-->''(Trawn makes [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=10&page=30 a remorseful expression]], then a {{facepalm}})''
-->'''Trawn:''' Good enough...welcome back.
** Trawn has her dreams of becoming a famous journalist shot down after her desire to share harsh truths clashes against corporate media's attitude.
** NJ also has some crushed hopes. These feel especially pitiful in the WholeEpisodeFlashback "The Time That People Forgot", when a vocational test's results (claiming he'll become a cartoonist someday) [[http://www.platypuscomix.net/electricwonderland/index.php?issue=11&page=8 leave him in doubt]] about his future.
