''[=MrBeast=]'' is the Website/YouTube channel name and alias of American {{YouTuber|s}} James "Jimmy" Stephen Donaldson (born May 7, 1998). He started mostly making ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}'' videos, then talking about other [=YouTubers=], and then gaining notoriety for making fun of other [=YouTubers'=] intros, before getting known for videos where he does really absurd things. For instance:
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWcldHxHFpo Counting to 100,000 in one go]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzwTYZ2W3ZA Microwaving a microwave]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AS5CxLCWq-Q Watching Dance 'til You're Dead for 10 hours]].

[=MrBeast=] (the person) is also known for his philanthropy, giving away massive amounts of cash to people in need through giveaways and challenges on ''[=MrBeast=]'' (the channel), such as [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gz3yak1cl-8 Last to Leave Circle wins $10,000]]. These usually involve his friends (Kris, Karl and Chandler) competing, though sometimes other people participate, too. ''[=MrBeast's=]'' content nowadays is mostly about these things, [[SerialEscalation taken to the extreme.]] Some more recent videos of his include:
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ha4tRQwKIUg Buying the entire contents of a supermarket, and then donating all the food to a homeless shelter]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkE0AMGzpJY 10 people competing for a $730,000 private island]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UE5AHE2Ypr8 Meeting up with his 40,000,000th subscriber, and giving him 40 cars to give away to his friends and family.]]

The ''[=MrBeast=]'' channel can be found [[https://www.youtube.com/user/MrBeast6000 here]]. The creator has other channels, including [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4-79UOlP48-QNGgCko5p2g a shorts channel]], [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIPPMRA040LQr5QPyJEbmXA a gaming channel]], [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUaT_39o1x6qWjz7K2pWcgw a channel for miscellaneous insanity]], [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAiLfjNXkNv24uhpzUgPa6A a channel for his very own charity]] and even a set of official channels that edit and [[{{Redubbing}} dub]] his videos into other languages, including Arabic, Bengali, French, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish and Vietnamese. As of 2023, he instead uses the new Audio Track feature for [=YouTube=] to accomplish translations, now having dubs in languages like Japanese and Korean.

----
!!Read these tropes or I will take ALL your cookies:
* FourTwentyBlazeIt: In the "Red Light Green Light" game from the ''Series/SquidGame'' recreation, Karl yells "Yeah, that's the number!" after Jimmy points out they have 4 minutes and 20 seconds left.
* AbsurdPhobia: Chandler has a massive fear of pickles, to the point that he's lost challenges because of them.
* AdaptationalNiceGuy:
** In his real-life recreation of ''Series/SquidGame'', the guards are a lot more affable than they were in the show. They act more like referees than just executioners, and they laugh and joke along with the contestants, whereas in the original show, they were pretty much silent and they wore face coverings (downplayed on that last one since outside of Kris, Karl and Chandler, they still do wear masks). By extension, Mr. Beast himself, given that [[spoiler:the original man who started the games doesn't have a high opinion of the people competing in the games or the people [=MrBeast=] normally helps out]]. Even the game ''itself'' is [[LighterAndSofter this trope]]. Aside from the obvious fact that [[SparedByTheAdaptation no one dies in this version]], the original Squid Games only give money to the families of losing players on the condition that the majority the players agree to stop playing, whereas everyone who participated in the games here was given $1,000 as compensation for filming complications the first day of play, and every eliminated player from the second game onwards walks away with $2,000+. The person who got second place was also awarded $10,000.
** Creator/GordonRamsay appears in his CharlieAndTheChocolateParody to supervise the contestants while they're making a dessert and, while he is otherwise known for screaming at underperforming chefs and letting loose enough FloweryInsults to give the Keukenhof a run for its money, here, he is a lot more easy on the contestants, simply reminding them that they might not have the time they need to make what they're going for, as well as actively asking a contestant if he's OK when he admits he's stressed. Even when he has to spit out their food while tasting it due to how rushed they ended up being, he doesn't lose it with them at all. [[JustifiedTrope Justified]], because these people aren't running a restaurant where it's vitally important to give good service to customers, and [[MeanCharacterNiceActor Gordon Ramsay is actually very mild-mannered and patient when not dealing with his usual peers.]]
