This series portrays (mostly) all cartoon heroes living in one SharedUniverse. 20	** [[WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty Rick Sanchez]] is a more prominent example here, with his lackadaisical attitude when it comes to Aku and him just being an unapologetic jerk to the rest of the cast.
21	* AlternateTimeline: It's revealed in "The Meeting" that the Aku virus originated from one. Aku ''did'' exist in Team Teen's universe at one point during Ancient Japan, but Jack killed Aku before he could send him into the future.

Then, it's revealed by Rick that since Stan was able to regain his memories, that meant Bill survived his destruction. Bill remained trapped in Stan's head until a piece of Aku fully restored him.
37	* CameBackStrong: Aku's resurrection of Bill not only grants him a new black look (complete with a flaming eyebrow), but also some of Aku's powers, like his EyeBeams and some degree of his shape-shifting abilities. What's more, Bill can now possess other beings without needing to make a deal and shake their hands.

57	* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Not surprisingly, [[WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty Rick]] isn't exactly well liked by the vast majority of the other characters, whether it's because of his status as a galaxy-wide criminal or just his [[{{Jerkass}} general jackassery]]. Even [[WesternAnimation/GravityFalls Ford]], the one who seems to tolerate Rick the most (at least, enough to come directly to him for help), is vexed by his tendency to not treat multiversal threats, such as Aku's return, seriously.

59	** The Fusion Gems. Steven, Connie and the Crystal Gems perform this to stop Tamatoa who lampshades how annoying they are to deal with.

63	* LaResistance: In ''The Meeting'', [[WesternAnimation/KimPossible Wade]] reveals that [[WesternAnimation/{{Cars}} Lightning McQueen]], [[WesternAnimation/BlazeAndTheMonsterMachines A.J and Blaze]] (whom [[WesternAnimation/MiraculousLadybug Ladybug]] encountered in Paris) are part of a growing alliance formed to combat the spread of Aku's virus.
64	* MagicIsAMonsterMagnet: As stated by Tamatoa, the “black ink” (a.k.a. Aku's essence), emits a call that only monsters can hear and they'll stop at nothing to obtain it.

73	* SeenItAll: When Sonic reveals that [[WesternAnimation/{{Turbo}} Turbo]] is from Ben's world, Ben isn't totally surprised, admitting seeing weirder stuff than a super snail.
74	* SharedUniverse: In this series, all the characters live in one universe. There are some exceptions, like Sonic and Moana, who come from different dimensions and/or time periods.
75	* SpeechBubbles: "The Rematch" and "Battle of Beach City" utilize these along with spoken dialogue, but they were soon dropped in the last couple of parts of ''Beach City''.
