* BrokenBase: Pretty much every new version so far has lead to this, especially between v2.5 and vBorderline, as disagreements over v2.5 were the main reason for vBorderline's creation in the first place. Also happened again with the release of v3. Gladly, on most occasions the discussion has stayed civil.
* MemeticMutation: Along with the standard Evangelion memes, the game has a few of its own.
** SOL BREACH! An infamous game where one of the pilots devised a... clever way of taking out an Angel, using the Dirac Breach power to create a wormhole between over the Angel and the surface of the sun. Even though a breach is only about as wide as an Eva's arm, physics will tell you that this is enough energy to destroy an entire city. Which it did. Now a go-to term for any campaign-ending action.
** POSITRON FISTS! one of the (now-bagged) Rewrite classes, the Champion, at higher levels could give their fists the Positron keyword. At P-Scale.
** Tumbling Down reference the lyrics of the song that plays during Third Impact in End of Evangelion. Usually describe the moment a game start going to hell, usually via PC insanity and/or endgame MindScrew and GainaxEnding.
** The Sydney-14 Campaign, one of the few known IRL games of Adeptus Evangelion to be run, has some infamy. The players went out of their way to make their pilots the biggest sociopaths humanly possible, most famously one player taking the drawback Compulsion- Remove People's Eyes. Between holding Earth hostage, turning the Geofront into the equivalent of North Korea, and attacking every Angel unprovoked (said Angels at one point were willing to surrender and leave Earth. The debates lead to an Angel committing suicide out of frustration), it's also possibly the only example of an evil campaign of [=AdEva=]. It got some reference in the [REDACTED] supplement.
* NightmareFuel: There's a good reason why pilots have a record of the Insanity Points they've accumulated. Some Angels are able to attack pilots' minds or even their souls directly, over-synchronizing with an Eva slowly whittles away your ego and eventually causes you to physically dissolve, and you can feel all the damage your Evangelion takes.