* AlternateRealityGame: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZDUxJ-7Y4A& He created one called Mr. Riddle.]] In true [=MrBeast=] fashion, the person who solved it first won $100,000.
* AmbiguousSyntax: PlayedForLaughs in "Would you rather have a house or a Lamborghini".
-->'''Jimmy:''' This is Sam, and Sam, here's $1000. Would you rather have that $1000 or have Chandler punch you in the face for $10,000.\
'''Chandler:''' Bruh, I ain't punching him.\
'''Jimmy:''' Chandler, come over here. Chandler, I didn't tell you the outcome of this vid for a reason, trust me just go with it.\
'''Chandler:''' I've really gotta punch this guy?\
'''Jimmy:''' Just punch what I tell you to punch. Trust me, just go with it.\
'''Jimmy:''' Now that you've had some time to think about it, would you rather have $1000 or have Chandler punch you in the face for 10 smackeronies?\
'''Sam:''' Yeah, you know, it was a really tough decision, Nah, just kidding. He's punching me in the face.\
'''Jimmy:''' Really? You guys stay here, you guys chat.\
'''Sam:''' Is Jimmy psycho? I've been punched in the face for less. I can tell you that.\
'''Chandler:''' What?\
'''Jimmy:''' Chandler, are you ready?\
'''Chandler:''' Yeah, I guess.\
'''Jimmy:''' So pull this curtain back.\
''(Jimmy [[spoiler:brings out a mannequin with the name tag "You"]].)''\
'''Jimmy:''' I said would you rather have $1000 or have Chandler punch [[spoiler:You]] in the face. This is [[spoiler:You]], punch him in the face!
* AntiClimax: During the ''Series/SquidGame'' recreation, Jimmy and the crew end up taking a closer look at player #456 (the same number that protagonist Gi-hun was given in the original series), who makes it to the final game much like the original #456 and even goes through a similar bout of their partner in marbles sacrificing themselves out of their shared bond. [[spoiler:He sits in a chair prematurely during the final game and gets disqualified without much of a struggle]].
* ArtifactTitle: The outro of his videos says "[=MrBeast6000=]". The outro was left unchanged even when his name was shortened to just [=MrBeast=].
* AwesomeButImpractical: Some prizes are really cool on the surface, but aren't worth keeping. Fortunately, they are still ''very'' valuable and can be sold for money. Some good examples include Chandler having to sell the private island he won due to the amount of taxes he has to pay or the winner of the chocolate factory selling it back to [=MrBeast=] due to the cost of its maintenance.
** It's even acknowledged by him in an interview. He's aware that his lavish prizes come with many taxes so he gives winners a choice to sell them back to him for a more practical cash prize.
* BrickJoke: Toward the beginning of "Press This Button to Win $100,000", Karl is forced to sit in a corner for an hour. In the meantime, someone brought him a board so that he could press the button again only to be forced to not push the button until he urinates. This results in Karl eventually consuming enough water to pee in a bucket which is subsequently left in the room. Later, Karl is handcuffed to Ethan, one of their staff, and presses the button again only to have to paint one of the walls. As Karl and Ethan are coming down off a ladder, Ethan starts shouting at Karl because the bucket of pee had been knocked over and [[{{Squick}} Ethan stepped through it]].
* ButtMonkey:
** Chandler was played as this early on in the challenge videos, as he kept losing challenges. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wsFjjhZPJI In the first challenge]] he ''did'' win, he got $30,000 bonus cash on top of the $20,000 the challenge awarded. Fans of Mr. Beast like to make fun of him for losing a lot of challenges.
** Karl is frequently the subject of humiliation from others. From his roommates helping out Jimmy's brother in a prank against him to contestants of a challenge having his car destroyed and replaced with a car of deliberately less value.
* BuriedAlive: In March 2021, Jimmy posted a video where he spent [[https://youtu.be/9bqk6ZUsKyA 50 hours buried alive]], and the forfeit was that if he got out early, he would have gotten [[StaticStunGun tased]]. He succeeded it.
