!!Prehibernation Week:
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Pantera's "Prehibernation", an edited instrumental version of their single "Death Rattle", goes perfectly with Sandy's extreme stunts.
* HarsherInHindsight: Sandy urgently wants to find [=SpongeBob=] out of concern for his safety. It turns out that [=SpongeBob=] going missing is more serious, as [[Recap/SpongeBobSquarePantsS5E18WhateverHappenedToSpongeBob a later episode]] and [[WesternAnimation/TheSpongeBobMovieSpongeOutOfWater two]] [[WesternAnimation/TheSpongeBobMovieSpongeOnTheRun movies]] have shown. Without [=SpongeBob=] to make Krabby Patties, things go downhill fast. That said, when Sandy bursts in to the Krusty Krab and reports that the yellow sponge is missing, the customers are eating Krabby Patties.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** Sandy tells [=SpongeBob=] that sea creatures don't hibernate: only mammals. After a huge {{Retcon}}, because squirrels don't hibernate either, Sandy stops hibernating after the second season.
** "Look, he's up in the sky!" Well, he wasn't, but [[Recap/SpongeBobSquarePantsS3E19TheSpongeWhoCouldFly many episodes later]], [=SpongeBob=] ''does'' learn to fly. To make this even funnier, "Prehibernation Week" was featured on the DVD which "The Sponge Who Could Fly" premiered.
* MemeticMutation:
** "Uh, I can explain."[[labelnote:Explanation]]The gag where Sandy accidentally reveals another character's obsession with dressing up as a little boy became a popular exploitable for similar guilty pleasure and NotWhatItLooksLike situations.[[/labelnote]]
** Squidward Fad[[labelnote:Explanation]]An [[https://youtu.be/yq3KaCVrQjQ?si=zYQxWo2QvI20-s_e edit]] of Squidward's happy face set to "[[https://youtu.be/0Cw9tttuwwg?si=bBWmwDFSHG9jiYpd Gentle Breeze]]" from ''[[VideoGame/TraumaCenterAtlus Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2]]'' ended up spawning multiple other edits of its ilk, some from ''[=SpongeBob=]'' and some from other media entirely.[[/labelnote]]
** "Gold Team Rules!"[[labelnote:Explanation]]A quote from a bodybuilder fish in response to Sandy's plans for a search party to find [=SpongeBob=], which became popular to parrot in reference to both the show and other team-based situations.[[/labelnote]]
** "This is a load of barnacles..."[[labelnote:Explanation]]A line that one character quietly says to another in response to Sandy's aggressive plan for finding [=SpongeBob=]. The quote became a popular reaction image, sometimes paired with Sandy's response of "I heard that!" and turned into an exploitable.[[/labelnote]]
** "I'm ready, I'm ready." "No, you ain't!"[[labelnote:Explanation]]While trying to back out of Sandy's aggressive push to find [=SpongeBob=], one fish gets squeezed into the shape of [=SpongeBob=] and badly imitates him in an unsuccessful attempt to make her think he's the little yellow guy. The bit quickly became popular to both quote and parody among fans.[[/labelnote]]
** "WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?!"[[labelnote:Explanation]]Patrick's reaction to finding the residents of Bikini Bottom hiding under his house, which became a popular reaction image.[[/labelnote]]
* SugarWiki/SheReallyCanAct: Carolyn Lawrence screaming for [=SpongeBob=] in the climax is genuinely unnerving, not only because Sandy is going insane, but because you can tell that she's running out of time to find her friend and for all she knows, he's in terrible danger. It hits even closer to home when you've lost someone important to you.
* {{Woolseyism}}: In the Latin American Spanish dub, [=SpongeBob=] [[FinishingEachOthersSentences finishes the kids' song]] about the sandman by saying, "It was full of life, and life's ''extreme''!"

!!Life of Crime:
* HilariousInHindsight: [=SpongeBob=] points out that one of the things Mr. Krabs stole was Mrs. Puff's hair curlers. [[Recap/SpongeBobSquarePantsS3E4NastyPattyIdiotBox A later episode]] has [=SpongeBob=] tell a police officer that Mr. Krabs, "wears curlers to bed."
* MemeticMutation:
** "You took my only food! Now, I'm gonna starve!"[[labelnote:Explanation]]A photoset depicting this quote and its juxtaposition with Patrick's ''very'' full stomach became a popular exploitable used to mock fanbases seen as greedy and/or ungrateful.[[/labelnote]]
** [=SpongeBob=] eating a candy bar.[[labelnote:Explanation]]While taunting Patrick over his misconception that [=SpongeBob=] stole his candy bar, [=SpongeBob=] proceeds to eat his own in a prolonged, elaborate manner, which became a popular subject for edits that further draw out or exaggerate the scene.[[/labelnote]]
** "But... But, we ''stole'' a balloon." "Yeah, on Free Balloon Day!"[[labelnote:Explanation]]A photoset of the scene where two police officers pretend to incarcerate [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick, then immediately let them out and taunt them about their belief that they committed a crime, became a popular exploitable, modifying the dialogue to reflect similar actions that the perpetrator sees as far more extreme than they actually are.[[/labelnote]]
