* ''Manga/SevenSeeds'': Fujiko and Chisa become shippers for Hana and Aramaki during the Mountain/Ocean arc, trying to get those two to be together (alone) as much as possible, despite Hana being in a relationship, Aramaki knowing this and finding her boyfriend is one of Hana's big goals in the story.
* ''Manga/The100GirlfriendsWhoReallyReallyReallyReallyReallyLoveYou'': Rentarou's Uncle Hiro is probably the most extreme example of this - he's been devoted to the idea of Rentarou and Chiyo getting together since Chiyo was ''born''.
* ''Manga/AhMyGoddess'':
** Urd ships Keiichi×Belldandy and frequently tries to meddle in their relationship to advance it, in contrast with her younger sister Skuld who is actively ''anti-''Keiichi×Belldandy.
** Megumi, Keiichi's younger sister, and Peorth, a wish-granting goddess like Belldandy (except she specializes in one's [[AuthorAppeal deepest, darkest desires]]) also make efforts to bring the two together.
* In the classic {{shojo}} manga ''Manga/AiShiteNight'', Hideki "Hashizo" Katou's first scene is about how he dreams of becoming "someone like Cupid who appears in picture books". (Let's cut him some slack, though, [[ChildrenAreInnocent he's a kindergartner]]). Predictably, once Hashizo meets a GirlNextDoor named Yakko who may be a good girlfriend for [[PromotionToParent his older brother and caretaker]] [[TheCasanova Go]], he ships them rather hard.
* All of the Aizawas in ''Manga/AizawaSanMultiplies'' are pushing Shino Aizawa and Souta Mizutani together. Notable in that four of the five Aizawas outside of Shino thus far introduced are LiteralSplitPersonality manifestations. In their case, it's [[JustifiedTrope justified]] by the fact that, when they remerge with Shino, they get all her experiences as if they got it - Souta effectively dates five girls at once.
* In ''Manga/{{Amakusa 1637}}'', when [[spoiler: [[GadgeteerGenius Eiji]] and [[HookerWithAHeartOfGold Kichou]]]] share a kiss, [[{{Bifauxnen}} Natsuki]] and [[PluckyGirl Eri]] are seen cooing and fist-pumping in the background.
* In ''Manga/AngelDensetsu'', everyone in the school (except Kuroda) ships Kitano/Ryoko.
* ''Anime/AshitaNoNadja'': Nadja Applefield ships Sylvie/Raphael. Sylvie, in return, ships Nadja/Francis, though she's more aware of how LoveHurts...
** Marianne Hamilton ships Nadja/[[spoiler:Keith]], since she's got a crush on Nadja's love interest [[spoiler:and Keith's younger twin brother]] Francis and having Nadja go the [[spoiler:SettleForSibling]] route would let her have a chance with him. She even admits it to Nadja herself in one of their talks.
** Julietta is a subversion, as when Nadja is caught with her feelings for [[spoiler:Keith and Francis]], she tells Nadja [[spoiler:"choose the guy YOU want and not the one you feel obligued to love back" but doesn't explicitly show preference for either of Nadja's love interests]].
* ''Manga/AssassinationClassroom'':
** Koro-sensei ships his students with each other (though this is mostly just for juicy gossip).
** ''The whole class'' ships [[SternTeacher Karasuma-sensei]][=/=][[FemmeFatale Bitch-sensei]].
** Karma, being Nagisa's self-appointed wingman, has taken pictures of every kiss he's ever had. That said, he goes to great lengths to encourage Kayano specifically to kiss him again- even staging a reconnaissance mission to reassure her Valentine's Day jitters.
** Before the start of the series, [[spoiler:Kayano inferred that her sister Aguri had a crush on a co-worker and encouraged her to pursue him. It's not until much later that she learns that the "co-worker" was Koro-sensei...]]
* Moe in ''Manga/AsteroidInLove'' is mainly focused on Mira and Ao (to the point that if she didn't give enough encouragement [[ShyBlueHairedGirl Ao]] would feel inadequate to Mira), but has no qualms imagining other potential pairings.
* Reiner from ''Manga/AttackOnTitan'' seems to be this for Bertholdt and Annie, as he pushes Bertholdt to confess to her once they return home.
* Of all the people who could possibly qualify, ''Yujiro Hanma'' from ''Manga/BakiTheGrappler'' is fiercely supportive of his son Baki's relationship with Kozue, in part because he thinks they would have extremely strong children and in part because Baki having someone to protect makes him work all the harder to be stronger.
* ''Manga/{{Berserk}}'':
** Judeau was in full support of Guts and Casca, encouraging Guts to pursue her in spite of her worship of Griffith and earlier he gave Casca some elf dust so she could give Guts some IntimateHealing. After Guts and Casca hook up, Judeau urges Guts to take Casca away from the Band... then the Eclipse goes down. [[spoiler: To add an extra layer of tragedy Judeau reveals before he dies he had feelings for Casca himself but knew he wouldn’t stand a chance compared to Griffith and Guts so decided to lose with honour and play match maker to his two best friends]].
** Ironically Guts initially supported Griffith and Casca being together going so far as to literally smack Casca into Griffith’s arms, Guts also told Griffith about Casca wearing a dress in the ball. Much like Judeau, Guts had feelings for Casca as well and assumed bitterly that she had a SingleTargetSexuality for Griffith, fortunately Guts acted upon his feelings and Casca fell for him.
** Sonia teases Schierke about her being with Isidro, it probably would be more cute if Sonia wasn’t the evil reborn Griffith’s medium.
** Hilariously the majority of the cast e.g Puck, Isidro, Luca, Skull Knight, the Demon Child/Moonlight Boy, Roderick and Danan the elf queen starts supporting Guts and Casca. The only two who are reluctant are Farnese and Schierke due to their unrequited feelings for Guts.
*** [[spoiler: Ironically Farnese and Schierke becomes the biggest enablers of Guts and Casca’s relationship as they literally [[JourneyToTheCenterOfTheMind enter Casca’s mind]] and cure her mental state ensuring her reunion with Guts]].
* Maylene from ''Manga/BlackButler'' gets nosebleeds every time Sebastian makes a... [[HoYay comment where the meaning is ambiguous]] to Ciel, despite having a crush on him herself. She's probably just a YaoiFangirl though, and in another instance, when she thought that Sebastian was the one Ciel liked the most, she got noticeably jealous and coined Ciel as a possible "love rival".
* In ''Manga/BlackClover'', Rebecca Scarlett's siblings (even her ''baby brother'') all want her to make a move on Asta, despite her flustered protests and how she actually wants to do it (that being the main, secret reason why she even invited him to their home).
** When Charlotte, the StrawFeminist leader of an AmazonBrigade, admits to having a crush on Yami she's so embarrassed that she's willing to resign for this "disgrace." Instead, every squadmate [[IncompatibleOrientation except Sol]] ''totally'' ships them, with many also admitting [[SecretRelationship to having secret boyfriends]] themselves.
* ''Manga/{{Bleach}}'':
** The manga periodically has different characters addressing the idea of [[BroodingBoyGentleGirl Ichigo and Orihime]]. Ichigo's sisters, especially Karin, discuss Orihime being more Ichigo's type than Tatsuki. Tatsuki herself graphically lectures Orihime on how to snare Ichigo. Soul Society residents comment on Orihime's beauty but don't pursue her because they believe she and Ichigo are a couple. Several of Ichigo's rivals have used Orihime as a motivator for Ichigo — with Grimmjow, Nnoitora, Ulquiorra, Ginjo, Tsukishima and even [[spoiler: Yhwach]] ''openly'' lampshading her importance to him. Rukia gets Ichigo to give a DeclarationOfProtection to Orihime, Nel lectures Ichigo on how to properly treat Orihime (GroinAttack included), Uryu at some point is mentally telling Ichigo to win against Ulquiorra for "her [Orihime's] sake", and Urahara tricks Orihime into wearing a revealing dress that might attract Ichigo; when Chad asks Ichigo what he thinks of Orihime's dress, Ichigo becomes flustered and this causes Yoruichi to berate him for not complimenting Orihime's appearance. Few later Chad, Ichigo and Orihime are attacked by monsters, and when Ichigo pretty much cradles Orihime close to protect her, Chad gives him a thumbs-up. [[spoiler:The epilogue is set ten years into the future, revealing that Ichigo and Orihime are HappilyMarried and have a son called Kazui who has inherited Soul Reaper powers; a novel related to it has Renji ''openly'' telling Ichigo to talk to Orihime]].
** Some of Renji's friends seem to think that a relationship [[ChildhoodFriendRomance between him and Rukia]] would be a good thing: the list includes Ikkaku, Momo and Ichigo himself, who even ''specifically'' [[DeclarationOfProtection entrusts Rukia's safety to Renji]] before fighting Byakuya. On the other hand [[ShippingTorpedo Kira]] is not so thrilled, but that's because [[UptownGirl Rukia was adopted into a noble family]] and he doesn't want Renji to have false illusions about it. [[spoiler:In the aforementioned epilogue, Renji and Rukia are also together and have a daughter name Ichika, who is already a Shinigami apprentice. The first non-Shinigami they told about their upcoming wedding was Orihime, and she cried TearsOfJoy at that]].