* TheCameo:
** After featuring prominently on the gaming channel, WebVideo/{{Dream}} makes a [[TheFaceless voice-only]] cameo at the end of "Extreme $100,000 Game of Tag" when [[spoiler:he's informed via phone about Sapnap's victory]]. Before this, he also had a (once again voice-only) cameo in "I Bought the World's Largest Mystery Box", where he's responsible for assembling the $50,000 box.
** Video essayist and filmmaker WebVideo/PatrickHWillems and his friend Dave Wiskus are two of the [=GameStop=] customers that appear in "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6E22XQPhhg Anything You Can Fit In The Triangle I'll Pay For]]" -- Willems is the one who breaks out a tape measurer to fit items into the triangle.
* CantGetAwayWithNuthin: Jimmy goes by some very basic, very common sense rules when organizing gaming events. Between him and either Karl or Kris overseeing player behavior, people cheating in Minecraft are very quickly caught and banned from the server. Note that this ''does'' include his friends; Karl once busted Chandler using the teleport command to catch up to another player who had performed a SequenceBreak in the maze challenge via a provided Ender Pearl, and Jimmy immediately banned Chandler from the server. (Jimmy reinstated him later, and it was played as being all in good fun rather than a genuine DisappointedInYou moment).
* CatScare: In "Would You Swim With Sharks for $100,000?", a sting plays just as a "shark" swims by Kris while she's in the water. However, looking closely shows it's actually a harmless remora and several more can be seen both swimming with the actual sharks and attached to their bodies.
* CharlieAndTheChocolateParody: Obviously during a contest that took place in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hwybp38GnZw a replica Wonka Chocolate Factory]].
* ChekhovsGag: In the "Last to Leave Tesla, Keeps It" video, Chandler (in the middle of a ''long'' losing streak) states that he's waiting for the biggest prize. Kris notes how absurd this is, as there have already been a house and a mini-yacht as prizes… but Chandler would eventually make good on this statement by winning a ''private island''.
* CoolAndUnusualPunishment: A staple of competitions between him and his friends. Anything from placing peanut butter in one's shoes and being forced to walk with them on to standing on the side of the road wearing a ridiculous costume and holding an equally ridiculous sign, Jimmy has found amusing ways of humiliating his friends and even himself, as he is not above taking a punishment he has offered out to others.
** Taken to an extreme in "Push This Button to Win $100,000", in which every button push can either be a punishment or a reward. Most of them are punishments, starting with Kris having to wear pants with mayonnaise and increasing in ridiculousness as the video continues.
* CrazyPrepared: During the fourth game of the ''Series/SquidGame'' re-creation, they forced people to compete against their closest associates during the games. It was revealed that they had kept tabs on ''all'' of the contestants during the games, which determined the matchups for the Marbles game.
* DamnYouMuscleMemory: In the "Red Light Green Light" game from the ''Series/SquidGame'' recreation, Jimmy decides to trip people up with "yellow light" and later saying "red light" while it's already in effect. It succeeds in making a few players lose.
* DeathWorld: As seen in "I Survived 50 Hours In Antarctica", Antarctica is [[{{Understatement}} not a very fun place to stay]] (let alone spend three days) in. Not only is the weather awful, but multiple giant blizzards randomly sweep through the place (causing the crew's skin to start freezing), the sun never goes down (leaving them unsure of what time it is and messing up their sleep) and frostbite is always a danger (even when the crew is covered in full gear).
* {{Determinator}}: In ''I Didn't Eat Food For 30 Days'', Jimmy lasts two whole weeks without eating any food despite the constant temptation of his friends, repeated tiredness, grueling hunger, nausea and having to film his CharlieAndTheChocolateParody while on his fast. He most likely would've lasted for a full 30 days if [[SupremeChef Gordon Ramsay]] hadn't cooked Jimmy a scrumptious Breakfast Sandwich (the smell of which makes Jimmy ''[[ManlyTears cry]]'').
* DidntThinkThisThrough:
** In his recent Tag and Hide-and-Seek videos, Jimmy keeps questioning why did he keep renting large stadiums as venues for the said games. In his defense, he does shrink the area and gather his friends and/or former players to help him search the active players as the games progress throughout the videos.
