1	* BadExportForYou: The series has finally been given an R1 DVD release, however, the recaps, eyecatches and previews are all missing, and the subtitles have typos, missing words, and even the "wrong" names for the characters (e.g., "Double Convoy" is referred to in the subtitles as "Rodimus Prime" despite clearly hearing the other name)[[note]]They're only "wrong" in the sense that they're not the names actually heard in the show, those are Hasbro's official names for the characters in North America and elsewhere[[/note]].
2	* ExiledFromContinuity: Omega Supreme and Sky Lynx don't appear in this series at all. This is because their toys were designed by Toybox[[labelnote:*]]who further outsourced the designs to Tomy, who would merge with Takara almost two decades later[[/labelnote]], then-rival to Takara (The company responsible for the Diaclone toys the original Transformer characters were based on), who didn't want the competition's creations in the show.
3	* NoDubForYou: The original English dub was produced for Asian markets to watch by Omni Productions (infamous as the studio behind the Toho-produced "International Dub" versions of ''Franchise/{{Godzilla}}'' films, ''Film/RikiOhTheStoryOfRicky'', and a litany of Godfrey Ho movies), and is only watched nowadays to make fun of it because it's SoBadItsGood. Never mind the translation being bad; even the voice actors are terrible - and not just terrible choices but terrible at their job too, and most of them don't sound even ''remotely'' like the original voice actors - for example, you can't have the noble Optimus Prime sounding like a soft-voiced college kid; admittedly, there's only one Creator/PeterCullen, but it's obvious that no one on either side of the microphone cared in the slightest. It's never been officially confirmed, but suspicion is that Hasbro doesn't find the atrociously poor dub to be nearly as funny as the fandom does, and thus refused to license it for the Shout Factory [=DVDs=] because they believe it to be such a poor representation of the show and the franchise in general.
4	* OutOfOrder: Out of the dubbing of the three shows, "Headmasters" turns out to be the last one Omni dubbed, as there's hardly that much swearing compare to the later entries.
5	* PopCultureUrbanLegends: One floating around, even mentioned in the liner notes of the Pioneer DVD releases, is that the early Headmasters episodes were based on unused scripts from the cancelled American cartoon. These scripts and their content have never been found.
6	* TheOtherDarrin:
7	** Because this was actually the last show to be dubbed, Chromedome is actually played by a different actor than who originally played him in the next show.
8	** This is also the case with the original Japanese voice cast, as many of the characters end up being recast from the dub of the cartoon. Scourge and Cyclonus in particular go from being voiced by Yu Shimaka and Creator/MinoruInaba, to Creator/MasaharuSato and Creator/TomomichiNishimura (who also replaces Inaba as Predaking), respectively. When it came time to dub [[WesternAnimation/TheTransformersTheMovie the movie]], many of these recasts were reverted back to the cartoon dub voices.
9	* WhatCouldHaveBeen: An adult version of Chip Chase (Spike's handicapped best friend from the first two seasons of the American cartoon) was planned to appear in the first episode. The show staff even got as far as [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:Ark_II_Chip_Chase.jpg making concept art for him]] before ultimately scrapping him.
10	* YouSoundFamiliar: The Latin American dub was recorded at the same studio that dubbed the original series and the 1986 movie, but NONE of the original actors reprise their roles. Some of them did work on the dub, but as different characters (Most notably Roberto Alexander, who voiced Bumblebee in the original show, was the voice of Optimus Prime in Headmasters)