* In ''Manga/BlendS'', the Dino X Maika often gets this treatment.
** Miu literally ships Dino X Maika, to the point of writing {{doujinshi}} based on that pairing. She mentioned that couple was {{moe}}.
** Hideri also decides to help Dino out with Maika, though with little success. One of Hideri's suggestions actually makes Maika think that [[NotWhatItLooksLike she was about to be fired!]]
* Briefly in ''Anime/BloodPlus'', where Mao tries to set up Kai and Saya, who aren't romantically attracted to each other.
** Kai ''[[BodyguardCrush is]]'', but holds back because he knows Saya cares for him but really does think of him as a brother, nothing more and nothing less.
** And this is despite Mao [[MatchmakerCrush having a crush on Kai too]].
* In ''Manga/BoysOverFlowers'', Shigeru ships Tsukushi/Tsukasa. Curiously, Tsukasa is her ''[[ArrangedMarriage arranged fiancé]]''. Akira and Soujiro sometimes join in, too.
* In ''Manga/CallOfTheNight'', Nazuna's vampire acquaintances start shipping her with Yamori once she admits that she cares for him, and encourage her to make him fall for her so that she can turn him into a vampire.
* In ''Manga/CandyCandy'', Candy ships [[spoiler: Annie Brighton and Archie Cornwall]] after learning that they have a LongDistanceRelationship. [[spoiler: Things get complicated when the three arrive to the same BoardingSchool and it turns out Archie has a crush on Candy, which triggers Annie's insecurities. It's resolved relatively soon, however, and Annie and Archie officially get together]].
* ''Manga/CaptainTsubasa'': Pretty much the whole Nankatsu JHS Soccer Team (their TeamDad doc included) ships Sanae/Tsubasa. [[spoiler: Even Kumi, Sanae's love rival, joins the group without any misgivings or reservations after Tsubasa turns her own confession down]].
** The kids in the Furano team ship Yoshiko/Matsuyama. The TeamMom assistant and the TeamDad captain... perfect!
** Takeshi is a Hyuga/Maki fanboy in the manga, teasing Hyuuga openly about getting a GoodLuckCharm from Maki.
* ''Manga/CardcaptorSakura'':
** Tomoyo Daidouji ships Sakura Kinomoto and Syaoran Li, though it's all but stated that she has a MatchmakerCrush... on Sakura.
** In TheMovie, Meiling Li, Syaoran's [[KissingCousins cousin]] and ex-fiancee, helps Tomoyo to try and get Sakura and Syaoran together.
** Kaho Mizuki is a [[YaoiFangirl Touya/Yukito fangirl]] from ''before'' Touya and Yukito met. For added effect, ''she'' was dating Touya when she basically told him "you'll meet this guy in the future, and you'll fall in love with him..."
** When Yukito gently turns Sakura's LoveConfession down, she immediately asks him if it's because he likes someone else. When Yukito says yes, she correctly guesses it's Touya and immediately approves of, even telling Yukito that if Touya bothers him a little too much, she can set him straight.
** Hilariously enough, ''Yue'' seems to be a little frustrated by being the stoic pessimist in a show for ten-year-old girls where everyone has a huge case of CantSpitItOut. He goes out of his way at different times to emerge from Yukito and spell things out for people. He tells Syaoran that his attraction to Yukito isn't love for him, but a reaction to his moon magic, and that if he thinks about it, he'll realize who he really loves... meaning, of course, Sakura. He also clarifies Yukito's feelings (and insecurities) to Touya, to explain why he never showed himself to Touya before.
* ''Manga/CaseClosed'':
** Yumi Miyamoto is very, ''very'' determined to get [[MasculineGirlFeminineBoy Sato and Takagi]] together. It's not just [[SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan seeing her best friend end up with the perfect man for her]], though; she takes delight in teasing those two about their relationship's tendency to [[AlmostKiss not *quite* coalesce]]. [[spoiler: After Satou and Takagi finally ''do'' get to kiss, and Shiratori has found [[ChildhoodFriendRomance the real target]] of his SingleTargetSexuality in Kobayashi-sensei (Satou was a false positive), Yumi complains that it's suddenly gotten a bit [[VictoryIsBoring boring]], now that she no longer has anything to aim her teasing at. Amusingly, this has led her to work to make sure that the latest potential couple to appear on her radar ''don't'' end up together ... [[FailureIsTheOnlyOption futilely]]]].
** While Conan is generally [[DeadpanSnarker very snarky]] in regards to romantic love, he seems to support match-ups if he truly thinks that the ones who could hook up will be happy, and therefore he ships Takagi and Sato as well. One story had Sato promise to marry her co-worker Shiratori [[WeddingDeadline if Takagi doesn't come to her by a certain time]]. While Takagi really and truly wants to get to her, he's held up by a very confusing murder mystery he's gotten caught up in; Conan gives him some help on the case and, when it looks like Takagi's not going to make it in time, sets up an illusion that he's there, giving the real Takagi the few extra minutes needed to make it.
*** The Detective Boys also ship the Hell out of Takagi/Satou. So does Sonoko, who is PISSED [[http://33.media.tumblr.com/405e6dc8c0fe7c4dc35767729747024f/tumblr_n5yuxufpJV1qgf1bho7_500.gif when Conan]] [[MomentKiller interrupts]] what [[AlmostKiss could have been]] Takagi and Sato's FirstKiss...
*** The kids also ship [[spoiler: Shiratori and Kobayashi]] rather hard, trying to get him to tell her [[spoiler: that she's his '[[FirstGirlAfterAll girl of]] [[BecauseDestinySaysSo destiny]]']] more than once. Surprisingly, ''Ai'' is the most invested, [[LittleMissSnarker in her own way]].
---->'''Ai:''' It's irritating. [[CannotSpitItOut To fail to express his feelings straightforwardly, leaving his girl in the dark]]... a typical ''dorama'' moron.\
'''Conan:''' You aren't talking about me, right?\
'''Ai:''' ... [[MoeCouplet I just think they make a good couple]]. [[spoiler: Kobayashi-sensei]] is a fan of mysteries and [[spoiler: Inspector Shiratori]] might be able to tell her good case stories.
** On the other hand, Ran ships [[SlapSlapKiss Heiji/Kazuha]] ''and'' [[LadyAndKnight Makoto/Sonoko]]. Not to mention her attempts to bring [[BelligerentSexualTension her parents Kogoro and Eri]] back together...
*** And on the other ''other'' hand, Sonoko was ''very'' reluctant to ship Ran and Shinichi, since she believed (and still sorta believes) he's not good enough for her. [[spoiler: In one of the OAV's she even urges Ran to go out with Dr. Araide... Thank God it's AllJustADream]]. She loosens up with time.
** Sato and Takagi themselves ship [[spoiler: Kobayashi and Shiratori]], ''specially'' Sato. One can pass it up as [[spoiler: them being relieved that Shiratori isn't interferring anymore]], but they seem to be genuinely fond of the idea during the mini-arc focusing on them...
--->'''Sato:''' ''[in a VERY giddy, almost GenkiGirl-like tone and attitude]'' Sooooo, where's the cute [[spoiler: teacher]] that [[spoiler: Shiratori-kun]] is so in love with?! Huh? Huuuuuh?!
** Kazuha and Heiji also ship Shinichi/Ran. Heiji, as one of Conan/Shinichi's {{secret keeper}}s, has openly told him to just tell Ran about his secret identity so she won't suffer anymore for his "absence". On the other hand, even when Kazuha's father [[DaChief Ginshirou Toyama]] can be ''very'' [[BoyfriendBlockingDad overprotective]] [[DaddysGirl of his little girl]], he has also implied that Heiji is pretty much the only potential boyfriend of hers that he would approve of without any reservations.
** Shinichi's almost child-like mother Yukiko ships her son with Ran. She has referred to her as "daughter in law" at least once, and has also teased him about it.
*** Interestingly, she also ships him with Ai/Shiho.
** Later in the story, the high-class girl Momiji Oouka was introduced as Heiji's SelfProclaimedLoveInterest [[spoiler: and a once-forgotten ChildhoodFriend of his']]. Her companion and loyal butler, Iori Muga, completely supports Momiji's bid for Heiji's heart.
** Aoyama lampshades and spoofs the trope once. Ran says that Conan and Ai are very cute together, Sonoko retorts that Conan and Ayumi are cuter, and they almost get in a verbal spat for it.
* In ''Anime/{{Charlotte}}'', Mishima for her friend Yumi towards Yu. After he's invited for some pancakes, she pretends to suddenly have to go home so the two can spend time alone together.
* In ''Manga/{{Chintsubu}}'', [[MoeAnthropomorphism Kamiya's penis]] ships him with Iwabuchi.