** One button push in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLoeAJUcz38 Press This Button To Win $100,000!]] gives Chandler the choice of nominating one person to not be allowed to press the button for ten pushes. He immediately chooses himself in order to avoid the punishments. Jimmy quickly points out that, for all he knows, one of those ten presses could be the $100K and Chandler just disqualified himself from it. Chandler has to sit to one side and wait for the button to be pressed ten times before he can resume. To his fortune, the money didn't come up.
** In "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZQhgExjBvQ I Survived 24 Hours Straight In Ice]]", Jimmy quickly regrets the challenge once he's inside the ice house. It is 24°F, he goes in wearing a hoodie over a t-shirt and sweat pants, and his friends are more inclined to force him to leave (not unreasonable; they don't want to have syrup dumped on them if Jimmy succeeds) than provide more than food and frustration. He secretly bribes a cameraman for his gloves and a few other items to help him out.
* EarthShatteringKaboom: In the "$1 vs. $100,000,000 House" video, a satellite blows up the entire planet with its laser, only for the video to continue on a chunk of the Earth to showcase the $100,000,000 house.
* EveryoneHasStandards: For a guy that hosts absurd and expensive challenges and projects. In a [[Trivia/MrBeast What Could Have Been]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsWPpE4Rid0& video]], even Jimmy finds the idea of a city of bouncy castles too absurd.
* ExactWords: Often invoked even by Jimmy. For instance, during the "Press This Button to Win $100,000", Tags has to break a 2x4 with babies (dolls, naturally). While Jimmy and the others are gone, he uses a saw to cut through part of the board before breaking it the rest of the way with the baby dolls.
* FreudianTrio: A trio of his most recognizable friends are this: Karl Jacobs is TheKirk due to being a loud young adult, loves to reference memes and is one of the more emotional of Jimmy's friends but can be level headed and logical sometimes, Kris Tyson is TheSpock due to being a NiceGirl just like Jimmy and the TeamMom of the group, being a level-headed individual [[BewareTheNiceOnes but can get hostile from time to time]] [[NotSoAboveItAll and has her moments of comedy]] and Chandler Hallow is the TheMcCoy due to being the ManChild {{Cloudcuckoolander}} of the group, is usually hungry [[AbsurdPhobia and afraid of random things like pickles]].
* GiantBoardGame: In the video [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nd73lyvq4w Giant Monopoly Game With Real Money]], Jimmy flies in four contestants to play a game of Monopoly on a giant board. Ultimately, [[spoiler:Logan wins the game and $10,400]].
* GoshDangItToHeck: To be family-friendly and appeal to the Youtube algorithm, the cast never swears, either using euphemisms or a SoundEffectBleep.
* GoMadFromTheIsolation: Downplayed in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7zJ8srwwjk the video]] where Jimmy spent 50 hours in a solitary confinement. While his friends try as hard as to make Jimmy leave the confinement, Jimmy stated that, about 30 hours in, he went slightly crazy.
* IntimidatingRevenueService: The [[https://twitter.com/ChandlerHallow/status/1305962002959994880 reason]] Chandler sold the $730,000 island that he won, is because he couldn't afford hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay taxes.
* {{Irony}}: In [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsWPpE4Rid0& the video where Jimmy talks about failed videos]], he mentions one video which failed because a ''tub of sticky glue'' fell apart.
* KeepItForeign: "Extreme Try Not To Laugh Challenge!" from Beast Reacts includes [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU8fEwIccKo this video]] of a woman imitating WesternAnimation/DoraTheExplorer and asking her mother if she can say phrases in Spanish, annoying her in the process. In the Spanish dub of the video, she instead teaches English, like how the Spanish dub of the actual show works.
* KillSat: In the "$1 vs. $100,000,000 House" video, a satellite blows up the entire planet with its laser, only for the video to continue on a chunk of the Earth to showcase the $100,000,000 house.
* {{Leitmotif}}: His iconic outro song [[https://youtu.be/ttLYXcza4j4?t=24 "Mr.Beast 6000, oh woah~"]].
