[[WMG:The Mjölnir Jane wields is the same one destroyed in Ragnarok, just reforged.]]
The cracks on both hammers match up.
** Well, not reforged, it just holds itself back together with magic.

[[WMG: Odin's enchantment on Mjölnir was broken with the hammer]]
Meaning one no longer needs to be worthy to wield it.
** Jossed. Jane is worthy, that's why she managed to reform it.

[[WMG: Mjolnir's enchantment was passed to Thor when Odin died]]
Jane is able to lift it because he deemed her as worthy. Would also explain Steve doing so in ''Endgame''.
** Unclear, albeit it only reforms for Jane because Thor imbued Mjolnir with extra magic, if only unintentionally.
[[WMG: Gamora will appear in TheStinger]]
As a tease for ''Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3'', we may have a hint as to her whereabouts post-''Endgame''.
** Jossed.

[[WMG: Gorr uses Thor's decision to retire as a justification to continue his god slaughtering crusade.]]
In the comics, Gorr's race suffered despite praying to the gods to help them. This was why he began to kill gods in the first place: because he felt they did nothing to stop pain and suffering.

To an outsider, what Thor has done isn’t honorable. After failing to stop Thanos, he spent five years getting drunk, eating excessively and shutting himself away, feeling sorry for himself.

After the snapped half were brought back and Thanos was killed (again), Thor walks out on his people to explore the cosmos with a band of common mercenaries, leaving the throne to a former alcoholic deserter.

Now that Thor has apparently given up his duties to “find himself”, Gorr will seize the opportunity to strike New Asgard and prove that gods are frauds who only look out for themselves.

* Jossed, Gorr hates all gods equally after one didn't save his daughter.

[[WMG: Locations that can be visited:]]
We already saw Olympus in the teaser, so maybe Thor and co. will travel to the domains of other Skyfathers to stop Gorr as a MythologyGag to when Thor visited said domains in the comics.
* [[Series/MoonKnight2022 The]] [[Myth/EgyptianMythology Overvoid]]
* [[Literature/TheBible Heaven]] -- or [[ComicBook/AngelaAsgardsAssassin Heven]]
* [[Myth/CelticMythology Otherworld]]
* [[Myth/HinduMythology Nirvana]]
* [[Myth/JapaneseMythology Takamagahara]]
* [[ComicBook/ThorGodOfThunder2012 Omnipotence City]]
** This last one was right on the money!

[[WMG: The [[Series/CloakAndDagger2018 Loa]] will appear.]]
Recent MCU movies have been integrating the canon of the non D+ tv shows, so why not?

** Unless it's proven it's one of the gods in Omnicity, Jossed.

[[WMG: Hercules is in the film and he will be played by a well-known actor but he would get SirNotAppearingInThisTrailer treatment]]
Similar to ''Film/SpiderManNoWayHome'' and ''Film/DoctorStrangeInTheMultiverseOfMadness'', it's possible that Marvel Studios hiding Hercules' presence in the trailer with visual effects trickery like they did with [[spoiler:both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men]] in the former and they already casts a well-known actor for the role. Not to mention that Olympians like Zeus are confirmed to appear in the film, it wouldn't make sense to leave Hercules out from Love and Thunder.

* [[spoiler:He's in the Stinger! Albeit whether Creator/BrettGoldstein is a big enough name is up to you.]]

[[WMG: Hercules will appear.]]
It has already been confirmed that Creator/RussellCrowe will play Zeus, the appearance of Zeus in the MCU will open up the possibilities for his son Hercules to appear in the MCU.

* Confirmed!
[[WMG: Hercules will have a [[ItsPersonal personal vendetta]] against Gorr, due to the death of Zeus.]]
Gorr seeks to kill all gods, so it is likely that one of the gods he kills is Zeus himself. The death of the Greek god Zeus provoked the wrath of his mighty son Hercules. He will seek to avenge the death of his beloved father, Hercules will have a much more personal revenge relationship with Gorr with YouKilledMyFather.

* [[spoiler:Jossed, the vendetta is with Thor as he's the one who opened a hole through Zeus's chest - albeit he managed to recover.]]

[[WMG: Hercules will be played by Creator/HenryCavill.]]
The CastingGag of being [[Film/ManOfSteel Russell Crowe's]] son. A TakeThat to the [[Franchise/DCExtendedUniverse DCU]]. And above all else, is there anyone else who looks the part more?

* [[spoiler:Jossed, it's Creator/BrettGoldstein.]]

[[WMG: Kid Loki and Ikol the Magpie will appear.]]
It depends if this is confirmed or not, but at least some version or variant of Loki should appear. It's likely that Kid Loki will somehow make it to the MCU and meet his brother Thor. And as for Ikol, maybe [[spoiler: he is the reincarnation of the original Loki who was killed by Thanos]], Kid Loki and Ikol depending on how they meet and know each other. These two loki will run into Thor at some point.

* Jossed.

[[WMG: Midgard Serpent will appear.]]
Originally in ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar'' it was considered that Thor would face off against Jormundgandr, the World Serpent. The artbooks elaborate on this sequence further, explaining that Stormbreaker would've instead been an ancient weapon already forged long ago, used to kill Jormungandr by one of Thor's ancestors. Thor's quest would've involved heading to the World Serpent's corpse to retrieve the axe, and fighting their way through the Serpent's giant children on their way out.

* Jossed.

