!!This series contains the following tropes:

* AdvertisedExtra: Despite being prominently featured in the show's intro, Yellow Bird had minimal focus in the series. This was likely due to his one-note personality.
* AmnesiaEpisode: "Amnesiac Pig".
* AndTheAdventureContinues: ''The Studder Show'' and the XF Films serve as follow-ups to this series.
* AnnoyingYoungerSibling: Blue Bird is treated as one of these.
* BigBadEnsemble: King Pig was the central antagonist of the original series, but this trope came into play when Grover, who primarily operates independently from King Pig, was introduced later on.
* BigDamnMovie: The ''Angry Birds Craptastic Movie'', which sees Sharkbutt turning against the birds and uniting a large army to take them down once and for all.
* BigEater: Giant Red Bird, if "[[WeightLossHorror Giant Red Bird Loses Weight]]" is any indication.
* BilingualBonus: Chef Cochon's name translates to "Chef Pig" in French.
* BirthdayEpisode: "King Pig's Birthday".
* BorrowedCatchphrase: At the end of "What Happens At Night?", Red Bird uses Green Bird's catchphrase after punishing the latter for his actions by shutting a window onto his beak.
-->'''Red Bird:''' Stupid d*ck.\
'''Green Bird:''' [[HeyThatsMyLine That's my line]].
* BreakoutVillain: Grover makes a brief appearance in "The Final Chapter" as one of King Pig's soldiers, but he would later become the main antagonist of the series.
* ButtMonkey: Nearly every character in the show counts, but Red Bird certainly takes the cake.
* TheCameo:
** Paz the Penguin from TLC's ''Ready, Set, Learn!'' block appears in the series as a recurring character.
** [[WesternAnimation/{{SpongeBobSquarePants}} SpongeBob]] appears in "King Pig's Birthday" as a "frozen sponge cake".
** [[VideoGame/{{Slender}} Slenderman]] appears in "Studder's Game Show" and his namesake episode.
** Om Nom from ''VideoGame/CutTheRope'' also appears in a few episodes.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn:
** Studder started out as an immature and incompetent character who would frequently break down into tears after the slightest insult. Later episodes portray Studder as a more serious and collected character.
** Originally, Yellow Bird's only defining characteristic was his love for Japanese food. In ''The Studder Show'' and the XF Films, Yellow Bird becomes an OnlySaneMan alongside Red Bird.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: "The Final Chapter" sees the introduction of [[spoiler:[=the Birds' Hatchlings=]]]. They only appear in 2 episodes of ''The Studder Show'' and are completely absent in the XF Films.
* CommutingOnABus: Ice Bird only made sporadic appearances after the ''Birds in Space'' miniseries, [[BackForTheFinale although he did return in "The Final Chapter"]].
* CoolHelmet: Studder used to wear a construction worker's helmet in all of his appearances. However, [[RealLifeWritesThePlot the helmet broke when Studder fell out of a tree in "The Final Chapter", and it was never replaced]].
* CousinOliver: Orange Bird.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Sharkbutt in "Sharkbutt's Girlfriend", Blue Bird in "The Scary Story" and Ice Bird in "Ice Bird's Nightmare".
* EarlyBirdCameo: Studder appears during a flashback sequence in "Babysitter", although he wouldn't be officially introduced until the next episode, "New Assistant".
* FaceHeelTurn: Sharkbutt underwent this in [[BigDamnMovie the movie]] after the Birds were mean to him. However, he went back to his old ways in "The Final Chapter".
* FatIdiot: Giant Red Bird.
* FunnyBackgroundEvent: In "King Pig's New Chef", Sharkbutt and Paz can be seen doing "it" in the background at one point.
* FluffyTheTerrible:
** The main antagonist of "The Final Chapter" is a [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Goomba]].
** And if that wasn't enough, the main antagonist of ''The Studder Show'' and the XF Films is [[Series/SesameStreet Grover]].
* GrandFinale: "The Final Chapter".
* GRatedDrug: In "King Pig's Day Off", Sprite is depicted as an alcoholic drink.
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:King Pig forms a truce with the birds in "The Final Chapter"]]. However, [[SnapBack he's back to his old ways]] from ''The Studder Show'' onwards.
* HolidayEpisode: The series has several of these under its belt, including two Christmas specials and a Halloween special.
* IconicSequelCharacter:
** Grover wasn't introduced until "The Final Chapter", but he quickly became one of the series' most popular characters.
** Crocbutt and Bearbutt weren't introduced until the XF Films, but they're both quite popular among fans as well.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Green Bird.
* LastEpisodeNewCharacter: Goomba's only appearance is in "The Final Chapter", where he serves as the main antagonist.
* {{Leitmotif}}: Chef Cochon is associated with French accordion music, which often plays in scenes where he is shown cooking something.
* LethalChef: Many of Chef Cochon's dishes turn into literal crap, especially in the XF Films.
* OnlySaneMan: Red Bird frequently ends up as the victim of this, [[CharacterizationMarchesOn along with Yellow Bird in later years]].
* OrWasItADream: In "Ice Bird's Nightmare", [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Ice Bird has a nightmare]] where he's killed and turned into a milkshake by Chef Cochon. After waking up, he turns on the TV, where a news report talking about how a man died from drinking the milkshake is playing.
* PottyEmergency: White Bird's defining characteristic is his never-ending need to take craps.
* PutOnABus:
** Many of the recurring pig characters besides King Pig and Chef Cochon were absent in the show's later episodes, although some of them (The Pig With a Lisp and Poopy [=McFarty=] Pants, to name a few) [[BackForTheFinale returned in "The Final Chapter"]].
** This also happens to Sharkbutt midway through the series, but given how he was arrested at the end of the movie, this is probably {{justified|Trope}}.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Out of all the main characters introduced to the series later in its run, Chef Cochon was the only one who didn't receive an introductory episode.
* SecondEpisodeIntroduction: Studder doesn't officially debut until the series' second episode, "New Assistant".
* SeriesFauxnale: "Sharkbutt Strikes Back" was produced with the intention of being the final episode of the series, only for a proper conclusion, "The Final Chapter", to be produced 3 years later.
* ShoutOut:
** In "Amnesiac Pig", the Birds watch ''Film/JurassicPark''.
** Black Bird is shown playing ''VideoGame/DuckHunt'' in at least 2 episodes.
* SickEpisode: "Red Bird's Illness".
* SirSwearsALot: Green Bird. Green Bird. Green Bird.
* SpeechImpediment: [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin The Pig With a Lisp]].
* StandaloneEpisode: "The King Pig's Egg-cellent Video" and "Pig Insurance".
* TemptingFate: In "Tribute to The Big Setup", Giant Red Bird is nervous about any potential dangers he and Green Bird may face in the woods. Green Bird angrily retorts that it's "not like some maniac in a hooded mask is gonna come out and try to strangle (them)". Take a wild guess as to what happens in the very next scene.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood:
** Studder is well known for his love of onions.
** Yellow Bird's defining characteristic in the original series was his love for Japanese food.
* TrappedInThePast: This happens to King Pig, Chef Cochon and a generic pig at the end of "Time Travel Trouble".
* VillainEpisode: Several.
* VoodooDoll: Several are featured in the appropriately titled "Voo-Doo Dolls".
* WelcomeEpisode: "Meet the Mighty Eagle", "Meet the Orange Bird" and "Meet the Pink Bird".
* WildTeenParty: The pigs throw one of these in "King Pig's Day Off".
