* {{Adorkable}}: Betty is definitely this, usually when she's around her friends or crush. She's also something of a geek for comic books and science-fiction. She's very adorable.
** Noah definitely counts as well.
* AssPull: The unexplained reasons for Paloma hiding her secret from Betty. It's highly unlikely their friendship would have been damaged given the common ground they share and that Betty could help her better, but the show doesn't really give a reason for Paloma to not tell Betty (she does try to give one, but she's abducted before it can be delivered).
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic:
** The first intro theme.
** Anything on the album, really.
* BrokenBase: ''Mission Earth'''s retool of the series formula to move the action to Earth and make the show a lot more comedic proved a divisive choice, as some fans liked the new direction and others hated it.
* CargoShip: Betty's mom with a chair in "Love Bites".
* CultClassic: ''Atomic Betty'' never developed a big fandom during its time thanks to being ScrewedByTheNetwork in America (among other reasons), but it certainly gained enough of a following to become one of Creator/{{Teletoon}}'s most iconic original series and even give rise to considerations for a revival in the 2010s.
* {{Fanon}}: Though Betty's parents were never named on the show, the fandom has named them Quincy and Tanya.
* FanonDiscontinuity: When the ''Mission Earth'' episodes came on the air, some of the fans had this reaction to the season.
* HilariousInHindsight: [[WesternAnimation/TUFFPuppy This wouldn't be the last cartoon]] with a villian named The Chameleon.
** One of the episodes is titled ''WesternAnimation/BeeMovie''.
** [[WesternAnimation/JaneAndTheDragon This wouldn't be the last Canadian cartoon]] where ''Creator/TajjaIsen'' voiced a red-headed heroine.
* HoYay:
** Sparky and X-5's relationship often veers into this territory. One episode had Sparky dress like a blonde cheerleader, and he dragged an unwilling X-5 and introduced him as a boyfriend. Another episode had this exchange:
--> '''Sparky (talking about Betty rescuing Noah):''' "'He's not her boyfriend.' Yeah, right!" ''(turns to X-5)'' "Would you kick that much booty if that were me dangling up there?"
--> '''X-5:''' Not particularly.
** Minimus and Maximus sometimes engage in a one-sided version of this. Hell, Minimus even once called Maximus his Valentine!
* JerkassWoobie:
** Penelope in "The Market". Her cat died and she only abducted that {{Jerkass}} raccoon to fill the void.
** Maximus seems to be this as well when it comes to how he was raised by his [[AbusiveParents father]].
* {{Moe}}:
** Betty herself is very adorable. She looks absolutely darling in her civilian outfit, and those moments where she's in love or blushing around Chaz or Dylan are just so cute.
** Noah can be quite adorable as well, given his shy personality, crush on Betty, and [[TheWoobie frequent misfortunes]].
* NightmareFuel: Maximus I.Q. when he temporarily becomes his OneWingedAngel form in "Amulet of Shangri-La-De-Da"
* RetroactiveRecognition: Betty's voice actress Creator/TajjaIsen is [[WesternAnimation/SuperWhy Princess Pea]] and [[WesternAnimation/MyBigBigFriend Nessa]].
* TheScrappy: A lot of people dislike (and even flat-out despise) Penelope for a good reason. Her attitude half the time and especially on season three is the reason many nearly stopped watching ''Atomic Betty''.
* SeasonalRot: As mentioned a couple times already, some fans feel this way about the third season ''Mission Earth'' due to its increased focus on comedy (exemplified by the inclusion of short silly skits at the end of many episodes), doing away with Paloma after her key role in Season 2, Betty [[TookALevelInJerkass taking a slight level in jerkass]], and the change to Earth-centered adventures seeming to come out of nowhere for some.
* {{Squick}}:
** Betty's dad attempting to do goodness knows what with Purrsy while under the effects of a love spell, as well the suggestive stuff he says while chasing him. One word: [[BrainBleach EW!]]
** In the same episode, we have Maximus trying to make Betty, ''a 12-year-old girl'', fall in love with him. Even Minimus thinks its creepy. And frankly, it's not much better when Betty ends up falling in Minimus instead and expressing the desire to marry him.
** "Beach Blanket Betty" has a scene where Sparky pulls a banana out of his shorts and eats it.
** "Who's The Baby Now?" has the baby-turned characters defeat Infantor by throwing their dirty diapers at him.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Some of the fan reaction to ''Mission Earth'' was based in this.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter:
** Paloma. Despite having a major role throughout Season 2 and being subject to a major reveal at the end of the season, she was PutOnABus at the beginning of Season 3 when she could have stayed on the show and served as an auxiliary ally for Betty on the Galactic Guardians as well as continuing to be her friend in her civilian life.
** Noah. He's easily the most likeable character in Betty's ordinary life, and his crush on her is quite endearing. Despite finding out Betty's secret in Season 3, he's sidelined for most of the plot.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot:
** They never really did much with the fact that Betty, her mom and Beatrixo all have alien DNA due to Beatrixo's father being an alien. Only Beatrixo's sister Auntie Matter displays alien powers.
** The same can be said for the whole Paloma plot and the reason why she never informs Betty.
** Noah found out Betty's secret and joined the Galactic Guardians, but the show never really did much with him in that role except the same old jokes he was already the butt of.
** In a similar vein, Noah’s unrequited crush on Betty is only used to further show his ButtMonkey status, despite the two having a lot more chemistry than her other love interests.
* ToyShip: With all the ShipTease between Betty and various boys, especially Noah, there was bound to be a lot of them.
* TheWoobie: Noah. Even though he's a really sweet and shy kid, he gets put through constant misfortune and abuse from the world and the other characters. Even after he becomes a Galactic Guardian, it seems that not even his friends still take him that seriously.
* UnintentionallySympathetic: Penelope, of all characters, gets this in "The Market" Yes, taking a raccoon from the wild and keeping it as a pet is wrong (and she learns this lesson the hard way when it destroys her things and attacks her) but at the same time, she had just lost her cat and was grief-stricken. It's hard to blame her for wanting another animal to fill that void.