[[WMG: Returning MCU characters on Gorr's hit list:]]
Note: these don't necessarily have to be actual deities, it can include beings powerful enough to be mistaken for gods.
* [[Film/BlackPanther2018 Bast]]
** Confirmed, a black CatGirl is in Omnipotence City.
* [[Film/{{Eternals}} The Celestials]]
* [[Film/{{Eternals}} The Eternals]]
* [[Series/Runaways2017 The Gibborim]]
* [[Film/ShangChiAndTheLegendOfTheTenRings The Great Protector]]
* [[Series/MoonKnight2022 Khonshu and the Ennead]]
* Film/{{Captain Marvel|2019}} or [[Series/WandaVision the Scarlet Witch]] (both are infused with the cosmic power of infinity stones, and powerful enough to be held in some reverence by people/groups)
* If Gorr has been at this for a while, he could mention that [[Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol2 Ego]] was a prior target, and grudgingly thank the Guardians for "tying up that loose end for [him]".
** Or worse, he puts Star Lord on his hit list, ''because'' he's Ego's son!
* The Grandmaster and the Collector, provided that the latter survived Infinity War and was brought back to life in Endgame.
* [[Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxyVol2 The Sovereign]]
* [[Film/DoctorStrange2016 Dormammu]]

* Well, he wants to kill all deities. And a Celestial (Eternity) does appear. But none that appeared priorly are namedropped.

[[WMG: Gorr will be played entirely seriously as a {{Foil}} to Thor]]
With the theme of Thor DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife and finding ways to heal and move on from losing his entire family, having Gorr, who also lost his own family but [[RoaringRampageOfRevenge could not quite move on from his loss and lashed out instead]], be his foil would make a lot of sense and it will be taken seriously to contrast the funnier bits of the film, with Thor seeing this would have been him if he did not have his friends to be there for him, which also ties in to Peter's advice to him to look into the eyes of those he loves, to which Thor still has plenty like the Avengers and the remaining Asgardians, unlike Gorr who is [[GoMadFromTheIsolation all alone]].

* Confirmed, Thor is trying to deal with finding a purpose and rekindling his love, while Gorr lost a love and thus put it as his purpose to kill lots of people.

[[WMG:The film will use the "cancer" plot point from ''ComicBook/Thor2014''.]]
It may be due to Jane's possession by the Aether in ''Film/ThorTheDarkWorld''. While it was extracted by Malekith, there may be consequences with having an Infinity Stone inside you for some time. So, like the comics, every time she uses Mjolnir, her chemotherapy progress is reset for the worse.
* Additionally, this may have been the reason for her break-up with Thor. Due to her cancer diagnosis, she may have been the one to end their relationship, [[BreakHisHeartToSaveHim because she wanted to spare Thor the pain of watching her health deteriorate in the coming years]].

* Confirmed.

[[WMG: Thor and The Guardians will help Jane]]
Given that both He and The Guardians of the Galaxy are confirmed to appear in the film, it is possible that they are going to help her.

* Jossed, he splits with the Guardians before reuniting with Jane.

[[WMG: Enchantress will appear In Thor: Love and Thunder]]
She will appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, where she will serve as Thor’s Love Interest since Thor and Jane broke up offscreen sometime before the events of Thor: Ragnarok.
* This conflicts with the Disney+ series 'Loki', where Sylvie is a composite character of Female Loki AND the Enchantress. That might be a bit too kinky for Marvel.

* Jossed.

[[WMG: Thor: Love and Thunder will focus on Jane]]
Since Thor is no longer going to be Prince of Asgard or the owner of his hammer, Thor: Love and Thunder may focus on Jane, as she tries to take care of being a superheroine.

* Well, she gets as much focus as Thor himself.

[[WMG: One of the "rebooted" Eternals (that Arishem took in the finale) will appear.]]
A version of Sersi, Kingo or Phastos, with no memory of having lived on Earth, with be on Gorr's hit list and saved by Thor and pals. Then, Thor or Quill will mention Earth, which will shake a loose memory in the Eternal, who will decide to investigate, leading into Eternals 2.
* Alternatively, some of the gods Gorr killed in the past or offscreen will include Eternals who were dispatched to other planets.

* Jossed.

[[WMG: The One Above All will finally be mentioned by name, but not physically appear.]]

* Jossed.
[[WMG: The One Above All will physically appear.]]
Just like how comic TOAA has taken the form of Creator/JackKirby, in this movie He'll take the form of Creator/TaikaWaititi or Creator/KevinFeige.
* Jossed.
[[WMG: Gorr's motive will be related to Asgard's colonial past.]]
In the previous movie, Asgard was depicted as having conquered other planets or realms in the past. Gorr could have been an inhabitant of one such planet, growing to hate the Asgardians for conquering and looting his homeworld, and other gods for standing by while his people and those of other planets suffered.
* Jossed, it's an unrelated god who ignites his rage.
[[WMG: Gorr will kill one of the main cast members.]]
Because he needs to be taken seriously as a threat, he could kill:
* Korg
** [[spoiler:Jossed. Zeus destroys his body, but the head survives.]]
* Miek
* The Grandmaster
* One of the Guardians
* Valkyrie (unlikely)
** [[spoiler:Does injure her enough for her to not partake in the final battle.]]
* Jane (unlikely)
** [[spoiler: Causes her death once she destroys both Mjolnir and the Necrosword at once.]]
* Thor (also unlikely)
* Lady Sif
** [[spoiler:Cuts her arm.]]
* Kraglin
* Zeus (setting up the debut of Marvel's Hercules on a revenge quest)
** [[spoiler:It's Thor who kills him, albeit Zeus returns.]]