* In ''Manga/CityHunter'':
** Umibozu ships Ryo/Kaori hard, trying multiple times to make Kaori realize Ryo is in love with her (Kaori never understood) and even setting them up to sleep in the same bed. On the same ship we have Doc, Miki, Sayuri Tachiki (Kaori's biological sister), Eriko Kitahara (Kaori's fashion-obsessed high school friend), and Saeko's little sister Yuka (who openly told Ryo to hurry up and marry Kaori).
** Other Ryo/Kaori shippers of the I Want My Beloved to Be Happy kind are Saeko, Kazue Natori and Mick Angel: the first always refrained from paying Ryo with sex (as he asks after every job) because she realized Ryo had fallen for Kaori, Kazue, after a brief period where she wanted to replace Kaori both in love and job, started shipping them , and the latter, realizing he wouldn't be able to take Kaori from Ryo, decided to entrust her to his friend and tried to make him declare his love.
* ''Anime/CodeGeass'':
** Lelouch and Shirley are shipped by most of the Student Council, especially Milly.
** Milly ships ''everyone/everyone''. Just remember Cupid's Day. It's likely that sexual activity at the academy really increased during her mandate as president.
** Supplementary materials reveal Nunally as a Lelouch/C.C. shipper though it is because of C.C. clearly misleading her in thinking they are a thing. So was [[spoiler: her and Lulu's mother, Empress Marianne: she openly teases [[OddFriendship her old friend]] C.C. about it, and gets a flat "HeIsNotMyBoyfriend" reply from her. ItRunsInTheFamily, indeed]].
*** Kaguya ships Lelouch with Kallen and CC, ''along with herself'', as his personal [[http://s80.photobucket.com/albums/j166/bing_ah/Code%20Geass/?action=view¤t=cgr2_7-62-3CourtLadiesofLelouch.jpg&mediafilter=images harem]].
** Asahina ships Todoh / [[ActionGirl Chiba]], suggesting that Chiba "confess already" early in Episode 5 of R2, and his comments about Chiba having a reason to live on after saving her life in the second battle for Tokyo causes her to blush, indicating she knows what he's implying.
** Lelouch seems to ship his best friend Suzaku with his little sister Nunally, or at least consider him good enough to [[DeclarationofProtection to protect her]]. Plus, being BestFriendsInLaw would allow [[ShipperWithAnAgenda Lelouch]] to keep Suzaku ''very'' near to him and make him a part on his plans... Naturally, this goes to Hell when Suzaku and Lelouch properly find out what sides are they on.
* Installments on ''Anime/DarkerThanBlack'' (namely, the second season and {{interquel}} manga) have contained numerous instances of characters teasing [[FairCop Misaki Kirihara]] that the ''real'' reason she wants to catch BK-201 is that she has a crush on him. To be fair, they're [[ChickMagnet probably right]].
* In ''Manga/DemonSlayerKimetsuNoYaiba'', the ever diligent, religious monk warrior Gyomei Himejima seems like the last person one would ever consider to bother about romance matters. However, in the second databook, it is revealed that he is quite perceptive on what possible couples could form out of his Hashira colleagues: [[spoiler: he believed that Mitsuri and Iguro loved each other; he thought Sanemi liked Kanae; he thought Giyuu and Shinobu liked talking to each other]].
* In the English dub of ''Anime/DigimonAdventure'', Piedmon is this for TK and Kari, [[PuppyLove even though they're only 8]]. "Looks like you two are ''falling'' for each other!" It should be noted he was mostly saying it because he had cut the rope they were hanging on, [[WouldHurtAChild causing them to literally fall]].
** In ''[[Anime/DigimonAdventureTri tri.]]'', once Takeru figures out that Koushiro has a crush on Mimi, he willingly plays the role of the RomanticWingman for him, such as helping Koushiro improve his fashion sense and directly telling a fascinated Mimi that Koushiro now has his own big fancy office.
* ''Franchise/DragonBall'':
** The Ox King was the biggest supporter of Goku and Chi-Chi, organizing a marriage as soon as he learned Chi-Chi was in love with Goku. Twice in {{Filler}} he goes above and beyond to safeguard his daughter’s wedding, on the second occasion even getting himself nearly burned alive to protect Chi-Chi’s wedding dress from the flames.
** Oolong teased Tien and Blonde Launch about being together when Launch was patching Tien up, leading to them both getting a LuminescentBlush.
** Puar and Mrs Briefs supported Bulma and Yamcha before Vegeta came along. Ironically in ''Manga/DragonBallThatTimeIGotReincarnatedAsYamcha'' Yamcha ([[ReincarnateInAnotherWorld or the nameless kid in his body]]) himself is forced (despite his feelings for Bulma) to make sure she hooks up with Vegeta for the sake of the future.
** After Krillin wishes the bomb to be removed from Android 18 and 18 confused yells at Krillin before flying off, Yamcha and Tien encourage Krillin to hook up with her.
** Chi-Chi initially found Videl irritating and told her off for chasing her son Gohan. Then Chi-Chi learned how wealthy Videl was and immediately starting talking about marriage leading to a glorious SpitTake from Gohan. In ''Anime/DragonBallZFusionReborn'' Chi-Chi says Videl has the makings of a great wife making Videl blush and drop the dishes.
*** Aside from Chi-Chi, Krillin, Bulma, and most of the Z-Fighters support Gohan and Videl, encouraging them to shyly dance together in the Filler ending to the Buu Saga.
** In ''Anime/DragonBallSuper'' Bulma supports her son's relationship with the de-aged Mai and yells at Piccolo when he finds it uncouth. Mai herself supports her future self being with Future Trunks.
** More subtle example with Lemo in ''Anime/DragonBallSuperBroly'' supports Cheelai caring for Broly, helping her gather the Dragon Balls to wish him away to planet Vampa to save him. Lemo even flies Cheelai to Vampa so she can reunite with Broly.
* ''Manga/DungeonFriendsForever'':
** Ryuuka's top enforcers, her Dark Board of Directors, spend the bulk of their screentime quietly watching Ryuuka and Van's interactions, finding their relationship precious. Harpy, especially, is all for them upgrading their relationship. They don't even mind that Van will be able to start visiting daily, even though it means he'll also be beating the crap out of them daily since it's their job to at least try to stop him.
** Sylvia the mage joins in the on-deck shipping in chapter 10, when she's quick to notice the nature of Ryuuka's and Van's relationship and quietly tells Ryuuka she'll be rooting for them.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:F - L]]
* ''Manga/FairyTail'':
** Happy likes to ship anyone who has feelings toward others, mostly Loke/Lucy. In fact, he ships just almost anybody, including Gray/Lucy, Gray/Juvia, Ren/Sherry and [[spoiler: Daphne]]/Gray. He usually says "S/He liiiikes you" whenever this happens.
** Virgo does this as well, towards both Gray/Lucy ''and'' Natsu/Lucy, complete with saying Happy's catchphrase.
** Lucy eventually gets revenge on Happy by shipping him with Carla, complete with using his catchphrase against him.
** Juvia is a fan of Natsu/Lucy, though that's probably because it means less competition for Gray's affections.
** Mirajane told Lucy about Natsu having feelings for her, which she denied, resulting in many fantasies about being with Natsu. It continued when Mirajane told Lucy that Gray has feelings for her.
** Gildarts ships Natsu with Lisanna, though this is mostly explained because the two did grow up together and were close friends back then.
** By the end of the Nirvana arc, Natsu ships Jellal/Erza. "You have to stay by her side!!" indeed.
** Ultear seems to ship Jellal/Erza as well. [[spoiler:She questions Jellal's choices after he turns Erza down. And when Merudy asks why Crime Sorciere needed to meet Fairy Tail before the Grand Magic games, Ultear explains that it was important for Jellal/Erza]]. This is somewhat justified, considering she's the reason they aren't together.
** With Elfman/Evergreen ShipTease picking up, Freed and especially Bixlow have begun shipping the two.
** Erza encourages Gray to tell Juvia how he really feels about her.
* Kenshiro from ''Manga/FistOfTheNorthStar'' believes that Lin should love Bat, [[PrecociousCrush not him]], [[spoiler: and he gets them together at the end of the manga]].
* In ''Manga/FlyMeToTheMoon'', Tokiko supports Nasa and Tsukasa's relationship.
* ''Manga/FruitsBasket'':
** [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy Mayuko]] [[BadassTeacher Shiraki]] is the Shipper on Deck for her best friend Kanna and her crush/cousin Hatori. Years after it all goes horribly wrong, she still feels guilty for taking Kanna's place in Hatori's affections.
** Momiji ships Kyo/Tohru, despite having a crush on Tohru himself. [[spoiler: In the manga, it's his warning to Kyo about the GreenEyedMonster that makes him face his own feelings for her]].
** Kakeru ships his friend Yuki and his half-sister Machi. When he points out to Komaki that the two have a thing for each other, she also seems rather pleased by the idea. And while Ayame takes a minute to catch on ("why would you go gaga over [Machi]?") he quickly joins in on the shipping as well, trying to get her to dress up in something cute for Yuki.
