2	Ling Ling seems to have a combination of all three of Pikachu's evolutionary forms; Pichu's black tail, Pikachu's general shape, and Raichu's coloring. Where has this sort of evolutionary mishmash happened before? The [[VideoGame/PokemonGoldAndSilver Red Gyarados]], which had the body of a Gyarados but the coloring of a Magikarp due to a botched force-evolution. This is possibly also the source of his violent nature; in the game, the evolution-forcing signal caused all of the Magikarp-turned-Gyarados in the Lake of Rage to become highly irritable.

Toot and Hero were presumably getting their ideas of the bad reaction from somewhere, and their enthusiasm in continuing the roleplay when Xandir's not around implies they were using it to process some problems of their own (not necessarily all from their parents, though).
