* ActingForTwo: ''Every'' actor outside of the main duo played more than one role. Norma Ronald played nearly every woman role and John Graham played nearly every non-major male role.
* CompletelyDifferentTitle: Both the Swedish and the Finnish versions were called roughly "The Bowler and the Brolly" ("I plommonstop och paraply" and "Knalli ja sateenvarjo" respectively).
* TheDanza:
** Richard Murdoch's Richard Lamb and Deryck Guyler's Deryck Lennox-Brown.
** Kenneth Horne and Sam Costa guest star in Series 4 episode "Four Men in a Wellington" as colonel Horne and private Costa.
* HeAlsoDid: The Finnish dub had a limited - although not small - the amount of voice actors at its disposal, so pretty common to hear the same people in multiple roles. Since the group who translated it also did most other Finnish audio shows at the time, it's not hard to bump into the same actors in other series.
* MissingEpisode: Several episodes from the original run are completely lost, partially lost, or only exist in low-quality recordings. The Finnish version at least has all episodes intact...
** KeepCirculatingTheTapes: ...However, only 70 of the 170 episodes have been officially released.
* RecastAsARegular: In the Finnish version both Heikki Nousiainen and Creator/AnttiPaakkonen had several minor roles in multiple episodes before being cast as Lennox-Brown and Sir Clive, respectively.
* RecycledScript: This became very frequent in the later series, where only the names and/or places and assignments were changed. Examples include "Oil Well that Ends Well" and "All that Glitters" (an oil/gold deposit is "found" from Hyde Park) as well as "How Now Brown Cow?" and "Ballet Nuisance" (a cow/pig is mistaken for a foreign person).
** Ultimate example occurred in the Finnish run: one episode, "The Ship That Wagged Its Tail" was accidentally translated ''twice'', in 1980 and 1997, and the mistake was noticed only after the broadcast.
* WrittenByCastMember: John Graham, who co-wrote all the episodes after Series 4 with Edward Taylor, also played most of the recurring side-characters such as Lord Stilton and Mr. Crawley.