[[WMG:King Valkyrie's Queen]]
Given that it's been confirmed that Valkyrie is looking for a spouse and that her bisexuality will be spotlighted after being cut out of ''Thor: Ragnarok''... who are the candidates?
* There's Annabelle Riggs, who kissed with comic Valkyrie that one time.
* Ever since it was confirmed Valkyrie was looking for a queen, I've been thinking that it would be Jane Foster, as a nice AuthorsSavingThrow to those who were annoyed with how her relationship with Thor took up most of the first two films while providing some AdaptationalSexuality.
** This troper seconds this theory as Taika Waititi has said that the romance in the film is an unexpected one. This WMG seems to fit that notion.
* Sif, who has decided to move on from her infatuation with Thor and seek someone else's love.
* All stand for his Grace, King Korg

* All Jossed. Valkyrie is not actively seeking a partner, mentioning she's been heartbroken many times (mostly because her lovers are partners in arms who die). However, Valkyrie does kiss the hand of one of Zeus's hand maidens.

[[WMG:Gorr's acquisition of the Necrosword]]
Given that Knull is predominantly a ''ComicBook/{{Venom}}'' character and thus likely falls under the purview of Sony, and the Necrosword was previously shown as byproducts of Hela's crown in ''Thor: Ragnarok'' -- with the crown itself being called the Necrosword in ''WesternAnimation/WhatIf2021'', Hela will play Knull's role as the dark god from whom Gorr gets the Necrosword.

* Some entity is related to the Necrosword, but it's unclear (and doesn't seem to be Hela).

[[WMG:Loki will finally make his cinematic return here]]
Because you can't have a Thor movie without Loki, even if it's only for a cameo appearance.

* Jossed, Loki's only in flashbacks.

[[WMG: The 2012 Loki variant or Sylvie will pop up in the TheStinger for a Loki Season 2 tease]]

* Jossed.

[[WMG: Gorr is really seeking revenge against the Celestials]]
Eternals reveal that [[spoiler: in order for a new Celestial to be born, a civilized planet has to be destroyed]]. Gorr will be revealed to be a survivor from [[spoiler: a planet that a new Celestial recently destroyed, possibly Centuri-Six as Thena mentioned]]. He blames the destruction on the Celestials, but he doesn't have the power to kill a Celestial. So he instead takes his revenge against the offspring of the Celestials (Eternals and all those deemed as "gods") as the next best option.
* Jossed, it's against anyone who is a deity.

[[WMG:This will be the last Marvel Movie for Chris Hemsworth.]]
With the 4th entry setting up that Thor is a retired hero, Jane Foster adopting the mantle of 'Thor' and the main villian (Gorr) seeking lethal vengeance against "the gods", it sets up the potential scenario, for this to be the final Marvel movie for Chris Hemsworth's Thor. While Hemsworth has denied leaving the role anytime soon, his fellow Avenger co-star, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson have all officially retired from their respected roles. Thor could be written out by living the retired life like Steve Rogers. Or he might sacrifice his life for the greater good like Tony and Natasha. If it is the former, it leaves the door open for Thor to make a potential return to the series.
* Mixed. Hemsworth has been very vocal about this not being his last film as Thor. However, during a 2022 Wired's Auto-Complete Interview, Hemsworth admitted that even he didn't know if ''Love and Thunder'' would be his last Marvel Movie or not.
* [[spoiler:Well, he ends the movie alive and there are some blatant sequel hooks.]]

[[WMG:Thor will become the All-father and assume a role similar to Nick Fury as the [=MCU's=] BigGood.]]
While he could give up the throne, he cannot give up being the son of Odin. With respect to the theme of finding himself, he'll realize that being protector of the realms is what he ''wants'' to be, not just a responsibility that was placed on him by his birth and gains full control of the odinforce because of it. Entrusting Earth to Jane and Valkyrie, he leaves to focus on dealing with universe-scale threats. This leaves the door open for Chris Hemsworth to pass the mantle, but still be able to return here and there.
* Jossed, albeit he empowers Asgardian kids and becomes a surrogate father by the end.

[[WMG:Thor and Jane will not end up back together.]]
They will, however, reconcile their feelings and wind up BetterAsFriends.

* Jossed, they realize that they love each other more than anything. [[spoiler:Albeit it ends once she dies.]]

[[WMG:Jane will reveal she's romantically involved with Sam Wilson]]
They had a relationship in the comics the coincided with her run with Mjolnir and helped to establish that she and Thor really are better off not being together. If the Xbox marketing tie-in for [[Series/TheFalconAndTheWinterSoldier TFATWS]] is to be considered canon, he's also friends with [[Film/CaptainAmericaTheWinterSoldier Apple Store Aaron]] aka [[Film/AvengersEndgame Noobmaster69]].

* Jossed.

[[WMG:The reformed Mjolnir [[spoiler: is the 616 version inhabited by Odin]]]]
[[spoiler: So far all the multiverse plots have connected the other movie canon's, but not the comics. The MilestoneCelebration [[ComicBook/TheMightyThor 750th issue]] was released just a week before ''Multiverse of Madness'' which will likely have a [[TheStinger stinger]] leading right into this.]]

* Jossed.

[[WMG:We'll see the classic costumes of the Asgardians.]]
At the beginning of the trailer, Thor is briefly seen with his classic costume. Maybe there'll be a scene where Classic Thor interacts with the other Asgardians with Creator/JackKirby-accurate clothing? The costume department is going to either have a lot of fun or pull their hairs out when it comes to [[https://www.cbr.com/thor-odin-jack-kirby-never-draw-same-way-twice/ Odin, who Kirby drew with the most over-the-top armor imaginable.]]
* Confirmed, both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker can summon the classic Thor armor.