* LockedUpAndLeftBehind: Nolan ends up being left in solitary confinement at the end of "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nM89Wl03Q4g I Survived 50 Hours In A Maximum Security Prison]]". It, unfortunately, happened again as he gets left buried alive in a coffin at the end of ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbJJwaVdgIs I Got Hunted By The Military]]''.
* LoopholeAbuse: In "I Gave My 100,000,000th Subscriber An Island", one of the challenges is Red Light, Green Light as a CallBack to the ''Series/SquidGame'' video. At one point, Jimmy makes a comment about the game before walking away and one of the contestants realizes that, since he said "green light" during said comment, he can make a run towards the finish line, becoming the first winner. Jimmy even notes that, by a technicality, this is allowed.
-->'''Jimmy:''' The beauty of this Red Light, Green Light is there's no time limit. I can just put the mike down and wait ten minutes.
* LoudOfWar: Whenever Jimmy has put himself into an endurance challenge, part of his friends' strategy is to holler a lot or play sounds that aggravate Jimmy. Although Jimmy is visibly annoyed with whatever they do, it never convinces him to end a challenge. Part of this confidence comes from Jimmy knowing how easily bored they get with screaming, although they will gladly leave annoying sounds/videos playing until Jimmy decides to destroy the sound equipment.
* LuxuryPrisonSuite: "$10,000 Every Day You Survive Prison" features a man named Josh who stays in a prison with 25 items that make his stay much more luxurious, getting $10,000 per day, which he can end at any time. However, he has to give up one items each day, and there are a few twists to spice things up. [[spoiler:He ultimately loses everything except for the bed and leaves with $340,000.]]
* {{Mooning}}: Kris once did this in "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZQhgExjBvQ I Survived 24 Hours Straight In Ice]]" when she realized how transparent the walls of Jimmy's ice house were. [[DidntThinkThisThrough It causes Jimmy to crack up laughing and he walks away complaining that his butt is wet.]] [[LaserGuidedKarma The camera then cuts to Kris slipping and falling on the ice outside.]]
* MovingTheGoalposts: Jimmy will modify rules or (in games) drop items that give one side or the other an advantage. This has a basis in reason: sometimes, the games that he has assembled have ground to a halt because the players have somehow stalemated.
** For challenges in real life, rules that increase the chances a person is eliminated from the competition so that a single winner can be determined. For hide-and-seek, he declares part of the field off-limits so that he has a better chance of finding people and narrowing down the winner (otherwise, people have proven to be quite efficient at hiding and being impossible for him to find even when he has others helping; the competition could potentially go on for days). For others which tests people's endurance ("Last with a hand on…" or "Last to leave…"), when the action and trash talk has died, giving people things to play with and giving them enticements to leave help speed up the game and declare a winner.
** For game challenges, particularly in ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}'', Jimmy and his crew like to toss players items to at least make the action pick up and help make declaring a winner happen sooner. When it's just his friends playing a competition among themselves, he will at least try to keep the score even.[[labelnote: Example]] When pitting Chandler and Kris against Karl and Nolan, Chandler and Kris won the first two of a series of games quickly. In order to make the score even, Jimmy gave Nolan a laser in a game where the two sides were supposed to be using multi-arrow launchers at one another (which let Nolan light half the map on fire). Later, Jimmy gave Karl and Nolan water buckets to save their landing after having handed Chandler and Kris an easy method of dispatching them with rocket launchers.[[/labelnote]]
* ObviousRulePatch: Happens four times in his Series/SquidGame video.
** Instead of players being able to see which shape they're picking in the second game, the shapes are instead hidden since most of the contestants will have watched the show and know what they're playing in advance, meaning most of them would just pick the easiest shapes.
** Because the contestants are not chained to the rope during the Tug-of-War game, the objective of the game was adjusted to allow bringing the middle flag over to their platform in order to win, instead of merely pulling their opponents off the platform.
** For the Marbles game, the players are forced to team up with their closest associates during the games instead of allowing them to pick their partner that they have to fight against. Again, this is to keep the original spirit of the game, since most contestants would know they wouldn't want to pair up with your friends in this game. [[DownplayedTrope However, there was a workaround to this]], as some contestants actively avoided forming friendships or sticking around the same person during the games for this specific reason, and were subsequently paired with a random person.