** Nothing pleases Tohru more than learning someone she cares for is in love, and she ships for all she's worth.
** Tohru's friends want nothing more than for whoever she dates to be a nice guy who appreciates her. So while [[spoiler:they are ''extremely'' pissed at Kyo for rejecting her and refuse to let him visit her in the hospital because she's still upset]], they do tell him later that they know he's a good guy and to please be good to Tohru. Tohru's grandfather also seems to approve of Tohru/Kyo, noticing that his granddaughter means a lot to Kyo; because of this, he tells Kyo about Tohru and Kyoko's rather unpleasant relationship with the rest of the Honda family, especially after Katsuya's death. (Before this, her grandfather was also the only relative who supported Katsuya's marriage to Kyoko.)
* ''Manga/FullmetalAlchemist'':
** Maes appears to ship Ed and Winry
--->'''Maes''': (Putting his hand on Ed's shoulder) She'll make you a fine wife someday.\
'''Ed''': [[CrossPoppingVeins Don't you start that again!]]
** Ed seems to be slightly supportive of [[BodyguardCrush Roy/Riza]]. "And don't worry the Lieutenant."
** Al is a big [[BelligerentSexualTension Ed/Winry]] shipper. "Brother is so youthful!"
** Eventually it gets to the point where Al and Winry love to tease each other about their respective love interests, Winry being an [[HugeGuyTinyGirl Al/May Chang]] shipper.
** Even Ed gets in on Al/Mei shipping, remarking how she must deeply care for Alphonse when she cries over Al's [[spoiler: sacrifice for Ed]]. He teases Al about becoming a prince of Xing later.
** Also, Riza seems to ship Edwin, or at least she likes teasing Edward about it.
--->'''Riza:''' You love Winry, don't you?
--->'''Ed:''' ''[SpitTake]''
** Even ''[[NobleDemon Greed]]'' gets in on it, shipping another BodyguardCrush instance between [[{{Moe}} Lan]] [[{{Tsundere}} Fan]] and [[KingIncognito Ling]] [[ObfuscatingStupidity Yao]].
--->'''Greed:''' "That's ''some'' woman you got there. I never knew you were such a stud! Where you been hiding her all this time?\
'''Ling:''' Well, you know, I'm full of surprises.
** Hohenheim appears to ship this too, as demonstrated when he asks Lan Fan about Ling.
--->'''Hohenheim:''' He's very special to you, isn't he?
** And then there's Mei and her [[spoiler: Roy/Riza]] shipping, too. [[spoiler: She did choose to help save Riza rather than take the Philosopher's Stone]].
** Also, General Grumman ships Roy with his granddaughter. [[spoiler:Supplemental material verifies that this granddaughter is Riza... so he's a Roy/Riza shipper too]].
** In ''Anime/FullMetalAlchemistTheSacredStarOfMilos'', Al seems to have taken a shine to Julia. Ed responds by leaving them alone together after [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext slapping Al on the butt]] and telling him to catch up later.
* Subverted in ''Manga/FushigiYuugi''. While many of the Suzaku Seishi supported Tamahome/Miaka, Tamahome's martial arts teacher and former Byakko Seishi Tokaki [[ShippingTorpedo did NOT support their love]] and made it clear. [[spoiler:It was just an act pretending to be a jerk, as he and his wife Subaru knew well what happened to [[StarCrossedLovers their fellow Seishi Tatara and their Miko Suzuno]] and tried to prevent it from happening again. They give in when they see ''exactly'' how serious Tamahome is about his love for Miaka]].
* ''Manga/FushigiYuugiGenbuKaiden'':
** Several of the Genbu Senshi ship [[BodyguardCrush Takiko and Uruki]]. In the ''Kagami no Miko'' game, so does [[PlayerCharacter Mariko]].
** In the real world, however, Takiko's maternal aunt ships Takiko with [[HospitalHottie Dr. Oikawa]].
* In ''Anime/GaoGaiGar'', every named kid except Ikumi Kaidou and the ship-ees are rooting for the PuppyLove ship of Amami Mamoru and Hatsuno Hana, who share a ChildhoodMarriagePromise. At the end of the series, [[spoiler:before Mamoru and Galeon return to the Green World, the kids dress Hana in full tiny brides' regalia and stage a wedding, complete with kiss, to the wistful tune of "Someday in the Sea of Stars"]].
* In ''Manga/GEGoodEnding'', it's what drives the plot at first, with Yuki shipping Utsumi and Shou together. SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome occurs.
* Chika Oguie from ''Manga/{{Genshiken}}'' [[YaoiFangirl ships Madarame/Sasahara]]. [[spoiler:In a twist, it helps cement her own pairing with Sasahara at the end of the series]].
* Adale in ''Literature/TheGoodWitchOfTheWest'', who [[spoiler:gleefully writes what amounts to in-universe {{Yaoi|Genre}} fanfics that unsubtly pair off both of the female lead's male suitors with each other. It is implied that the reason she fantasizes about this is so she can claim the heroine for herself, although nothing comes of it]].
* The ''Franchise/{{Gundam}}'' franchise has plenty of these, believe it or not:
** Hoy and Min, the grandkids of the man whose boat Domon is staying in, heartily ship Rain Mikamura and [[TheHero Domon Kasshu]] in ''[[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam G Gundam]]''. Hoy even kicks Chibodee in the shins for trying to ask Rain out for lunch.
*** Also, Rain and Domon are [[TeamChef Sai Saici]] / [[{{Moe}} Cecile Holgar]] shippers.
** By the end of the series, ''everyone'' ships Domon/Rain. Chibodee included. [[spoiler:Even Allenby, [[MatchmakerCrush who is in love with Domon too]], and says "IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy" in one of the most beautiful scenes of the GrandFinale]].
** ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundamWing Gundam Wing]]'': No matter what the YaoiFangirls say, practically '''everyone''' tries to get [[HitmanWithAHeart Heero]] and [[PoliticallyActivePrincess Relena]] to admit their feelings for each other. Late in the series Duo, Trowa, and Quatre encourage him to rescue her from [[LaResistance White Fang]] ([[LeaveTheTwoLovebirdsAlone by himself]]) and discuss the relationship with surprising accuracy. In the manga ''Battlefield of Pacifists'' Duo and Dorothy make sure that the two meet for the first time in months and spend a good amount of time together. Hell, even [[HumongousMecha Wing Zero]] (Particularly the suit's OS) seems to be pushing Heero in Relena's direction a couple of times.
** Depending on whether one sees [[HoYay Trowa and Quatre as a couple]] or not, Heero, Duo, and possibly Relena could be seen as Shippers on Deck. Rather surprisingly, [[SugarAndIceGuy Heero]] is the most invested one, as he straight-up tells Quatre something by the lines of "don't you even think of getting yourself killed in battle before Trowa joins us again".
** Roybea Roy, Shingo Mouri, Kid Salsamille, Jamil Neate and ''especially'' Toniya Marme from ''Anime/AfterWarGundamX'' ship Garrod/Tiffa. When Pala Sys joins the crew in the final arc, she immediately starts shipping it too. Truly, EveryoneCanSeeIt.
** Miashei enjoys shipping her friends in ''Anime/TurnAGundam''. She's not hugely devoted to any one ship, but she'll happily comment on whatever looks likely at the moment (usually Loran with one of the Heim sisters, or BetaCouple Fran and Joseph).
** Mileina Vashti in ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundam00 Gundam 00]]'' ships Allelujah/[[spoiler:Marie]] and Setsuna/Marina, [[VerbalTic desu!]]. [[spoiler: And she actually is right about the first one (both if you include the movie's manga adaptation)!]]. Setsuna F. Seiei himself ships [[StarCrossedLovers Saji Crossroad and Louise Halevy]] back together throughout season 2. [[spoiler: He even slashed off Andrei Smirnov's Ahead when the latter [[MurderTheHypotenuse attempted to kill Saji]]]].
** In ''Anime/GundamBuildFighters'' Rinko Iori ships her son with China, and then starts shipping Reji and Alia.
* ''Manga/GunslingerGirl'': Triela is assigned to guard Mimi, a girl her age who notices her crush on her handler Hilshire and encourages her to let him know how she feels. [[WiseBeyondHerYears Being well aware]] that Hilshire isn't interested in having an affair with a fourteen-year-old cyborg killing machine whose feelings of love are likely just a side-effect of her conditioned loyalty, Triela [[AnchoredShip never follows her advice]].
* Mushanokouji Yurina from ''[[Magazine/YuriHime Hana no Yurina Gumi]]'' is a YuriFan who enjoys shipping her classmates and setting them up.
-->''"The next thing to make is a swim team couple."''
* ''Manga/HeavensLostProperty'': Chapter 61 of the manga implies that Tomoki's father thinks of Sohara as his son's "most suitable" partner. Sohara herself ships Tomoki/Ikaros, in an IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy moment.