[[WMG:The Jane we see here as Mighty Thor is a [[Series/Loki2021 Variant]].]]
With a large amount of emphasis having been given to multiversal versions of Marvel characters in the recent theatrical outings (''Film/SpiderManNoWayHome'' and ''Film/DoctorStrangeInTheMultiverseOfMadness'' in particular), it wouldn't entirely be out of reason to go this route to make it easier to explain how and why exactly Jane became Thor instead of the other explanations (cancer plot notwithstanding).
* Jossed. The Official Trailer confirms that it's the same Jane, with Jane referencing to her and Thor's prior break-up.

[[WMG:Sif has been hanging out in Olympus.]]
Ever since her banishment from Asgard by Loki disguised as Odin, she has been living a new life in a place that reminds her of her homeworld. Asgard and Olympus are quite similar in appearance.

* Jossed, apparently she's been all over the cosmos before Thor reunites with her.

[[WMG:The movie will make a Literature/PercyJacksonAndTheOlympians reference]]
With Disney + set to have the series adapted for its service in the near future, Disney might suggest a little easter egg for marketing purposes. It would probably be a small thing, like Poseidon appearing more like he does there than in Marvel, or a offhand mention of demigods.

--> '''Hercules''': Oh yeah, we have a ton of those. We could fill a summer camp with them or something.

* Jossed.

[[WMG:Amatsu-Mikaboshi will be teased as a future enemy]]
* He could also feel a kinship with the Necrosword, as its assumed creator, Knull, is a fellow primordial god of the Abyss.

* Jossed.

[[WMG:Gods who could appear]]
A set photo shows Valkyrie, Jane as the Mighty Thor, and Bast attending what seems to be a meeting of gods in what could be Omnipotence City. As Gorr needs gods to butcher, possible divine cameos could include:
* [[ComicBook/ThorGodOfThunder2012 The Sky Lords of Indigarr, Shadrak, Sequoia Queen and Oaken King, the Time Gods of Chronux, and/or the Lord Librarian]]
** The corpses of the Sky Lords make a brief cameo as one of the images on the Guardian's distress calls.
* [[Series/MoonKnight2022 Khonshu, Taweret, Osiris, Horus, Hathor, Isis, Tefnut, and the other Ennead]]
* [[Film/DoctorStrangeInTheMultiverseOfMadness Chthon, Gargantos]], Lloigoroth, Yog-Sokot, Cthuma-Gurath, or other Marvel-original [[EldritchAbomination Great Old Ones]]
* Amatsu-Mikaboshi, Amaterasu, Susanoo, Tsukuyomi, Inari, Kaminari, or other members of the Amatsu-Kami
** Someone who looks like Mikaboshi's Kami appearance appears on Omnipotence City.
* Chernobog, Perun, and/or other Slavic deities
* Dagon, Imdugud/Pazuzu, Inanna/Ishtar, Marduk, Nergal, and/or other Annunaki (Mesopotamian deities)
* [[ComicBook/SpiderMan Ai Apaec, Anansi, the Other, or another Spider-Totem]]
* [[ComicBook/XMen Sefako the Twice-Risen God]]
* Kly'bn, Sl'gur't, Zorr'Kiri, and the other members of the Skrull Pantheon
* K'ythri, Sharra, Ratha'kon and/or Phal'kon of the Shi'ar Pantheon
* [[ComicBook/DoctorStrange The Vishanti]]
* [[ComicBook/JourneyIntoMysteryGillen Master Wilson of the Manchester Gods]]
* [[ComicBook/TheIncredibleHercules Catastrophobia, Horrorscope, and Cryptomnesia of Uprising Storm]]
* The Dark Gods of Narcisson
* Lạc Long Quân, Sơn Tinh, Thánh Gióng, Liễu Hạnh, and Chử Đồng Tử of Myth/VietnameseMythology
* Tezcatlipoca, Quetzalcoatl, Huitzilopochtli, and Xipe Totec of the Aztec Pantheon
** Thor confirms the second exists.
* Demigoddess Snowbird/Narya and her mother Nelvanna, as well as the rest of the Inuit Pantheon
* Gaea, Oshtur, Set, and Chthon of the Elder Gods

[[WMG:Knull will be mentioned.]]
There'll be a throwaway line that states the Necrosword was forged eons ago by the dark god Knull, which will act as a MythologyGag towards the main Marvel universe and to leave the door open for the King in Black to be introduced later on.

* Jossed.

[[WMG:The film will set up new Creator/DisneyPlus series focusing on Valkyrie and her queen.]]

[[WMG:Thor: Love and Thunder will tie into The Marvels AKA Captain Marvel 2]]
Leaks have suggested that Tessa Thompson will appear as Valkyrie again in the sequel to Captain Marvel.

[[WMG:Jane was dusted in the Blip.]]
In the trailer we have Jane thinking that she and Thor broke up 3-4 years ago, while Thor specifically states 8 years and 7 months. While this could, as has been suggested, be a funny/sad nod to how their relationship meant more to Thor than Jane, the difference between Jane's estimate and Thor's account is around 5 years, suggesting that, perhaps Jane was dusted along with half of the universe, meaning that for her it really has only been 3-4 years.
** [[AllThereInTheManual The script]] for ''Avengers: Endgame'' revealed that Wong, Jane Foster herself, Sif, Shuri, and Thunderbolt Ross were among the snapped by Thanos in ''Avengers: Infinity War'', so the film might indeed openly state it.
*** Wong's death was cut out of the final product. ''Spider-Man: No Way From Home'', reveals that Wong survived the Blip and became the New Sorcerer Supreme. This could mean a potential retcon of Jane being blipped.
** Unclear. Jane doesn't reference her being snapped or surviving the decimation.

