''Dark Dot'' is a unique Shoot 'Em Up game on mobile by Inzen Games, released in 2011.

The story revolves around the Darkest of Terrors, or D.O.T., a mysterious warlord hell-bent on conquering the land of the Elementals, which come in a wide variety of ElementalPowers opposing him and his army of Darklets under the command of the mysterious force of darkness, Dominus Dark. However, as time goes on, the D.O.T. begins to discover clues about his identity: and a past that he shared with the Greater Elementals he is ordered to oppose.

-------
!!Contains the following tropes:
* AnimatingArtifact: The Elemateria are purple crystals that D.O.T. can use to create new Darklets. If D.O.T. is defeated the darklets turn back into Elemateria.
* ArbitraryHeadcountLimit: A maximum of twelve Darklets per team, and can be shuffled around to make each team stronger in one element or another.
* BigBad: Dominus Dark.
* BittersweetEnding: [[spoiler: D.O.T. finally regains his memories and exposes Dominus Dark's deceit, defeating him for good. However, as he begins to turn back into a Light elemental the Darklets begin to fade away, and so he consumes Dominus Dark's essence to restore his army, becomes a Dark elemental permanently, and continues his war against the Flame he had been chasing since the start.]]
* BlowYouAway: The Cyclone King and the Air elementals.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Implied to have been done to D.O.T. courtesy of Dominus Dark. [[spoiler: The memories reveal he was once a Light elemental turned to darkness by Dominus Dark's power.]]
* CallThatAFormation: The Darklets can be arranged in gameplay to navigate mazes, concentrate firepower, and cover Aether Chargers, to varying effectiveness based on how the player draws it.
* ChekhovsGunman: The Flame that D.O.T. chases, who appears repeatedly throughout the story.
* ColorCodedElements: The usual of Fire being Red, Water being blue and Lightning being yellow, though Mud is portrayed as green and Magma orange. Dark itself is represented by deep purple.
* CreatingLife: D.O.T. has the power to create new Darklets from Elemateria, a purple crystal dropped by defeated enemies.
* CuteIsEvil: D.O.T. and his Darklets certainly qualify.
* DarkIsEvil: Played straight with Dominus Dark and D.O.T. himself.
* DeadpanSnarker: Electric Emperor makes fun of D.O.T.'s short legs and diminutive size, which only pisses him off even more.
* DishingOutDirt: Richter Elf and the Earth Elementals.
* EatingTheEnemy: [[spoiler: D.O.T. eats Dominus Dark after his final defeat, absorbing his powers for good and becoming the new leader of the Dark Elementals.]]
* ElementalPowers: Basically the overall concept of the game, where the Darklets battle classical elementals of Fire, Earth, Air and Water. Interestingly, there are also elementals based on mixes of two elements: Magma (Fire + Earth), Mud (Earth + Water), Lightning (Fire + Air) and Ice (Air + Water).
* ElementalRockPaperScissors: Each element is weak against its opposite element and takes more damage to it when used by the Darklets.
* FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler: D.O.T. once was a Light elemental turned to darkness by Dominus Dark. In the end, he rejects his return to light and becomes a Dark elemental permanently after literally swallowing Dominus Dark,]]
* FusionDance: Leveling up Darklets is done by merging them with other Darklets to gain XP and become more damaging in attacks.
* GlassCannon: The Darklets can dish out lots of damage but only have one hit point each, with a team of twelve Darklets basically being the player's health limit.
* HulkSpeak: Volcanicus talks this way. Subverted in that he's just being condescending to D.O.T.
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: All of the Greater Elementals when fighting D.O.T. [[spoiler: reminding him of his former nature as a Light elemental.]]
* KeystoneArmy: [[spoiler: When Dominus Dark is defeated D.O.T. turns back into a Light elemental...and the Darklets begin to turn back into Elemateria. However, D.O.T. consumes Dominus Dark's power, permanently becoming a Dark Elemental and restoring all the Darklets.]]
* KillerRabbit: The Darklets may be cute, but they are no less lethal in combat, acquiring a range of elemental powers to use to decimate their foes.
* TheNapoleon: D.O.T. is a brutal warlord laying waste to the elemental kingdom...and he also happens to be a RidiculouslyCuteCritter whom nobody seems to take seriously.
* MeaningfulName: The Ice elemental boss, Fimbulwinter, is named after the great winter preceeding Ragnarok in Norse mythology.
* NiceGuy: The Cyclone King is surprisingly kind to the D.O.T. and tries to be reasonable to him, even expressing regret at having to hurt him when he's finally pressured to violence.
* LargeAndInCharge: Each of the Elementals is led by a Greater Elemental, who also serves as a boss:
** The Cyclone King for the Air Elementals
** Fimbulwinter for the Ice Elementals
** Maestra Maelstrom for the Water Elementals
** Lord Landslide for the Mud Elementals
** Richter Elf for the Earth Elementals
** Volcanicus for the Magma Elementals
** Queenferno for the Fire Elementals
** Electric Emperor for the Lightning Elementals
** Dominus Dark for the Dark Elementals
* LethalLavaLand: Volcanicus's domain.
* MagmaMan: Volcanicus and the Magma elementals.
* MakingASplash: Maestra Maelstrom and the Water elementals.
* RedemptionRejection: [[spoiler: After Dominus Dark is defeated D.O.T. begins to turn back into a Light elemental, but as he does so he sees his Darklets slowly begin to turn back into Elemateria, so he consumes Dominus Dark's essence to become a Dark elemental again, restoring the Darklets and continuing the war with the elementals.]]