* ''Anime/HelloSandybell'':
** [[spoiler: Alec encourages Mark to pursue Sandybell, who Mark's had a crush on ever since they were young, telling him that he must break off his engagement to Kitty. Then, Alec is seen wooing Kitty after Mark dumps her. That sly son of a...]]
** [[spoiler: In the GrandFinale Charles is invited to Sandybell and Mark's party, and is happy to see that they've gotten together, celebrating their union with his friends.]]
* Japan of ''Webcomic/HetaliaAxisPowers'' may count. When Italy asks for advice on a designing a war poster, Japan suggests putting Italy and Germany's names under an UmbrellaOfTogetherness. Austria also gives Germany dating advice in the Valentine's comics.
* ''Manga/HighschoolOfTheDead'': It takes them awhile to get there, but it's clear that [[ShortTank Saya]] and Hirano are made for each other. In chapter 28, when they exchange guns, it leads to a tender moment between them; [[EveryoneCanSeeIt causing Rei and the others to smile knowingly]] while Alice waves a pair of flags.
* ''VisualNovel/HigurashiWhenTheyCry'': In the arcs she isn't insane, Shion ships her sister Mion with her crush, Keiichi, pretty hard. In her own words:
-->'''Shion:''' The person I love may be gone, but sis still has hers.
* In Miyazaki's adaptation of ''Anime/HowlsMovingCastle'', when the Witch of the Waste realizes just how much Sophie loves Howl, she gives up her own desire to "possess" his heart and gives it to over (figuratively as well as literally). [[spoiler:When Sophie's kiss of love breaks Turnip Head's curse and turns him back into the prince, the Witch tells him "It looks like your true love is in love with someone else." Turnip Head himself seems to be in on the Sophie/Howl ship a bit, seeing as he's fine with leaving the two together]].
* ''Manga/HozukisCoolheadedness'': The yearly meeting of gods in Izumo inevitably turns into the gods matchmaking mortals together once the drink starts flowing. The gods don't manipulate emotions so much as create opportunities for mortals to meet and fall in love on their own. A whole segment is dedicated to Enma using a chance to pair up Hozuki and Peach Maki while they're both in the Mundane World.
* ''Manga/IBelongToTheBaddestGirlAtSchool'': Aika ships Fuyuhiko/Kanade, as do Tasuku, Fuyuhiko's mother and Toramaru the cat.
* Tenma from ''[[VideoGame/InazumaEleven Inazuma Eleven GO]]'' seems to be an Ichinose/Aki shipper as seen when he asks Aki if she had received any calls from America lately, which makes her blush. This heavily implies both that they are in a [[ChildhoodFriendRomance romantic relationship]] and that at least Tenma is shipping them (giving Tenma and Aki are related, it makes sense).
* ''Manga/InuYasha'':
** Kagome Higurashi ships Sango and Miroku; when RomanticFalseLead Kuranosuke Takeda proposes marriage to Sango, Kagome gets more worked up about it than either of them, and gets mad at Miroku for not protesting until he patiently explains that it's Sango's decision and [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy if it would make her happy then it's not his place to interfere]].
** Rin supports Sesshomaru and Kagura, becoming very excited when she thinks that Kagura might be in love with Sesshomaru, tries to convince Jaken that she's right, and says that they should trust Kagura more after she comes to this conclusion -- seemingly trying to get them closer together. (ep. 167)
** Not to mention Miroku, Sango and Shippo ship Inu-Yasha and Kagome pretty hard, and get angry at him whenever he seems to show feelings for his [[CameBackWrong sorta dead]] ex... who also happens to be Kagome's previous incarnation.
** Kagome's own family actively ships her relationship with Inuyasha as well. Her brother Souta was surprised to hear from Inuyasha that he and Kagome had never confessed their feelings to each other, assuming they were already a couple.
* ''Manga/JujutsuKaisen'':
** Once he starts thinking that Maki might have a crush on Yuta, Panda covertly asks the latter if he prefers women with a bigger or smaller bust size, then tells an unamused Maki that she has a chance when [[CovertPervert Yuta]] answers with "bigger".
** When Yuji immediately recognizes Yuko Ozawa, a former classmate from middle school who has a crush on Yuji and underwent a drastic change in appearance since the last time they met, Nobara and [[NotSoAboveItAll Megumi]] quietly express their approval.
* ''Franchise/KagerouProject'':
** Momo becomes one for Hibiya/Hiyori during Chapter 19 of the manga.
** Ayano is the only person privy to Takane's feelings toward Haruka, and encourages her to confess her feelings when [[spoiler:a particularly vicious attack from his condition has left him on life-support. [[TearJerker She's too late]]]].
* ''Manga/KaguyaSamaLoveIsWar'':
** It's suggested that most of student body of Shuchiin Academy ships Kaguya/Shirogane. When a rumor spread that Shirogane was supposedly going to confess, ''dozens'' of students gathered around the windows and hid in the trees to watch. [[spoiler:According to Karen, when the two started publically dating, the average reaction was some combination of "finally" and "I knew it".]]
** Hayasaka probably has the most vested interest in seeing Kaguya and Shirogane get together, because their constant inability to just admit they like each other annoys her and [[CoolBigSis Kaguya's happiness is her number one priority]].
** Karen is a particularly extreme example. She treats the sight of Kaguya and Shirogane involved in romantic situations as a ''religious experience''. [[spoiler: She eventually gets the first row seat to the pair's FirstKiss, much to her ''[[BloodFromMouth extreme]] [[AsTheGoodBookSay delight]]'']].
--->'''Karen:''' There is a god. He preaches the President x Kaguya-sama gospel...
** Shirogane's dad is a big supporter of him and Kaguya. It gets to the point that when his son calls him from home, [[spoiler:he infers that he's planning to have his [[TheirFirstTime first time]] with Kaguya and willingly spends the night away to give them some privacy]].
** Kaguya and Maki both ship Ishigami/Tsubame, [[ShipperWithAnAgenda though Kaguya is at least partially motivated by a desire to improve Ishigami's self confidence]].
** Erika ships [[BetaCouple Kashiwagi/Tsubasa]], and she has a bad habit of [[InnocentlyInsensitive commenting on what a wonderful couple they are]] in [[HopelessSuitor Maki's]] presence.
** Onodera ships Ishigami/Miko after becoming friends with them (especially during Tsubame's Christmas party, where she gets in-between Miko and a boy who tries to flirt with her, and is constantly focused on Ishigami and Miko's conversations). Notably, when a shipping war broke out between those who supported Ishigami/Tsubame and Ishigami/Iino in Chapter 189, she was the only who had no [[ShipperWithAnAgenda ulterior motives]].
* ''Anime/KaleidoStar'': Sora, Anna, Ken, Marion and Mia are Kalos/Sarah shippers. [[spoiler:Their OTP becomes canon soon]].
** Sora also ships [[GentleGiant Jerry]] / [[HospitalHottie Kate]]. [[spoiler: Another one that goes canon]].
* Three notable ones in ''Manga/{{Kekkaishi}}''. The first is [[http://www.mangareader.net/144-9630-9/kekkaishi/chapter-219.html Madoka]], the best friend of the female lead, Tokine, who always overtly hints to Tokine that Yoshimori, the male lead and Tokine's childhood friend, would be a pretty good match for Tokine even though he's two years younger and Tokine has a preference for older, taller guys. The other two are Kyoko and Ayano, the [[ThoseTwoGuys two best friends]] of Yurina, a classmate of Yoshimori. They think Yurina's meetings with Yoshimori on the roof (which were actually discussions about Yurina's supernatural awareness) were attempts by Yuirna to confess to Yoshimori.
* The Ryozanpakou masters in ''Manga/KenichiTheMightiestDisciple'' actively ship Kenichi with Miu, and even pay attention to any progress in their relationship...except for Miu's grandfather and [[TeamDad the head of the dojo]], [[BoyfriendBlockingDad Hayato Furinji]], who's openly declared that the only way Kenichi will get to date Miu is by defeating ''[[WorldsStrongestMan him]]''. [[spoiler:Saiga Furinji, Miu's DisappearedDad and the BigBad, seems to approve of Kenichi's feelings for Miu, too; it helps that Kenichi was willing to go all-out to rescue her when she was kidnapped by Silcardo Junazard]]. On a lesser note, Freya has made the assumption that Kisara and Ukita are an item, though Kisara [[HeIsNotMyBoyfriend vehemently denies it]].
* ''Manga/KimagureOrangeRoad'':
** In the manga Kyosuke's younger sister Manami ships Kyousuke/Madoka... while her twin Kurumi ships Hikaru/Kyousuke. HilarityEnsues. [[spoiler: It's played more seriously later, when Manami is the one who explains the whole PsychicPowers deal to Madoka because of this]].
** Their cousin Akane ships Hikaru/Kyosuke too, specially because she seems to want Madoka for herself. In fact, right before meeting Madoka, Akane was VERY angry at her because she mistakenly thought [[MistakenForCheating she was Kyousuke's "girl on the side"]]...
