''Surround'', one of the Platform/{{Atari 2600}}'s launch titles, is 14 variations of the arcade game ''VideoGame/{{Blockade}}'', the two player ancestor of ''VideoGame/{{Snake}}''. As with these games, the players each control a marker that leaves behind trails that they use to force the other player to crash into while avoiding the trails of the opposing player or the arena walls (except in games 8 to 12).

The game consists of 14 game variations: games 1 to 12 are the basic Surround game while games 13 and 14 are the Video Graffiti games where you can create your own drawings with the marker trails.

!!''Surround'' provides examples of:
* CollisionDamage: Collision with a wall, whether generated by you or your opponent.
* ColorCodedMultiplayer: The main distinguishing trait between the two players are the colors of their markers and trails.
* MazeGame: Where you and your opponent ''create'' the maze.
* NoPlotNoProblem: Indeed, the game lacks any plot of sorts--just play the game for the game's sake. After all, it's an Atari 2600 launch title, so it'd be more surprising if it ''did''.
* PlayerVersusPlayer: Games 1, 3, and 5-12 are primarily two-player games where the players are pitted against each other.
* ScoringPoints: First player to score 10 points wins.
* TopDownView: As is standard for Snake-like games.
* WrapAround: Games 8-14 have arenas where your marker can go off one side of the screen and appear on the other side.