[[WMG:Zeus will die.]]
He's a prime candidate to be killed partway through the film [[TheWorfEffect to show that Gorr isn't messing around]], with Crowe's status as a [[DeadStarWalking big-name star]] helping emphasize this. This feels especially likely given that Valkyrie is seen wielding Zeus' thunderbolts against Gorr, suggesting that she might take them after he dies to use as a new weapon.
* This could also introduce Hercules into the MCU, where he seeks vengeance against his father's death.
** Jossed--Zeus seemingly dies at Thor's hands, but survives in the mid-credits scene. Hercules is also introduced as a result, but is charged with making humanity fear and respect the gods once more.

[[WMG: Jane's tenure as the Mighty Thor will be brief]]
With her being terminally ill, she will most likely die, leaving the one true Thor to continue on.
* Potentially implied by Taika Waititi, who commented vaguely about how the film was not about 'passing the torch to Jane'.
* [[spoiler:Confirmed, she dies at the end of the film.]]

[[WMG: Knull and the Symbiotes will appear, they'll just be [[WritingAroundTrademarks written around trademarks.]]]]
Just like how ''Literature/GoblinSlayer'' cleverly got away with including a [[TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons Beholder]] by establishing it as a monster with [[TheScottishTrope an unspeakable name]], to allude to the Necrosword's comic origins while not having to deal with Sony's lawyers, it'll simply be described somewhere along the lines of "It was forged untold eons ago by an Elder God of the abyss, so old and terrible, no one knows his name, to lead his horde of ravenous beasts that corrupted and devoured all they came across."
* Jossed.

[[WMG: Alfheim will finally be visited, if only briefly.]]
Out of the Nine Realms, Alfheim is the only one that has not yet been featured in the MCU films proper.
* Jossed.

[[WMG: The original Thor will eventually be KilledOffForReal.]]
Most likely via HeroicSacrifice; it wouldn't otherwise make sense for there to be two Thors at once.[[note]]As Zordon from ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' once put it, there can't be more than one Ranger of the same color and type of power designation at any given time, hence he even went as far as saying that "too much pink energy is dangerous".[[/note]]
* Jossed.

[[WMG: [[Myth/AkanMythology Anansi]] and [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ai_apaec Ai apaec]] will make a cameo.]]
And they'll reference the fact that in the comics, [[https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Kwaku_Anansi_(Earth-616) Anansi was a Spider-Totem]], as was [[https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Ai_Apaec_(Earth-616) Ai apaec]], connected to [[https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Web_of_Life_and_Destiny the Web of Life and Destiny]], and as such are linked to [[Characters/MCUSpiderMan Peter 1]], [[Characters/SpiderManTrilogySpiderMan Peter 2]], [[Characters/TheAmazingSpiderManSeriesSpiderMan Peter 3]], their [[Characters/SonysSpiderManUniverse variant in Sony's universe]], and possibly [[WesternAnimation/SpiderManIntoTheSpiderVerse Miles, Peter B., Gwen, Peni, Noir, and Ham]].

[[WMG: Sif will be KilledOffForReal early in the film to establish the threat of Gorr.]]
Ala Ratchet in Film/TransformersAgeOfExtinction.
* Mixed. Sif is badly injured, with an arm cut off, as part of Gorr's gambit to get Thor's attention directly, but she survives.

[[WMG:Gorr is hit with something that turns him into his comic appearance]]
Instead of symbiotes it'll be the combined might of Thor, Jane and maybe Valkyrie with the Zeus thunderbolt that [[Film/RevengeOfTheSith disfigure him... with lightning...]]

* Jossed

[[WMG:We'll visit the House of Ideas.]]
In ''ComicBook/AvengersNoRoadHome'', we were introduced to [[{{God}} the One Above All]]'s dominion at the core of all existence, where all of His ideas are born and realized. Whose to say Gorr won't eventually set his sights on the TopGod of all creation? And as a cheeky little treat for dedicated Marvel fans, there'll be references all around to the comics and non-MCU works.
** Bonus poonts if we see The One Above All, and Kevin Feige plays him.
* Jossed.

[[WMG: Brett Goldstein will play Hercules.]]
According to a rumour, the actor and writer Creator/BrettGoldstein, has been cast as Hercules, son of Zeus in the MCU.
* Confirmed--he appears in the end credits scene.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Post-release]]

[[WMG: The two goats weren't a reward]]
The aliens were annoyed at Thor wrecking their temple and gave him the goats they were trying to get rid of because they were annoying.
* Fairly sure this was the intended read of the scene.

[[WMG: Gorr wished his daughter would come back to life with superpowers]]
I can't see how she would have inherited them as Gorr's powers are dependent on him having the Necrosword which he got after she'd died.
It's possible he wished she was alive with superpowers to stop her from getting killed again.
** Or maybe she has the powers as a side effect of being made by Eternity?
** Or Eternity gave her those powers intentionally, because Gorr actually wished for Love to be alive ''and safe'', not just alive. If she's going to grow up with a disaster-magnet like Thor for a daddy, the Big E figured she'll need power like that.

[[WMG: Eternity’s realm is actually The Final World from ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'']]
I half expected Sora to show up there. Worse ways to get Marvel into the franchise…

[[WMG: Eternity's realm is connected to the Soul World]]
Both realms are similar appearing. They both consist of endless water and the sky at different times of day. And both reward the realm opener with a powerful item or wish.