** On the other hand, Madoka's CoolBigSis-like friend Yukari ships Madoka/Kyousuke and leaves it clear in a scene where she playfully "links" them [[RedStringOfFate with a red string]] during a concert.
* Karen of ''Manga/KiniroMosaic'', in regards to Youko and Aya's relationship. In fact, in episode 5, she even made an "Ayaya Pie Chart" that consisted of 10% intelligent, 10% shy, and 80% Youko. Aya's [[{{Tsundere}} reaction]] was priceless.
* ''Manga/KomiCantCommunicate'':
** Komi ships both Mikuni/Katai and Shousuke/Hitomi, while Komitani ships Naruse/Ase.
** Onemine and Takarazuka ship Komi/Tadano, as do Katou and Sasaki. Sasaki also wants Katou to get together with Katai.
** Hitomi supports both Komi/Tadano and Ai/Shousuke, while Agari supports Manbagi/Tadano.
* DoubleSubverted in ''Manga/KomorisanCantDecline''. Masako and Megumi don't like Ootani, but they try to hook him up with Komori anyway because he's one of the few people that doesn't take advantage of her ChronicHeroSyndrome.
* ''Manga/KotouraSan'''s Haruka and Manabe is so clearly a couple that people in the universe just can't stop shipping them.
** In episode 3, the boys in Haruka and Manabe's class put their names under an UmbrellaOfTogetherness signifying a relationship. Manabe at first seems offended by it, but rather than take offense that they shipped them together, he complains that they forgot to add hearts to it.
** Haruka's grandfather (who is her remaining parent figure) is all for the couple, too; in episode 6 he is keen to see them kiss.
* In (at least the animated adaptation of) ''Literature/LoveChunibyoAndOtherDelusions'', practically the entire class ships Yuuta and Rikka. This is especially noticeable at the start of episode 3, where the entire class gathers around and starts applauding at Yuuta's accidental Indirect Kiss. By episode 7, Nibutani makes it fairly clear that she believes Yuuta and Rikka are bound to be together eventually. Isshiki also takes a Yuuta/Rikka relationship as a given.
* ''Manga/LuckyStar'':
** Hiyori ships [[PseudoRomanticFriendship Minami/Yutaka]], as shown when a heartwarming moment between the two gives Hiyori "ideas".
** [[OtakuSurrogate Konata]] isn't as obsessed with it, but it's pretty clear she does too.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:M - P]]
* ''Anime/{{Macross}}'':
** ''Anime/SuperDimensionFortressMacross'':
*** The BridgeBunnies ship [[AcePilot Hikaru]] / [[BrokenBird Misa]]. The most vocal ones are [[CoolBigSis Claudia]] and [[{{Meganekko}} Vanessa]], with the latter [[spoiler: confronting Hikaru about Misa's feelings for him at some point]].
*** Max Jenius/[[DubNameChange Sterling]] also shipped Hikaru/Misa. He and Hayao Kakizaki/[[DubNameChange Ben Dixon]] got the "privilege" to see them [[FakeOutMakeOut kiss to distract the Zentraedi holding them hostage]], after all.
*** Most of this is brought over into the {{Macekre}}d adaptation ''Anime/{{Robotech}}'': Claudia and Vanessa often try to get Rick to realize his feelings for Lisa, as in the original, and Max still has front row to Rick and Lisa's kiss.
** In ''Anime/MacrossFrontier'', Nanase ships Alto and Ranka. Michel and Klan tend to ship [[DudeLooksLikeALady Alto]] and [[TheOjou Sheryl]], however both are inconsistent; they mostly want Alto-hime to [[LoveTriangle quit stringing them along and pick one]].
* ''Manga/MagiLabyrinthOfMagic'': Alibaba seems to ship Sharrkan and Yamuraiha, after he [[spoiler: gets engaged to Morgiana]] he suggests Sharrkan also settle down with someone, leaving Sharrkan [[{{Tsundere}} flustered]], and Yamuraiha [[ObliviousToLove confused]].
* ''Manga/MagicKnightRayearth'':
** Meet Caldina, the local CoolBigSis and [[LadyOfWar Umi]] / [[TheBeastMaster Ascot]] fangirl.
** Hikaru and Umi were [[{{Meganekko}} Fuu]] / [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold Ferio]] shippers.
** ''Mokona'' reveals itself to be this during a scouting expedition in the second half when he makes sure to pair Umi with Ascot and Fuu with Ferio. While in the anime, Makono also seems to try and pair Hikaru and Lantis.
* Shari of ''Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaStrikers'' ships [[ToyShip Erio and Caro]], even supplying Erio a date itinerary during the rookies' day-off in ''[=StrikerS=]''. An itinerary that the two of them looked at confusedly and treated like any other order from above. They're kids after all.
** In the ''Manga/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaVivid'' manga, half of the Numbers come to check out the sparring matches between Vivio and [[DarkMagicalGirl Einhart]] "because it's romantic." The other half just want to make sure nobody gets permanently hurt.
** And if the ''[[Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaAs A's]]'' DistantFinale is anything to go by, Amy ships Nanoha and Yuuno. When she calls him, she asks how things are progressing between them, and sounds disappointed when he says they're nothing more than friends. [[WordOfGay She chose the wrong ship]]. There were also a few scenes where she shipped [[MythologyGag Nanoha and Chrono]] (which is HilariousInHindsight since ''she'' ended up with Chrono).
** And then in ''Manga/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaInnocent'', Alisa and Suzuka are both [[LesYay NanoFate]] shippers. Alisa also teases Nanoha about her attraction to Fate much to the former's [[LuminescentBlush embarrassment]].
* Fairies in ''Manga/MagicalCircleGuruGuru'' love to gossip about love. Put a potential couple in front of them and they'll go out of their way to play Matchmaker.
* Suzu Sakuma in the ''Manga/MarmaladeBoy'' manga, who, when Meiko says she is in love with someone that she can't be with, jumps a mile to the conclusion that this someone is ''obviously'' her best friend's boyfriend and Suzu's tutor, Yuu. She concludes that Meiko and Yuu would be the most beautiful couple ever and plots accordingly to break up Yuu and Miki. Made absolutely hilarious by the fact that a) Meiko is actually pining for her [[HotForStudent ex-teacher]] and b) her own cousin Satoshi is Yuu's best friend and absolutely nuts for Meiko. LoveDodecahedron? Oh yeah.
** Note that in the original draft of the story, Meiko ''was'' supposed to end up with Yuu [[spoiler: after Namura's death and, apparently, Miki getting hitched back with Ginta]]....
** Miki starts shipping Meiko/Namura, then also becomes a Ginta/Arimi fan. Her boyfriend Yuu doesn't ship Meiko/Namura so openly, but the fact that [[spoiler: he was their SecretKeeper]] should say something.
** Tsutomu starts as Arimi's DoggedNiceGuy, but when she makes clear that she loves Ginta, he gives up and becomes their biggest fanboy.
* ''Manga/MamotteShugogetten'': Shaorin/Tasuke get shipped by Nana (his older sister) and Shoko (their classmate and Shao's best friend); in fact, Nana and Shoko have joined forces and are actively co-operating to get the two together.
* ''Manga/ManlyAppetitesMinegishiLovesOtsu'' has Tanaka, Otsu's kouhai. Tanaka's thoughts on Minegishi and Otsu are a jumble of confusion, annoyance, and jealousy tied together with his desperation for them to ''just get together already''. His bonus comic sees him receive a fortune telling him that he "will have better luck playing Cupid for another couple" than in his own romantic pursuits.
* In ''Anime/MarvelAnimeBlade'', [[spoiler:''Wolverine'']] gets the idea that Blade and Makoto should be a couple. They vehemently deny this.
* In the ''Mazinger'' series:
** ''Anime/MazingerZ'':
*** Shiro ships his brother [[TheHero Kouji]] and [[{{Tsundere}} Sayaka]] together.
*** Kouji also shipped his little brother with Lorelei... until things went terribly wrong.
** ''Anime/UFORoboGrendizer'': [[TheHero Duke Fleed]] constantly teases his sister Maria Grace about her and Kouji with a wide grin.
** ''Manga/ShinMazingerZero'': [[RobotGirl Minerva-X]] [[http://www.mangareader.net/930-43892-27/shin-mazinger-zero/chapter-8.html ships Kouji with Sayaka]]. [[spoiler: With good reason: in all the past timelines she has witnessed, Kouji ends up going the WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds way and one of the biggest triggers for that is him seeing Sayaka die]].
* In the ''VideoGame/MegaManStarForce'' anime, Zack happens across what he believes to be Luna and Bud on a date, which, after Luna's and Bud's loud argument in the classroom that morning, fills his head with thoughts of [[BelligerentSexualTension sexual tension]]. He spends the next episode trying to get Geo to help him set their ship's sail, only to discover he'd encountered [[OhCrap Taurus and Ophiuca in disguise]].
