"Stoogeposting" is the name of a series of video shorts created by Youtuber WebVideo/SolidJJ where he does impressions of ''Film/TheThreeStooges'', done using still images of the original characters captioned with Impact font, similar to an ImageMacro. The first video, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvpiSF6nOnU The Three Stooges meet "Candice"]], was uploaded in May of 2021. As of November 2022, the series consists of 17 videos in total.

The Stoogeposting series originally started out as an adaptation of modern internet memes like "WebVideo/DeezNuts" and ''Memes/AmongUs'', but has since grown into covering original jokes, incorporating puns and slapstick similar to the original series. It also has branched out into [[SelfReferentialHumor meta-jokes]] and crossovers with films like ''Film/DoctorStrangeInTheMultiverseOfMadness''.

!!So you're a tropes guy, eh?

* AccentUponTheWrongSyllable: In "The Three Stooges challenge God," Curly pronounces "Catholic" as Ca-''thol''-ic (rhymes with "alcoholic").
* ActorAllusion: Larry is explicitly described as Jewish, just like the real Larry Fine. However, all the Howard brothers were ethnically and religiously Jewish too in real life.
* AdaptationalAttractiveness: Invoked in "The Three Stooges go Hollywood," where both Larry and Curly wish Marlon Brando would play them in a movie.
* AmbiguousSyntax:
** In "The Four Stooges":
--->'''Larry:''' Did you count yourself?\
'''Moe:''' 'Course I did, you see me askin' someone else to do it for me?
** In "The Three Stooges challenge God":
--->'''Larry:''' How should I know, I'm Jewish!\
'''Moe:''' What do you mean, they teach you them Ten Commandments too!\
'''Larry:''' No, I said I'm Jew-''ish''!
** In "The Three Stooges Get Drafted":
--->'''Drill Sergeant:''' There'll be no theatrics in this camp, do you hear me?\
'''Larry:''' Mostly in my left ear, my right ear's a bit clogged.
* ArtShiftedSequel: "Another Three Stooges Thanksgiving" replaces the stock photos with animation, drawn in the style of the 1950s cartoon ''[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_New_3_Stooges The New 3 Stooges]]''.
* AstonishinglyAppropriateInterruption: In "Another Three Stooges Thanksgiving," Moe says "Honestly, I'm just so excited for this year's Thanksgiving I feel like I might just ex-" before getting cut off by the house exploding.
* BigEater: In "The Three Stooges run for office," Curly remarks, "If I gotta bring my own food, I don't wanna be a part of it!"
* ArtisticLicenseHistory: Invoked by Curly, who claims he fought 15 years in [[UsefulNotes/WorldWarI the Great War]].
* Catch22Dilemma: In "The Three Stooges pass the buck," Moe can't pay the water bill because Curly didn't pay the telephone bill, Curly couldn't because Larry didn't pay the electric bill, and Larry couldn't because Moe didn't pay the water bill. Moe questions why Larry needs water to pay the electric bill, and he replies:
-->"So you expect me to go all the way to the bank parched?"
* ChainOfDeals: The plot of "The Three Stooges: The Art of the Trade." Curly gets into one involving a car, gasoline, a bicycle, and a candy bar.
* CountingToPotato: In "The Four Stooges," Shemp shows up and they each try to count how many of them there are, though they each forget to count themselves.
* DeliberatelyMonochrome: According to Doctor Strange, the Stooges' entire universe is naturally black-and-white.
* DumbassHasAPoint: Curly says he only signed up for the city council race because there were free pens by the signup form, and "What good is a pen if you're not gonna use it?"
* DrunkWithPower: In "The Three Stooges run for office," Curly claims that he was class President, but after two weeks, it turned into "[[{{Malaproper}} marshal law]]."
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: The first two videos were based on adapting modern memes to a Three Stooges format, with somewhat more surrealistic humor and profanity. It's not until "The Four Stooges" that the videos focus solely on original gags in the same format as the Stooges.
* FeigningIntelligence: In "The Three Stooges challenge God," Curly says he's been going to church, so Moe calls his bluff and asks him to name the Ten Commandments. Curly's answer is total bullshit, but Moe FailedASpotCheck and doesn't actually know whether it's right.
* FunWithSubtitles: When characters get interrupted mid-sentence, the caption show the rest of what they intended to say.
* HypocriticalHumor: Moe blames Shemp for not buying cards from the corner store in "the Three Stooges don't have Uno," despite knowing that the corner store doesn't carry them.
* IgnoredExpert: Larry says he devised a way to produce electricity without fossil fuels in "The Three Geniuses," but Moe brushes him off. It's never shown whether his idea had any substance.
* ImpliedDeathThreat: In "The Three Stooges go Hollywood":
-->'''Larry:''' What kind of movie would it be, anyway?\
'''Moe:''' Well with hair like yours, it'd be a horror movie.\
'''Larry:''' Oh yeah? Well with a face like yours, it'd be a comedy!\
'''Moe:''' Huh?! Well with words like that, it'd be a murder mystery!
* ItsAllAboutMe: In "The Three Stooges run for office," Moe's upset about Curly for flubbing his interview for this reason:
-->"You coulda been somebody, meaning ''I'' coulda been somebody!"
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: The entirety of "The Three Stooges break the 4th wall" is about indirectly questioning the video's length and visual style.
* JustTestingYou: In "Doctor Strange Multiverse of Stooges," Moe says that him questioning Larry's incredibly specific guess of Doctor Strange's intentions was just a test to see if he knew it too.
* LiteralMinded:
