2	* CoveredUp: Their cover of "Bring the Pain." Back when ''Tight'' was out-of-print and obscenely rare, it was the only song off the album the whole fanbase knew by heart.
3	* CrossesTheLineTwice: Their lyrics are filled with brutality, sexuality, obscenity, and especially in their earlier works, [[NWordPrivileges slurs]]. The songs describe taboo topics, turn everything up to eleven and exceed all kinds of tolerable limits. "Panty Shot," "Faggot" and "Backmaskwarning" are popular examples for this. However, they've made it perfectly clear that it is ''not'' just offensive for the sake of being offensive, the shock value is deliberately too over-the-top to be genuinely offensive and and they punch up more often than kick down (check out [[http://thank-you-for-the-idea.tumblr.com/post/90323614886 Jimmy's literal soapbox rant]] about how LGBTQ+ or neurologically impared actors are [[AwardSnub snubbed]] for awards given to cishetero/neurotypical actors playing them in movies and TV). The booklet of ''Frankenstein Girls'' is practically their manifesto.

If you don't have a sense of irony, or you are a piece of shit bigot, or a fundamentalist anything, return this album immediately, don't come to our shows, don't wear our t-shirts. Fuck off. If you're a parent who neglects, beats, or doesn't show their child love, know that '''we''' don't condone violence so don't waste our time in court while you try to explain to the jury how our music made our "happy & normal child" into a deranged lunatic.

6	** Vulgarity was the name of the game for their earlier shows. Jimmy was known for waving his privates about and once tried to set them on fire. There is footage of him bringing a crowd member on stage before making out with and then teabagging him. Stuffed animals would get thrown on stage, and Steve and Jimmy would pretend to fuck them. One specific case (don't keep reading if you ever want to eat again), [[spoiler: Jimmy drank his own urine before passing it to Steve, who took one sip and spat a second into the crowd. Jimmy then began making out with audience members.]]
7	* GrowingTheBeard: In terms of commercial success, definitely. In terms of critical success, that's a topic of debate right there.
8	* HarsherInHindsight: MSI's more... '''prurient''' material/antics have become this in light of Jimmy's sexual battery allegations. The cover art for ''Tight'' [[note]]Depicting a closeup of a girl's undergarments[[/note]] and the track "Panty Shot" [[note]]Written from the perspective of a pedophile[[/note]] are particularly cringe-inducing now.
9	* HilariousInHindsight: "Bullshit" features the line "it's no accident, you all pay my rent..." With the advent of Patreon, an artist can pretty much have their audience do just that.