[[WMG: Tony Stark, Natasha Romanov, Prime Timeline Gamora, Loki Prime, Furious Three and other Marvel dead are in Valhalla]]

[[WMG: The name of the daughter]]
The movie doesn’t give a name for her, not even in the credits. But that doesn’t mean she’ll always be nameless, especially if she’s going to play a role in future films. Below are a few suggestions, and anyone is welcome to add their own.

* [[WesternAnimation/NextAvengersHeroesOfTomorrow Torunn]]
* [[DeadGuyJunior Jane]]
* Arra, after Gorr’s wife in the comics.
* Rose
* [[https://www.behindthename.com/element/unna Unna]]
** [[https://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Singularity_(Multiverse) Maybe misspelled as "Una"]]
* [[ComicBook/AgentsOfAtlas Venus]]
* Tarene
* Love, as Korg suggests during the end.
* Thrud, as that was the name of Thor's daughter in the original Norse Mythology.
* Agar, as that was the name of Gorr's child who died and instigated his hatred of gods. Yes, it belonged to his ''son'', but it could be a gender-neutral name on his world for all we know.

[[WMG: The Warriors of Valhalla will be unleashed in an Avengers/Cosmic Level Threat, which is the REAL Ragnarok]]
In Norse Mythology, the warriors of Valhalla are said to be summoned during Ragnarok. In the MCU, Ragnarok seemingly occured, but no fallen Asgardians came to fight during it (unless you count Odin's brief appearance). This could mean that the spirits of Jane, Hemidall, Loki Prime, the Furious Three and other Asgardians may ride into battle during the REAL Ragnarok, which is a Avengers/Cosmic/Multiverse threat. Secret Wars?...

[[WMG: Valkyrie will get a solo project that will explore her love life]]
Her having a romantic interest was teased early on in development and would have made the final cut if they thought it was the end of the road for the series. Once it was decided they would be making more, the plotline was shelved for when it could be given more focus

* This would likely be made into a Disney+ series, so that they could continue Valkyrie’s story without having to make another Thor film so soon.

[[WMG: There will be a TV series focusing on Valhalla]]
The show could show how Jane adjusts to her new life in the afterlife, with Heimdall accompanying her. We could also see the return of the Warriors Three. The villains could be the Queen of Angels and her army, incorporating elements from Heven in the comics into the MCU's own Valhalla--and by extension, [[ComicBook/AngelaAsgardsAssassin Angela]] could be introduced to the MCU as well.

[[WMG: After much build up, Thor and Sif wil become a couple in future movies.]]
In the comics (and Norse Mythology) Thor and Sif have been romantically involved. In the MCU, Sif has had a long kept secret crush on Thor, since 2011's Film/{{Thor}}. With Sif returning to live her fellow Asgardians by the end of ''Love and Thunder'', and [[spoiler: Jane's death]], the MCU may be setting up Sif finally admitting her feelings to Thor.

[[WMG: The Necrosword was responsible for the death of Gorr's people]]
Rapu by all appearances is a god related to harvest and water. Assuming Gorr's world is naturally prone to desertification, Rapu may have been the only thing keeping the ecosystem from collapsing; the Snap likely exacerbated this on an already marginally habitable world. When the Necrosword's previous wielder started hunting Rapu, the god was too preoccupied saving his own life to continue managing the realm. Without his power, the biosphere and hydrosphere collapsed and took Gorr's people with them.

[[WMG: The Mighty Thor will be featured in the next play from the Asgardian acting troop.]]
And she'll be played by Creator/KeiraKnightley.
* That wouldn't be [[Film/ThePhantomMenace the first time]] she doubled for Portman.
* Or she’ll be played by Creator/DaisyRidley

[[WMG: Some of the cut content included finding the location of Eternity]]
As noted on the Headscratcher page, it's odd that something as incredibly powerful as Eternity was never sought out either by Thanos or to undo the Snap. The cut content apparently included several worlds; it's possible some were visited specifically to learn Eternity's location which was unknown previously.

[[WMG: A future installment could have Thor overthrow Zeus and become the new leader of the Gods.]]
Since many of the more benevolent/proactive gods were probably killed in Gorr's rampage while trying to protect their people, Thor will encourage the remaining gods to go out and start helping people again and gain worshipers that way instead of just sitting back and demanding sacrifices. He could also raise a new generation of gods with his daughter and the Asgardian children.

[[WMG: Mortal souls and the afterlife.]]
Rapu tells Gorr that there's no reward for him waiting after death, but it's shown that there is an active afterlife in other religions like the Egyptian and Norse ones. It's possible that the gods/pantheons have the power to carve out a place for the mortal souls that worshipped them to inhabit after they pass on, and only truly amoral deities like Rapu don't bother to do so and let the souls of their worshippers languish in limbo instead. Rapu could have created the paradise he promised his followers but he was too lazy and arrogant to provide it for them.
* Alternately, maybe there's a generic "default" afterlife that Rapu simply didn't know about, as he was a lazy jerk who didn't value mortals enough to have bothered to look into the matter.

[[WMG: Zeus was legitimately dead, but his brother Hades refused him entry to the underworld.]]
Since Hades has actual work to do as ruler of the underworld, he had neither the time nor the inclination to deal with Zeus' egotistical grandstanding, so he immediately booted Zeus back to the realm of the living.

