* ActingForTwo: Creator/KateHiggins is one of, if not the only person (in either language) to play two party members in a single Tales game who are in no way meaningfully related. Though these two roles are seperated by a TimeSkip.
* ActorAllusion: Veigue asks to find the sword Requiem, which looks like the 2P version of Siegfried's weapon. Both are voiced by Creator/NobuyukiHiyama in Japanese.
** Asbel has two allusions to his Japanese voice actor, Creator/TakahiroSakurai in the re-release: a crossover DLC costume that alludes to Haseo and another that alludes to Suzaku Kururugi.
* LimitedSpecialCollectorsUltimateEdition: The European Day One Edition came with some rather nice and shiny bonusesa DVD containing an interview with Hideo Baba, the OST, an artbook and a code for the VideoGame/TalesOfDestiny costumes to make up for the late release.
* MarthDebutedInSmashBros:
** Veigue, Kohak (Amber), and Reala (Unless you count the ShoutOut in VideoGame/TalesOfTheAbyss) cameoed as bonus bosses in this game.
*** Hilariously enough, in America, the trophy for beating Veigue, Amber, and Reala is a reference to the fact that this is their first stateside appearance; it's titled "Who Were Those Guys, Again?"
** Plenty of characters from the VideoGame/TalesSeries whose games never got localized have appeared in the form of cartas; examples include characters from VideoGame/TalesOfDestiny2, VideoGame/TalesOfRebirth, VideoGame/TalesOfInnocence, VideoGame/TalesOfHearts (this one would get a re-release in 2014), VideoGame/TalesOfTheTempest, and even Patty was this at the time.
** Given that the [=PS3=] version of VideoGame/TalesOfVesperia wasn't released internationally until 2019 , some of its content ended up debuting in Graces ƒ first:
*** Sophie gets a Patty cameo costume (and not as a DLC outfit, it's unlockable within the game), as well as the battle theme that plays while using it (known as Lost Memories) that's used the Cursed Wanderer's/ boss fight.
*** Buying Malik's Raven DLC costume also gets you Yeager's boss theme (known as Leviathan's Claw).
* NoExportForYou: The original game for the Wii never got localized, but strangely, the UpdatedRerelease for the Platform/PS3 came to both the US and Europe. Probably due to the Wii version shipping with a GameBreakingBug.
* RemadeForTheExport: The [=PS3=] port was what got localized.
* ShoutOut: You can find an accesory for Sophie called the Moon Anklet, whose description notes "It would look great paired with a sailor-suit school uniform."
* StarMakingRole: For many Westerners this game was the first time that they heard Creator/BrycePapenbrook and Creator/CassandraLeeMorris in leading roles (though both voice actors did have extensive work beforehand). From this game onward it became more common to see both voice actors in leading anime and J-game roles.
