Doodlez is an award-winning Canadian black-and-white animated series of shorts from Cellar Door Productions and created by Gretha Rose and Sean Scott for Creator/Teletoon, which aired the series in 2002 as interstitials during commercial breaks and between bigger shows.

The show is about the adventures of a little boy named Dood, who's a doodle, and his creator, Hand. Each two-minute short revolves around Dood's various misadventures - from getting a headache to flying on an airplane to dealing with his EvilTwin, all of which are created by Hand.

A total of 50 shorts were produced, with the final ones airing on January 23, 2004. Outside of Teletoon in Canada, these shorts also appeared on Creator/Nicktoons in the United States and on Creator/BBC Kids as one of the latter channel's final programs.

!!This show provides examples of:

* AgelessBirthdayEpisode: In Holidayz, the episode revolves around Dood celebrating his birthday, despite never having a clear age. Then done briefly in the halloween special Grave Matters where the zombies (plus Doodette in a zombie costume) were actually celebrating Dood's birthday.
* Angrish: Dood in Black Hat when the magician takes his wand.
* AnvilOnHead: In Dood.com, Hand repeatedly drops a safe on Dood's head.
* BigBallOfViolence: When Dood's clones gang up on him in Dood.com.
* BigLittleMan: The villain in [=Dood McLood=] appears huge until the camera pulls back to reveal he's shorter than Dood. Then inverted, as it's revealed that he really is huge but was standing a long way away.
%%* CanadianWestern: [=Dood McLood=].
* CupidsArrow: Cupid appears at the beginning and end of Dood on a Date with the end having Cupid shooting an arrow at the heart Dood's and his potential love interest's creators formed, causing an explosion of hearts to come out and forming "FIN".
* ChainedToARailway: The DamselInDistress in [=Dood McLood=].
* TheChewToy: Dood's entire schtick is being this for Hand.
%%* DistaffCounterpart: Doodette.
* EvilTwin:
** Dood gets one in the pilot episode.
** In Dood.com, Dood gets another one -- and then several more, all of which gang up on him.
* EyeScream: Amusing gags involving Dood's eyeballs happen and are PlayedForLaughs. One highlight involves a toy robot with claw hands just grabbing his eyeballs and pulling them out.
* GentleGiant: Dood's new mom in Dood Sitting. It's clear she adores her new son.
* HalloweenSpecial: Grave Matters is loosely a Halloween special, then being made clear in the unreleased short Gag Me, where it's about Dood going trick or treating.
%%* HereWeGoAgain: At the end of Dood Sitting.
* MagicWand: In Black Hat, Dood gets one to go with the magic hat. It never does what he wants it to.
* MediumAwareness: In Dood.com, Dood is being drawn on a computer paint program. When Hand starts abusing one of the drawing tools to mess with Dood, Dood physically takes hold of the toolbar, pulls it off the inside of the screen, and breaks it into little pieces.
* MirrorRoutine: Dood and his clone after Hand uses the clone tool in Dood.com.
* OncePerEpisode: The word "fin" (French for "The End") shows up somewhere at the end of each episode.
* OverlyLongScream: The DamselInDistress in [=Dood McLood=] has to keep one going as Dood has some trouble getting the riding-to-the-rescue business going. By the time he arrives, she's run out of breath and fallen into an exhausted slumber.
* PullARabbitOutOfMyHat: Dood's unsuccessful attempts to do this make up most of Black Hat. In the end, he inadvertantly turns himself into a rabbit, which then pulls Dood out of the hat.
* RuleOfFunny: strike:Some strike:most EVERY single gag in the series runs under this trope.
* ShoutOut:
** The episode Dood.com featured Dood being tormented by Hand in a Paint program, a la "WesternAnimation/DuckAmuck".
** In Black Hat, Dood's first attempt to pull a rabbit out of the hat produces instead an angry moose.
** [=Dood McLood=] is basically one big shout-out to WesternAnimation/DudleyDoRight.
%%* SmokeOut: The magician's departure at the end of Black Hat.
%%* StageMagician: One shows up at the end of Black Hat to claim the hat and wand.
%%* TravelMontage: In [=Dood McLood=].
* TheVoiceless: Every single character, although they do things like laugh, sneeze and go "Huh?"
* ValentinesDayEpisode: Dood on a date is clearly a Valentines day special, being about Dood going on a date with Doodette.