** In "The Three Stooges don't have Uno":
--->'''Shemp:''' Well, the day I went, no dice!\
'''Larry:''' Dice? I thought we needed cards.
** In "The Three Stooges run for office":
--->'''Reporter:''' What's your strategy going into the political race?\
'''Curly:''' Well I might've put on a few pounds over the past few years, but looking at the competition, at their age, ain't much of a challenge!\
'''Moe:''' Shut up, big nose! What my friend meant to say was he respects the competition, and even at their old age, they're probably fantastic athletes.\
'''Reporter:''' Well, uh, it ain't that- ...never mind.
** Later in the same episode:
--->'''Reporter:''' If elected to city council, what do you hope to bring to the table?\
'''Curly:''' Huh? Nobody told me if this was a potluck! If I get elected, I'll budget for more snacks, I'll tell you that much!
* {{Malaproper}}: All three brothers do this, but Curly is the most obvious:
** Although he pronounces it correctly, the subtitles in "The Three Stooges run for office" reveals that he says "martial law" as "marshal law."
** In "The Three Stooges go Job Hunting," Curly is asked if he has experience sanitizing and replies "I'm always sanitizing about the pretty girls."
** In "Doctor Strange Multiverse of Stooges":
--->'''Wong:''' Wait, you're multiversal, too?\
'''Curly:''' No, we're only versed in English, but we're [[ImmediateSelfContradiction the bestest at it]]!"
* MobDebt: In "The Three Stooges Steal from the Mob," Moe, Larry, and Curly are confronted by a mobster whose briefcase full of money they unwittingly stole. He demands the money back, and the Stooges explain they were merely "borrowing" the money inside... by buying themselves clothes and a new car.
* MondegreenGag: The crux of "The Three Geniuses" is that Larry misread a sign saying "Eviction Notice" as "Invention Notice" and thought it was an advertisement for inventors. Curly also says this regarding his idea to mash up all food to prevent choking:
-->'''Larry:''' Couldn't you just, uh, chew?\
'''Curly:''' Gesundheit!
* NotWhatItLooksLike: In "The Three Stooges Steal from the Mob," the Stooges explain to the mobster that when they took a mobster's briefcase full of money, they weren't ''stealing'' it, but simply ''borrowing'' it for safekeeping. However, their definition of safekeeping involves spending it all with no refunds.
* PieInTheFace:
** "[[ThanksgivingEpisode A Three Stooges Thanksgiving]]" quickly devolves into one of these.
** "Another Three Stooges Thanksgiving" has Moe do this to the other two, this time with the stuffing Larry made. Larry concludes that it could have used more onion, an opinion Curly echoes when Moe throws the spare bowl of stuffing at his face at the end.
* RepeatAfterMe:
** In "The Three Stooges Steal from the Mob," Curly takes the mobster's comment of "Say that again" at face value and says "That again."
** Subverted in "The Three Stooges get Drafted":
--->'''Drill Sergeant:''' From now on, in my presence, you will only repeat after me. Let's practice, shall we? (''singing cadence'') I don't know what I've been told!\
'''Stooges:''' (''singing off-key'') You told us to only repeat after you!
* ShoutOut:
** The first two episodes are based on the memes "Deez nuts" and "When the imposter is sus" (from the game ''VideoGame/AmongUs'').
** Some of the stock background music is prominently featured in other shows, like ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants'' and ''Series/ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia'',
** The job interviewer in "The Three Stooges go Job Hunting" uses photos of Creator/CaryGrant.
** Curly says the Second Commandment is "the right to bear arms," as taught by [[Creator/CharltonHeston Moses]].
** The title of "The Three Stooges: The Art of the Trade" is a reference to UsefulNotes/DonaldTrump's 1987 memoir ''The Art of the Deal''.
** "The Three Stooges Don't Have Uno" is one big reference to the viral video "[[https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/you-have-uno YOU HAVE UNO]]."
** In "Doctor Strange Multiverse of Stooges," Strange says they came from a universe with [[Film/TropicThunder Tony Stark in blackface]].
* SpecialEffectFailure: Invoked in "The Three Stooges break the 4th wall." Larry points out that an EyePoke didn't have the right sound effect and accuses [[WebVideo/SolidJJ the creator]] of getting lazy.
* StolenCreditBackfire: In "The Three Stooges go Job Hunting," they each try to throw each other under the bus and present themselves as the best candidate for a job opening... only to find out it's cleaning septic tanks.
* ThreeStoogesShoutOut: The entire premise of the series.
* WhatsAHenway: Played with in "The Three Stooges Meet Candice." Curly plays it straight ("Candice nuts fit in your face"), but instead of responding with "WebVideo/DeezNuts," Moe uses "Deez" to lead into "Deez fingers in your eyes!" and delivers an EyePoke.
* WhosOnFirst:
** In "A STOOGE AMONG US," the three get into a debate over who's "me," "you," and "him." After Moe bonks Curly and Larry's heads together, Curly figures it out:
--->"Ooh, now I get it! I'm me, you's you, and ''he'''s a big jerk!"
** In "The Three Stooges break the 4th wall," Moe says "It is what it is," prompting a round of confusing questions from Curly on what exactly "what" and "it" are.
** ZigZagged in "Doctor Strange Multiverse of Stooges." A joke about Dr. Strange's name being strange is largely averted, but then there's a whole tangent about Wong's name and which (Scarlet) Witch is which.
** In "Another Three Stooges Thanksgiving," Larry keeps hearing Moe's order to "get stuffing" (put the stuffing in the turkey) and keeps replying that he already got the stuffing and is holding it now.