[[WMG: Thor was lying to Sif about how Valhalla works.]]
Thor tells her that she'd have to die *in* the battle for her to qualify for the warriors' paradise; but Jane turning up there at the end shows this to not be true. Thor just told Sif that because he didn't want her to just lay down and die right there.
** Alternately, Thor was right but the situations are different. Jane suffered a mortal injury in the battle and died afterward as a direct result of the battle, making it a warrior's death. Sif wasn't mortally injured; lying there until she bled to death when she could live to fight another day isn't how a warrior dies.
** It is ''not'' pain that earns you a place in Valhalla, but ''heroism.'' Jane's final moments were a gentle and peaceful end in the arms of the one she loved; it was her kind-and-unselfish ''courage,'' being willing to lay down ''her own life'' to protect the lives of innocent children, that deemed her to be a True Hero by the divine morality of Valhalla. Jane may not have been "worthy" as an Asgardian by birth, but just like her love in the Nevada Deserts 10 years ago, she ultimately ''earned'' her seat at the Hall of Heroes through Kindness and Compassion, not wrath.

[[WMG: Lena Heady’s cut role]]
* Hera- She's famously played a similar role and the movie is all about gods so it seems natural.
* Valkyrie's love interest, whoever that was.

[[WMG: A famous comic panel will be recreated in Thor 5]]
* Specifically, [[https://external-preview.redd.it/QVHDaDhMjBB-SOANoKopXHslt8glIyshjoC5mdM4FVE.jpg?width=640&crop=smart&auto=webp&s=2c183ad2a4fca1df93be222d7ebd48a99a5868b9 this one]].

[[WMG: Jane will become a Valkyrie]]
and will lead a new group of Valkyries.
* She’s a bit too dead for that. Unless there’s a Valhalla branch? But the other Valkyries are already there, most likely.

[[WMG: Hercules understands what Zeus wants him to do, but he's going to take his sweet time]]
Instead of actively pursuing Thor through the cosmos, he'll go to Earth and wait for him to show up there again. While Zeus will be fine with this since he wants Thor's defeat to actually be witnessed by humanity and the Asgardians, what he ''won't'' be fond of is how Hercules spends his time waiting; Goofing off and adventuring with his newfound friend Amadeus Cho.
* And while he's waiting, he'll fight some people that are stirring up trouble, just to stay in practice. And he'll find that by actually helping people, he will get the adolation Zues is looking for, and he will turn in to more of a heroic figure.

[[WMG: Omnipotence City will send the Universal God Police after Thor and co.]]
Thor outright states that after assaulting Zeus, Omnipotence City will hunt Thor, Valkyrie, Jane (who doesn't have to worry about that anymore), and Korg, possibly for the rest of their lives. It's possible Hercules wasn't the only one Zeus sent after Thor, and what amounts to a divine SWAT team was formed to hunt him down if Herc is taken out or backs out. Since Omnipotence City is corrupt to (literally) high heaven, the God Police will be likewise incredibly corrupt and be [[RealitySubtext exceedingly brutal in their goals.]]

[[WMG: Jane's Cancer was caused by having the Reality Stone Forced into her body in ''Thor The Dark World'']]
Note how Stark and Banner stated that the combined might of the Infinity Stones is literally ''"enough radiation to power a '''continent."''''' Even Thanos was severely and irreperably scarred and maimed with each outburst of said radiation. Now, consider the frail, ''mere mortal'' frame of a young college graduate like Jane Foster, who, although only held ''a sixth'' of said stones in her body in ''Dark World'', was still explicitly ''dying'' from enough radiation that could presumably power a ''city'' coursing in her body throughout the film. Even after the fact of having it removed, the damage to her body on a cellular, and worse yet genetic level, would have already been irreparable, which her maternal-lineage's history of cancer would only exacerbate.

[[WMG: The god of carpentry mentioned isn't Jesus]]
Not only does Omnipotence City seem like a place he'd hate to be, but Jesus never considered himself a god. They probably mean some other obscure god.
** This could be a weird description of Hephaestus.
** Or Lu Ban or Ninildu ... assuming the god in question is even from Earth.

[[WMG: Korg was the one who proposed the "Infinity Cones" Icecream Store]]
Because as goofy, funny and yes ''lovable'' though he may be, ''only'' a {{Cloudcuckoolander}} like Korg (and likely Miek) would be blockheaded enough to ''not'' realize how monumentally '''tasteless''' (pun intended) it is to make ''family-dessert merchandising'' out of such a cataclysmic ''genocidal'' tragedy like The Snap that (literally) half the tourists would have likely been ''traumatized'' by. New Asgard must have been ''really'' strapped for cash for King Valkyrie to sign the approval papers for ''such'' a numbskulled idea.

[[WMG: King Valkyrie was the one who proposed the "Infinity Cones" Icecream Store]]
King Valkyrie wanted to make Thanos and his EvilPlan look ridiculous as part of a larger plan to shame his memory and legacy. It's similar to why Mel Brooks does his best to make Adolf Hitler look like a fool in his films. For all we know, there is a play in New Asgard that commemorates Thor slicing Thanos's chest (and, yes, mentioning that he "should have gone for the head"), and the store itself might spread the story of how Thor and his buddies reversed the Snap and then kicked Thanos's ass.

In short, it a symbolic victory-over-Thanos trophy that can also bring in tourist money for the community.

[[WMG:Eternity is a BenevolentGenie]]
An explanation for Love having superpowers could be that he gives people a better version of what they wish for or he thinks of everything that could go wrong with their wish and doesn't see the point of bringing Love back defenseless if she's only going to get killed again.

[[WMG:Love will be important going forward.]]
Her reflection after being resurrected shows her with a CelestialBody like Eternity, implying she was infused some of his powers and is the MCU's [[https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Singularity_(Multiverse) Singularity]]. Because of her ties to the AnthropomorphicPersonification of the universe itself, and because this current saga seems to be exploring the Multiverse, future writers can devise all sorts of ways she's important.

