* AngstWhatAngst: Most of the time, people are pretty calm about the fact that they're all trapped down in the canyon, most likely forever.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic:
** The theme song is kind of a bop, perfectly capturing that Western feel and having an excellently executed complex rhyming scheme.
** Creator/BrynMcAuley is the voice of Roxy, so of [[TheCastShowoff course they give her a musical number]], which exemplified Bryn's beautiful voice, lilting abilities, and broad range, as it genre-shifted between all different kinds of music.
* CrossesTheLineTwice: "I wish we could go back before women were allowed to play golf, but not so far back [[TokenBlackFriend I]] wasn't allowed to play. That sweet middle spot."
* DesignatedHero: Sheila is a selfish, stupid, abusive, racist woman who is often portrayed in heroic roles and is also intended to play the straight man to Norm.
* EnsembleDarkHorse: Bobby Joe from "Less Than 127 Hours" has become kind of a fan favorite, due to his hilariously tragic life.
* GrowingTheBeard: Season 2 focused more on developing the characters and adding more depth, which gives them a lot more to work with.
* HarsherInHindsight: The episode "Less Than 127 Hours" ending on [[TheFunInFuneral a hilariously tragic funeral]] and a memorial for Bobby Joe becomes this when you see that it was the last episode of the series before its cancellation.
* HollywoodHomely: And Pristine is hideous how...? It doesn't help that her name is ''Pristine'' which completely subverts MeaningfulName.
* JerksAreWorseThanVillains: Roxy garners more hatred among the fanbase for bullying and putting other girls down, than murderers like Earl.
* TheyCopiedItSoItSucks: Is usually seen as little more than a clone of ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'' by its critics, which certainly isn't helped by how freakishly similar the show's artstyle is to that of Seth [=MacFarlane=]'s (which only worsens things for most, given the controversial nature of the ''Family Guy'' artstyle) and the show's frequent usage of {{Cutaway Gag}}s.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids: The show somehow aired in a children timeslot in France. The channel got flak for this, and the superior authority acknowledged the show isn't suited for children under 10.