* ''Manga/MidoriDays''. In one chapter, Nao gives Ayase one of her father's "love potions". Ayase wonders why Nao did this, but passes it off as nothing. Later, we see Nao holding a notebook of a drawing with the three (four if you include Midori) together, holding hands.
* ''Manga/MissionYozakuraFamily'': Taiyo ships Nanao/Rinne, while Rin ships Taiyo/Mutusmi.
* ''Manga/MonsterMusume'': Mero ships Kimihito with anyone who is ''not'' herself (mainly Miia), due to her desire to be the mistress in a "tragic romance". By Chapter 37, she stills wants Miia and Kimihito to end up together...but only so that Miia can be the mistress and Mero herself can be Kimihito's girlfriend.
* Nozaki in ''Manga/MonthlyGirlsNozakiKun'' is supporting in a very roundabout way of Wakamatsu/Seo. He's very hostile to the idea of the relationship actually going anywhere due to his distaste for [[{{Jerkass}} Seo]] and concern for Wakamatsu's well being, and yet he blatantly uses them as a model for a BetaCouple in his manga. He's also curious and sometimes encouraging of Hori and Kashima (especially once [[spoiler:Hori's realized his attraction to her]], to which Nozaki responds by trying to get Hori and Kashima to hang out and bond at the pool).
* ''Manga/MoriartyThePatriot'': Billy constantly comments on how he can tell they're really close, laughs at their displays of affection, constantly teases them about it, and even swears to protect Sherlock with his life to ensure that Sherlock and William never have to live through losing the other. And then he makes a joke about their "wedding vows."
* ''Manga/MyBrideIsAMermaid'': Ren happily ships Nagasumi/Sun.
* Mina Ashido from ''Manga/MyHeroAcademia'', apart from being pink and perky, also is the first to see potential relationships all around her. Aside from Aoyama, she was the first to (correctly) deduce Uraraka has a crush and wonders if it's Midoriya or Iida since she frequently hangs out with them.[[note]]pretty good logic--Uraraka's fallen for Midoriya[[/note]] She goes all gushy when Ms. Joke banters at Aizawa, realizing there is probably something between them behind the teasing, and during the Joint Training Exercise, seeing All Might and Midnight together makes her wonder. At the end of said exercise, the first thing she did was tease Uraraka about how quickly she leaped to Midoriya's aid.
--> '''Ashido:''' Bet you hugged him real hard, didn't ya?\
''[Uraraka [[LuminescentBlush turns red as a tomato]].]''
** Some of Midoriya's classmates also seem to have noticed how well the two get along with each other, such as Kaminari (at the ''very'' beginning of the series), Asui, and a shocked [[LovableSexManiac Mineta]].
** A flashback arc in ''Manga/MyHeroAcademiaVigilantes'' depicts young Oboro lightheartedly shipping [[FanPreferredCouple Eraser and Mic]], and, [[ShipperWithAnAgenda apparently]], [[OneTrueThreesome himself]].
---> '''Oboro:''' Whoa there, Hizashi! Got yer hands all over Shouta, do you? Outrageous! Scandalous! Shameful! [[BaitAndSwitch Let me in on it!]]
* Hilariously played in ''Anime/MyHime'': Mai Tokiha's YaoiFangirl classmates [[HoYay ship]] her soft-spoken, DelicateAndSickly little brother Takumi with his [[SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan manly man roommate]], Akira Okuzaki. [[OfficialCouple Their fantasies come true]], except that [[{{Bifauxnen}} Akira]] is not quite as manly as "he", or better said, [[SweetPollyOliver "she" seems]]...
** Shiho asks Mai to become one for her and Yuuichi in Episode 6, and Mai accepts. Unfortunately, when Yuuichi expresses his love for Mai with Shiho present in Episode 13, Shiho becomes very angry and accuses Mai of lying to her.
* [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} Natsume]] in ''Manga/MyLittleMonster'' ships Shizuku and Haru very passionately, even going as far as confronting [[RomanticRunnerUp Yamaken]], and telling him to not interfere in their relationship.
* In ''Manga/MyMonsterSecret'', pretty much ''everyone'' supports Youko and Asahi pairing up, even the girls who have their own designs on him:
** Akane, [[TricksterMentor in her own way]], is clearly trying to get them together, to the point that [[spoiler: when they finally do start dating, [[FunnyBackgroundEvent she can be seen jumping for joy in the background]]. Although she does have an (admittedly benevolent) ulterior motive, namely that their relationship is proof that humans and non-humans can peacefully coexist]].
** Youko's mother also clearly supports the pairing; she even gets frustrated when Asahi ''doesn't'' make a move on Youko. Youko's father is a little less happy, though that's less because he dislikes Asahi and more that his own past experiences color his attitude. Once get gets over that, he's perfectly fine with them pairing up.
** A major part of Nagisa's character arc is the fact that she wants to wholeheartedly support Asahi and Youko's relationship, in spite of the fact that she herself is in love with Asahi. It causes her quite a bit of angst over the course of the series.
** Later on, pretty much the entire school (minus Akane) is united in their support of Sakurada and [[spoiler: Akari]].
* Early in ''Manga/MyLoveStory'', Takeo ships his best friend Suna with Rinko Yamato. However, it quickly becomes blindingly obvious that Yamato likes ''Takeo'', who is ObliviousToLove after a lifetime of seeing girls prefer Suna. As a result, his shipping nearly blows the whole thing until Suna, who's fully aware of who likes who, plays shipper himself and gets Yamato to confess her feelings multiple times while Takeo is in earshot. After they're a couple, Rinko offers to hook up Suna with a friend and gets promptly shot down.
* Oosaki Nana of ''Manga/{{Nana}}'' ships Hachi and Nobu and is angry and disappointed when [[spoiler: Hachi gets pregrant and chooses Takumi]].
* ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'':
** Ino and Kakashi shipped Asuma/Kurenai long before ''anyone'' else was wise to their relationship. In one scene, Ino knows the [[FlowersOfRomance flowers Asuma wants are for Kurenai]] before he even tells her.
** In the flashbacks, Nagato (young Pain) was a Konan/Yahiko fanboy.
** Sai plays with this trope for two different pairings:
*** {{Subverted|Trope}} -- He tells Sakura how Naruto feels about her; however, [[JerkassHasAPoint he also points out]], [[BrutalHonesty in a brutally honest manner]], that Naruto's feelings for both her and Sasuke [[https://78.media.tumblr.com/b4e9b17f137fb89ae8c68f9bedbb8120/tumblr_inline_p500y7d5Qw1vololo_540.png cause him a lot of pain]].
*** Played Straight -- Conversely, he supports Naruto/Hinata in the {{canon}} movie ''Anime/TheLastNarutoTheMovie'' and ''VideoGame/NarutoShippudenUltimateNinjaStorm4''. In the movie, he teases Naruto about [[OneTrueLove his love]] for Hinata and later, with Sakura and Shikamaru, sports a genuine smile as Naruto and Hinata share a very tender moment. In the game, after Sai overhears a conversation between Ino, Tenten, Sakura and Hinata in an Adventure Mode sidequest, he thinks Naruto is a lucky guy to have Hinata because [[NiceGirl she's close to him and cares about him]].
** Kiba approves of Hinata's attraction to Naruto and even considers it to be mutual; when the entire Alliance arrives to back up Naruto, Bee, Kakashi and Guy in Chapter 611, Kiba cheerfully ribs Naruto about [[InsecureLoveInterest "acting tough" in Hinata's presence to look cool in front of her]]. He's one of the first people to notice Hinata's feelings for Naruto, giving a few contemplative glances to this effect during the Chunin Exams arc.
** Kurenai also notices Hinata's crush on Naruto in the Chunin Exams preliminaries and she convinces the blond to take the medicine offered to him by Hinata.
** Neji also ships Naruto/Hinata, suggesting that Hinata should see Naruto off at the end of Part I. He even lectures Naruto before his death that Naruto's life belongs not only to himself but to Hinata as well, as Hinata is [[NotAfraidToDie willing to die to protect Naruto]] because of her love for him.
** In ''Shippuden'' Episode 279, [[TheStoic Shino]] refers to Hinata's feelings for Naruto as the most crucial secret of the Allied Forces, much to her embarrassment.
** Kakashi is quite the Sasuke/Sakura and Naruto/Hinata shipper. Regarding the first, in Chapter 693, he speaks on behalf of Sakura and lectures Sasuke on [[SingleTargetSexuality how much Sakura loves him]] and how far she's willing to go for him. Regarding the second, in ''Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4'', he forms a mission between Naruto, Sakura, and Hinata [[TheMatchmaker in the hopes that Naruto and Hinata would get together]].
** Naruto ships Sasuke/Sakura. This had been implied ever since Chapter 172, and it gradually became more obvious after [[ShipSinking Naruto rejected Sakura]] in Chapter 469 and then when Team 7 reunited in the [[WarArc Fourth Shinobi World War Arc]], but Chapter 699 fully confirmed it, where Naruto has a genuinely warm smile on his face as he watches [[HeelFaceTurn Sasuke sincerely apologize to Sakura]] for everything that he's put her through.