[[WMG: Gorr's Necrosword and Hela's are the same weapon.]]
Given how easily and rapidly it'd evidently been mowing down gods in Gorr's hands, in the early part of the film, it seems hard to believe that there'd be many divine beings ''left'' in the universe if it'd been slaughtering them in one bearer's hands after another, all this time. More likely, Hela got ahold of the thing a few thousand years ago, shortly before Odin banished her ''and'' it. This kept the evil artifact out of circulation until ''Thor: Ragnarok'', in the wake of which the Necrosword survived Asgard's destruction and was claimed by the ebon-skinned creature Rapu killed.

[[WMG: Gorr will have a series on Disney+ detailing his battles (and butcheries) of some of the gods he encountered]]
A major criticism of the film was how Gorr was [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter vastly underutilized]]. Not only that, but he was only seen killing one god onscreen, [[TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot with countless others being murdered offscreen]]. A Disney+ series could rectify those complaints, allowing fans to see Gorr live up to his title, and possibly even set up future events to come in the MCU.

[[WMG: Others in Valhalla]]
We already saw Jane and Heimdall in Valhalla, so let's list the others:
* Loki because he died defying Thanos just like Heimdall.
* The rest of the Valkyries, which is ironic considering they're supposed to ''take'' people to Valhalla in the myths.
* Skurge, who died fighting off Hela's warriors.
* The Warriors Three. While Fandral and Hogun died fighting Hela, with Volstagg there's a gray area as he didn't so much as charge or raise his weapon before Hela skewered him, but he did pick up his weapon when he saw her arrive and his tone of voice made it clear he was going to fight, so that may have been "battle" enough for Valhalla.
* The Einherjar Hela massacred.
* Frigga because she died defying Malekith.
* Odin through a technicality, since he spent an unknown amount of millennia fighting through his power to keep Hela at bay.
* On an uglier note, it's entirely possible that '''Hela''' wound up there also, given how she perished while defiantly battling Surtur. Nothing in ''Love And Thunder'' suggested an Asgardian had to die fighting ''for a good cause'' to go there, after all...

[[WMG: Jane Foster's final catchphrase was...]]
* "Love and Thunder!" It makes a lot of sense considering her ruminations on ThePowerOfLove throughout the movie, it would explain why Thor chose that as his adopted daughter's name, and it would add another layer to the title.
* "Have at thee!" One of the original Thor's comics catchphrases, and maybe she added the YeOldeButcheredEnglish for her own amusement.

[[WMG: Korg was adopted as a child on Sakaar.]]
In ''Ragnarok'', he mentions his mother and her new boyfriend were the only ones who showed up for his rebellion. In this movie, he says he has two dads. Given that Sakaar tends to be a place people end up in by accident, it's entirely plausible he wound up there from his homeworld and was adopted by one of its inhabitants.

[[WMG: Ra's absence in the film...]]
Ra (as well as most of, if not the entire Egyptian Pantheon) was absent because he was either [[Series/MoonKnight2022 sealed away via turned into a stone statue]] or is active enough in caring about humanity that he was never there that day.

[[WMG: If Love meets Loki L1130 and Sylvie...]]
...because she calls Thor [[HonoraryUncle "Uncle Thor"]], she'll call them "Uncle Loki" and "Aunt Sylvie".

[[WMG: Thor was messing with Quill in their parting scene at the start of the film.]]
Thor - despite being kind of a goof and full of bluster and quick assumptions - has been shown to be fairly observant when he wants to be, and actually as intelligent as you'd expect the former Prince/King of Asgard to be. Thus, after a couple of years of travelling together, he ''absolutely'' knows the ship is Quill's and he's not really "giving him it". Same for his role with the Guardians. It seems more likely that its calling back to the way they met, Thor choosing to have one last chuckle at/with Quill before they part ways.

[[folder: Sequel Theories]]
[[WMG: A film or series will focus on Love]]
Now that Thor adopted Love, is is likely possible that there would be either a film or series focusing on her life with him, including adventures.

[[WMG: A fifth ''Thor'' film will take the series in a new direction that's deliberately divergent from what came before]]

[[WMG: Thor will briefly clash with Hercules, only to eventually befriend each other.]]
They could then team up and fight Zeus (or whoever the film’s antagonist is) together. Hercules could even become an HonoraryUncle to Thor’s daughter.

[[WMG: Thor will visit Valhalla in the sequel.]]
Albeit via a method that doesn’t involve death.

[[WMG: The sequel will have a somewhat noticeable shift in tone.]]
Since one of the main criticisms of ''Love and Thunder'' is the contrast between the serious and comedic scenes, the next film will likely try to aim for a more consistent tone. Whether they lean more towards serious or comedic is up to the creators.

[[WMG:Thor 5 will focus on a group of teenage superheroes]]
The ending sets this up with Love fighting alongside Thor and the Asgard kids getting combat training.
They'll probably be teenagers by the time Thor 5 rolls around.

[[WMG:Thor will adopt Jane’s mysterious catchphrase in the sequel.]]
In this case, it would be to honor her memory. It would also be a way to reveal what it was, instead of [[RiddleForTheAges leaving it unanswered]].

[[WMG:Thor will be, for lack of a better term, wiser in the sequel.]]
Thor’s apparent immaturity in ''Love and Thunder'' was a frequent criticism among detractors of the film. To address this, the next film (or whatever work Thor appears in next) will make him a bit smarter or more mature while still retaining his sense of humor (especially if Waititi is the director). It could even be justified as Thor having to get his act together now that he has a daughter to take care of.