** For the Glass Bridge game, the vests are numbered in Korean, again, because the contestants likely know what they're playing in advance. During the game itself, the ordering system is also different. Larger numbers are required to go ahead of smaller numbers after enough correct guesses to put a stop to lower numbers refusing to move at all.
** The surviving contestants still have steak dinner before the last game, but instead with plastic knives instead of silverware. PlayedForLaughs, as it was quite clear no one would have to worry about contestants stabbing each other for real in this game, and the plastic utensils were more of a joke than anything.
** December 12th, 2022 marked a change in [=MrBeast's=] ''Minecraft'' challenges to forbid anyone who tests a challenge format from being selected for the real videos. As compensation, going to tests raises the odds of being selected for a format they did ''not'' attend.
* OneOfTheBoys: Even after Kris came out as a transgender woman and transitioned, she still considers herself one of the boys. Even Jimmy still refers to his whole squad as "The Boys".
* ProductPlacement: He often has sponsors help him with his giveaways, and he'll shout them out when they do.
** In the "Spending $1,000,000 In 24 Hours" video, the sponsor Honey had several noticeable banners throughout the video.
** VideoGame/ApexLegends sponsored ''Mr. Riddle'', and one of the clues involved filling in a voice line from the game.
* RunningGag:
** Anytime someone throws or drops an object or a person falls over, they are consumed by an explosion before the camera cuts.
** Player kills are often heralded by the "teammate fall" beep found in ''VideoGame/{{Fortnite}}''. Especially when the game is ''not'' Fortnite. Similarly, references to racing are often made using sound effects from the later ''VideoGame/MarioKart'' games.
** Using babies (actually baby dolls). When not being used to break things, Jimmy occasionally has his friends punished by throwing baby dolls at them.
** Calling attention to when the numbers [[{{LOL69}} "69"]] or [[FourTwentyBlazeIt "420" / "4/20"]] pop up.
** If someone has to be left behind at a certain location for a challenge, they will inevitably be kept there for far longer than necessary as TheStinger.
* ScreamsLikeALittleGirl: Their audio equipment takes a ''lot'' from Karl, Kris, and Chandler, especially on the gaming channel. Karl is the most prone to screaming at a high pitch since, given his ButtMonkey status, he is likely to watch the game screw him over or get mugged by a mob in short order.
* SecretTestOfCharacter: To show how much he highly values education, one video had Jimmy ask a student if she would drop out out of high school for $100k. Since she said no and explained why, she was awarded the money.
* SerialEscalation:
** His philanthropy and cash giveaways have gotten larger and larger as ''[=MrBeast=]'' has gotten bigger; one of his earliest giveaways only gave away $1000 in one video, but they expanded until he was giving away $1,000,000 in a single video.
** Sometimes he'll redo challenges with bigger prize pools. He did a hide and seek challenge for $50,000, then did it again for $60,000, then again for $70,000.
** One video had Jimmy and his cohort buy ''every single item'' in a store. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Fg9oZk-5uA In a later video]], he did the same thing to ''five'' other stores in a row.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDiXxsQ0w2Q This]] ''[[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome backfires]]'' on him big time when he promises to sign every single limited edition shirt that is bought.
* ShoutOut: One of the challenges for the ''Mr. Riddle'' involved playing a clone of ''VideoGame/FlappyBird''.
* ShownTheirWork: During his 30-day fast, when he finally calls it quits and takes a bite out of Creator/GordonRamsay's sandwich, [=MrBeast=] tells him that he's gonna have to spit it out due to something called Refeeding Syndrome, a serious problem where quickly reintroducing food to a starved body could cause fatal repercussions. One of his friends even brings up how the carbs would be a major issue.
* SpecialGuest:
** In Jimmy's gaming channel, WebVideo/{{Dream}} appears in some of his videos and is one of the two main characters in the Dream VS WebVideo/{{Technoblade}} $100,000 duel. In fact, the continued existence of the gaming channel is because of Dream, as one of the challenges had the stakes of ''the gaming channel getting deleted if they lost''. (The challenge consisted of 100 players hunting down the [=MrBeast=] team while Dream defended them; if all four got killed within 15 minutes, the channel would have been deleted.)
