2	** Seiji's actor, Keiji Takamine said that his favorite monster (or rather, Choju) is Verokron.
3	** Yoshio Suzuki, who serves as modeler and set designer for the series and created designs for most of the Choju, claims that his favourite Choju design was Ace Killer.

The Toku genre was aiming more towards kids since anime started taking viewership of the older audiences as such it was demanded to make the series more marketable. The show started to be geared to a younger audience and stuff like Minami being co-host to Ace was written out.

13	** Muruchi's brief reappearance in the Alien Metron-Doragory two-parter used the original Muruchi suit from ''Series/ReturnOfUltraman'', which is rather obvious from the decayed quality of the suit. In fact, the reason why the producers decided to have Doragory tear Muruchi into pieces was to dispose the badly damaged costume.
14	** Velokron's reappearance is not reused from the original suit, but simply a modified version of Machless, hence the completely different look.
15	** The Aribunta suit was later remodified into Hotarunga. It makes sense, considering they're both based on insects (army ants and fireflies, respectively).
16	** Zaigon's outfit was later remodified into Hanzagiran, although this time it looks less obvious due to the latter having scaly skin, back spikes and a whole new coat of dark green paint.
17	** Kaimanda was recycled into Gasegon, with a whole new head, arms and tails to match.

19	** Sabotendar was remade into Mazarius, Daidarahoshi became Signalion, and Red Jack was turned into Dreamgillas.

21	** The Mt. Fuji backdrop seen during Ultraman Ace's battle with Vakishim in Episode 3 (and later against Coakes in episode 32) is the same one used in the climactic battle at the end of ''Film/DestroyAllMonsters'' between King Ghidorah and all the other Toho kaiju.
22	** The underground lair of Giron Man and Aribunta appears to be recycled into the interiors of a volcano in the episode featuring Lunatyx, heavily-disguised with a lot of orange lighting and fake lava.

24	** Ace was originally designed rather androgynously, with feminine features on the facial area and longer "hair" parts, with a gladiator breastplate on the upper torso. However this design was abandoned. However, a more angelic version of Ace features in ''Ultraman: Another Genesis'', and actually stars as a Goddess.
25	** Yapool's original concept art, as designed by Akihiko Iguchi, is even weirder than the one from the final product. Iguchi initially envisions Yapool as another StarfishAlien based on lionfishes to be portrayed via puppetry, looking ''nothing'' like the Yapool fans are familiar with ([[https://kaijukompendium.design.blog/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/screen-shot-2022-07-04-at-1.35.19-am.png Iguchi's proposed sketch]]).
26	** Muruchi's role in the Episode 7 and 8 two-parter was originally meant for another kaiju from ''Series/ReturnOfUltraman'', Seagorath.
27	** The show was originally going to bring all of Creator/TsuburayaProductions heroes into one universe by having all of them work for "[[TheFederation the Galactic Federation]]" but this idea was abandoned. The series' theme song still references this concept by mentioning the idea of a Galactic Federation.
28	** In the series' first episode, Velokron was originally going to attack Hiroshima, but due to the city still being in a sensitive state to the atomic bombing from World War II, the set was changed to resemble Fukuyama City.
29	** Many, many, many chojus from the developmental stages looked strikingly different than those depicted in the final product, as seen in the [[https://chernobog13.tumblr.com/tagged/Choju behind-the-scenes sketches from Tsuburaya's concept artbook]]. Notably Gasegon would have larger and puffier cheeks, Coakes had a single green visor-like Cyclopean eye, Bad Balloon's snout would've been ''much'' longer than the version in the show (imagine an elephant's trunk), Fubugirara would've fought Ace using a tree as an ImprovisedWeapon (this idea would be recycled later on when Ace fights Daidarahoshi), Garan and Alien Fire are skinnier compared to their onscreen versions, and most jarring of all, one of the chojus appearing in the artbook - a kappa-like monster - never made it into the show proper. (Although it can be assumed that the kappa monster was ultimately replaced by Dreamgillas, due to Tsuburaya recycling the Red Jack suit and the battle being in a lake arena, a setting usually associated with kappa.)
30	** The titular Ultra himself looks pretty... odd in his [[https://ultrablogdx.files.wordpress.com/2019/01/201811281.png initial draft]]. It seems like the original design for Ace is a combination of Series/{{Ultraseven}} and [[Series/ReturnOfUltraman Ultraman Jack]] before he gets retooled.
