Being made several years after the original, it is very noticeably more focused and unique. Unlike the last game, [[CerebusSyndrome which developed a plot partway through]], this one [[NoPlotNoProblem is more of a carefree romp]].

4Although the technical end of the game can be reached quite easily, the [[HundredPercentCompletion true point of the game is to find every little heart, upgrade and boss you can.]]

8* BlobMonster: Jellyboy and the vendor of the Jelly Map upgrade are both made of orange goop.
9* CollectionSidequest: The butterfly collection quest in the Dot zone, unlocked after getting the car in that area open.
10* CouchGag: The game shows a different loading and intro screen each time it's booted up.
11* GainaxEnding: After our protagonist heads through the gauntlet of the Final zone, [[spoiler:they enter The Meadow, a relatively peaceful area with a heart to grab. In doing so, they cause flowers to bloom and sweet music to play. However, soon after the bed explodes and traps our hero within. As the meadow fades, the music speeds up and the protagonist falls to the bottom of the screen before everything fades to blue.]] Roll credits!
12* GameBreakingBug: In the fight against Jellyboy in v1.08, shooting at the small floor-sliding globs he summons would cause the game to crash. The bug has been fixed as of v1.09.
13* GratuitousJapanese: Fail the Red Light Green Light minigame in the Dot zone dream and the game will call you a "UsefulNotes/{{BAKA}}".
14* GuideDangIt: The puzzle in the Dot zone if you don't know modular arithmetic. [[spoiler:The answer is 115, by the way, in case you're stumped.]]
15** The heart in the Stone area after obtaining the Cool Boots.
16* ImprobableWeaponUser: The protagonist can find a knit stocking and wield it like a gun, complete with ammo.
17* ItsAllAboutMe: The boss of the Cave, Jellyboy, is a crybaby who attacks people while wondering why nobody loves him.
18* KingMook: Papa is a ''big'' urchin. However, just like some of his kin he is also susceptible to the Stench.
19* LastLousyPoint: The heart obtained in the balloon-popping segment in the Final zone. [[spoiler:Not only do you have a strict time limit but also spikes and balloons that require use of the Stocking. Good reflexes are a must!]]
20* {{Leitmotif}}: All the bosses get a variation of the same tune -- titled "[[AllLowercaseLetters [something]core bosscore]]" -- for their battles.
21* LettingTheAirOutOfTheBand: The boss music screeches to a halt after Jellyboy is defeated. The music also slows down in two other areas: the bottom right corner of the map (in the Rain zone) and the bed that leads to [[spoiler:the Meadow]] (in the Final zone). {{Inverted|Trope}} in the GainaxEnding (see above).

28* OneTimeDungeon: The dream areas that are found in each zone (including the intro) by sleeping in a bed. Once you grab the {{Heart Container}} and leave, the beds inside the dreams will explode.
29* PaletteSwap: Duke (in the Kiss zone) is this to Puke from the Plant zone. However, the former requires use of the Stocking to defeat them.
30* SpikesOfDoom: There are a few spikes throughout the game. Landing on them causes blood to splatter onto them.
31* TheSpiny: Urchins. Specifically, there are three types:
32** Regular urchins, which can be disposed of with the Stocking and Cherry Bombs;
33** Nosed urchins, which are weak to the Stench (though visually they were identical to the regular kind until v1.09), and;
34** Shiny blue urchins, which are [[EliteMook immune to all attacks and deal far more damage than the other types]]. However, the Cool Boots allow you to stand and WallJump on them.
35* StrangeSyntaxSpeaker: The people of the Town. Especially the Blind Prophet.
36* StylisticSuck: Similarly to ''VideoGame/{{Crazd}}'', the graphics are simplistic and chaotic.
37* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel[[invoked]]: WordOfGod considers this game superior to its [[OldShame predecessor]] ''VideoGame/{{Crazd}}''.
38* VerbalTic: The Blind Prophet always ends his sentences with a double exclamation mark!!
39* TheVeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon: The Final zone is an understated version, only consisting of a few puzzles to get hearts and ending in a bed that leads to [[spoiler:the Meadow]].
40* WallJump: The Banner powerup allows this.