** LetsPlay/{{Sapnap}} appears as one of the competitors in "Extreme $100,000 Game of Tag". [[spoiler:He's also the eventual winner]].
** WebVideo/{{Technoblade}} also once appeared in "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jk6thMe6Vq8 I Survived 100 Days Of Hardcore Minecraft!]]". Only to be blown up by a TNT he was not aware was lit and get permabanned for dying in a hardcore game.
** In his [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hwybp38GnZw Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory]] video, he had competitive eaters Matt Stonie and Joey Chestnut, as well as none other than Creator/GordonRamsay.
* SpoofAesop: Parodied at the start of the "Last To Take Hand Off $1,000,000 Keeps It" video. Chandler is asked to give a motivational speech on what will happen to the contestants if they take their hands of the money, which is:
-->''What happens is you get a feeling of regret and sadness, and it never goes away. So don't lose.''
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: In "I Spent 7 Days Buried Alive," Kris says "We definitely stayed up all night and dug this tunnel and didn't pay that guy to do it." The camera then tilts to show a guy in an excavator, who waves.
* TakeThat:
** Jimmy has a smaller recording room in his studio that is frequently filled with printed-out memes as a FunnyBackgroundEvent. In "Donating $.10 for Every Subscriber," one such meme is a picture of another printed-out ImageMacro featuring the bugle person from ''WesternAnimation/CourageTheCowardlyDog'''s finale; the text simply reads "OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE." Given the [[HeroicSelfDeprecation context]] of the scene, it's a rather unsubtle way of saying the restaurant chain is subpar.
** As another jab at chain restaurants, "Press This Button To Win $100,000" has forcing you to eat from Arby's be one of the punishments. To really rub it in, Chandler lets out a BigNo when it comes up.
* TeamMom: Kris. She's typically the one trusted to light fires and keep the group fed/sheltered during survival challenges, in addition to actually being a parent.
* TheSongRemainsTheSame: "Donating $100,00 To Random Streamers" features one of the streamers Kris finds on Mixer rapping ''[[Music/BizMarkie Just A Friend]]''. In the French dub of the video, he is dubbed over like everyone else, but the lyrics remain in English.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck: Regularly through expressions since Jimmy's friends have already been through the wringer a number of times. Occasionally heralded by Jimmy saying, "I think you know where I'm going with this."
** Even his staff can be seen having these moments when they appear on camera. Tareq, one of the cameramen, has seen about as much as Jimmy's regular crew. Jeff, the sound guy, can be seen having one when Jimmy starts taking his equipment from him without explanation while standing in front of a box filled with bundles of money and [[{{Squick}} about a dozen cockroaches]].
* UnclePennybags: Jimmy himself fits this trope. In some of his videos, [[ThinkNothingOfIt he gives away money for free like it's nothing]] via donating to Twitch Streamers without viewers, made a "free money!" bank and basically gives away cash to friends, family and even random strangers. He isn't only on the giveaway cash deeds, he gave away houses to a homeless person and a pizza delivery guy, made all dogs and puppies in an adoption center have loving homes and the famous Team Trees project of planting 20 MILLION TREES. Usually, his helping out comes across as more of a WealthyPhilanthropist. [[NiceGuy Plus, he is a quaint and friendly individual.]]
* WhoWantsToBeWhoWantsToBeAMillionaire: {{Downplayed|Trope}} with the "$1,000,000 Dollar Challenge". It had the large cash prize, moments played for drama, and the final part with a darker atmosphere and foreboding soundtrack, complete with confetti getting dumped on the winner. But it still didn't completely shed the goofiness of ''[=MrBeast=]'' challenges; for instance, one of the qualifiers involved being the ''last to sit on a toilet'', and the finale had the coaches go home and cook a meal for their contestants.
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Chandler has a fear of snakes. In "Would You Sit In Snakes for $10,000" when Jimmy presents the boys with the titular challenge, Chandler leaves immediately.