** Sakura is a Naruto/Hinata shipper. This was first implied in Chapter 80, when she happily agrees with Lee that [[BirdsOfAFeather Naruto and Hinata are very similar to each other]]. By ''The Last'', she becomes the full-fledged captain of the pairing, as shown by her encouraging Hinata to give Naruto her [[RedStringOfFate red scarf]], and then helping Naruto realize that Hinata [[spoiler:didn't actually reject him because Hinata has always loved him]], which helps Naruto get his HeroicSecondWind. She also doubles as TheMatchmaker in ''Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4''.
** [[AllThereInTheManual In the novelization]] of ''The Last'', upon finding out that Naruto confessed his love to Hinata [[spoiler:and got rejected]], Shikamaru thinks to himself that everyone in the Konoha 11 and other surrounding friends has been a Naruto/Hinata shipper for quite some time, but they continually worried about it throughout the years due to [[CannotSpitItOut Hinata's shyness]] and [[ObliviousToLove Naruto's obliviousness]] towards [[EveryoneCanSeeIt her feelings]].
* ''Manga/NegimaMagisterNegiMagi'' has so many examples it's probably tidier to sort by the shipped pairs:
** Negi/[[TheMedic Konoka]]: As supported three times by her grandfather Konoemon. The cheerleading team girls as well (Misa, Madoka and Sakurako), after [[DatePeepers seeing them shopping together]], though Ayaka overrides them afterwards.
** Negi/[[ShrinkingViolet Nodoka]]: Yue, Haruna, Asakura, Setsuna, Asuna and Konoka. Craig and Aisha[[note]] Nodoka's fellow treasure hunters in Mundus Magicus[[/note]] seem to be shipping them as well...
** Negi/[[ThePhilosopher Yue]]: Haruna. Makie and Natsumi have joined in.
** Negi/Nodoka/Yue: Nodoka. (She initially ''thought'' she was Negi/Yue, but [[CovertPervert then she read her own mind]].)
** Negi/[[MetaGuy Chisame]]: Jack Rakan.
** Negi/[[RidiculouslyHumanRobot Chachamaru]]: Asakura and Hakase. And MAYBE Evangeline, though she's mostly just pushing the latter party to ''try'' for a relationship.
*** A variation of this one is seen later, as Negi/Chachamaru/Evangeline... coming ''from Chachamaru herself''. Or at least her LotusEaterMachine, which shows them WalkingTheEarth together.
** Negi/[[OurVampiresAreDifferent Evangeline]]: Albireo Imma, although this may be just to toy with her. And it seems even [[SupremeChef Satsuki]] is shipping them as well, judging from her ArmorPiercingQuestion about the possibility of Negi having feelings for her.
** Negi/[[IronWoobie Ako]] and Negi/[[GenkiGirl Makie]]: Akira. Though she seems [[MatchmakerCrush to have some interest on Negi too]].
** Negi/[[AntiVillain Fate]]: Tsukuyomi, who is so adamant about it that she taunts Fate by telling him she's gonna finish Negi off herself... and is utterly ''delighted'' when he immediately reacts, defeats her [[CloseCallHaircut and chops off her long hair]]. Even ''[[RealityWarper Dynamis]]'' can see Fate's attachment to Negi. Fate himself later admits it pretty openly. One has to wonder how come it took Negi to reach EvenTheGuysWantHim status...
** Negi/Fate/[[DarkMagicalGirl Luna a.k.a. Shiori]]: Luna herself, according to her share of the LotusEaterMachine in which she, Negi and Fate walk to school together.
** Konoka/Setsuna: Practically '''''everyone''''' ships them. [[AlternativeCharacterInterpretation Konoka]] [[TheTease may or may not be aware of this]]. [[spoiler:Which may have greatly influenced their Pactio]].
** Kotarou/Natsumi: Haruna and Mama Bear. Possibly Chizuru, as she kinda helped it get started.
** Nagi/Arika: The entire Ala Rubra, including Kurt Godel, who secretly had feelings for Arika himself.
** Ako/Tohsaka: Mama Bear, who encouraged him to [[DanceOfRomance dance with her]] in the huge ball... [[spoiler: before things go horribly wrong and she and Tohsaka [[NeverSayDie got rewritten]]]].
** Asuna/Takahata: Ayaka, as seen here. [[spoiler:When Takahata rejects Asuna because [[HeroicSelfDeprecation he doesn't believe]] he's worthy of love, Ayaka is the one who comforts her]].
** And of course Chamo ships every pairing that he's aware of, [[ShipperWithAnAgenda mostly because he gets oodles of cash every time he brokers a pactio]][[note]]a magical contract where a mage gives a mundane partner power and possibly a powerful artifact in exchange for aid in battle[[/note]], and since the pactios are typically made by kissing...
* ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion'':
** Touji and Hikari appear to be Asuka/Shinji shippers, though only by observation and also very briefly, as RunningGag his own personal issues quickly redirect his attention as the show progresses.
** Kaji supports Shinji and Asuka, wishing that both children make each other happy and Asuka stops being infatuated with him. In the manga, though he behaves a little more actively in hooking them up.
* In ''Manga/NewGame'', Shizuku supports Kou/Rin, likes to tease the latter about it, and sometimes tries to set the mood for the two.
* In ''Manga/NurseAngelRirikaSOS'', both Anna and Karin encourage Seiya to confess to Ririka and want them to be together. [[spoiler:It doesn't happen]].
* Junpei gets shipped by several people in ''Manga/NyanKoi'':
** His family seems to ship him with the Kirishima twins.
** Nagi supports Junpei/[[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} Mizuno]], [[spoiler:although her brother has stated that he supports Junpei/Nagi]].
** Nyamsus ships Junpei/[[UnluckyChildhoodFriend Kan]][[VictoriousChildhoodFriend ako]].
** [[spoiler:Akari pushes for Junpei/Kanako, although she doesn't mind Junpei/Mizuno too as long as she gets Kotone out of the LoveDodecahedron]].
** [[spoiler:Mizuno, being still oblivious to her own feelings for Junpei (along with an IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy), seems quite supportive on Junpei/Kanako, to the point of believing that the two are already dating]].
* Almost everyone from ''Manga/{{Ojojojo}}'' ships [[OfficialCouple Haru/Tsurezure]]. Akane is the most active supporter, having tried to get them together even before they realized their feelings for one another ([[spoiler:[[ShipperWithAnAgenda though she has a reason for doing so]]]]). Haru, in turn, starts shipping Akane with Chris.
* ''Manga/OnePiece'':
** Several [[AdaptationExpansion anime-only scenes]] have two conductors from the [[CityofCanals Water 7]] train station ship Nami and Paulie together after seeing what appeared to be, to them, [[MistakenForRomance a breakup]].
** After the TimeSkip, most of the [[AmazonBrigade Kuja]] support [[WorldsMostBeautifulWoman Hancock's]] crush on [[ChasteHero Luffy]].
** Brook comments approvingly on a [[HoYay rather romantic-seeming moment]] between Zoro and Sanji--during the Punk Hazard arc, in which Sanji's mind was stuck in Nami's body. This leaves it ambiguous (or perhaps [[HideYourLesbians plausibly deniable]]) exactly ''which'' pair Brook is shipping, but we know he's shipping ''something''. (Ultimately, his native series' [[NoHuggingNoKissing non-romantic nature]] means he'll be disappointed either way.)
** Reiju happily supported her brother Sanji’s ArrangedMarriage with Pudding... [[spoiler: until Pudding revealed she was EvilAllAlong by shooting Reiju. Afterwards Reiju encouraged Sanji to return to his crew]].
* Both Kakeru and Uta, in ''Anime/OnegaiMyMelody'', are CannotSpitItOut types. Unsurprisingly various characters attempt to ship them -- Flat the mouse, in particular, exists for no other purpose. And in Season 2, even Kakeru's romantic rival Jun Hiiragi can't help but plod him along.
* In ''Manga/{{Otomen}}'', Juta heavily ships Asuka and Ryo, [[spoiler: because he uses them as the models for [[ShowWithinAShow the manga he draws]]]].
* Judging by her reaction to [[spoiler:the confession scene in]] Episode 17, little princess Ana Medaiyu in ''Anime/OvermanKingGainer'' seems to ship Gainer/Sara. And, in some fanfiction, so does Cynthia.
* In ''Manga/PandoraHearts'', [[TheOjou Sharon]] is an avid Oz/Alice shipper.
** In an omake, Gilbert and Lottie are shown to be this for [[spoiler:Sharon and Reim]].
* In ''Anime/{{Penguindrum}}'s'' episode 6, after Shouma Takakura takes the feverish Ringo Oginome home back home, Ringo's mother Eriko doesn't seem very convinced when Shouma says that he and Ringo are JustFriends... To be "fair", she just saw Ringo pretty much ''humping'' Shoma in a feverish pitch.
** As of episode 11, it looks like Himari might ship Shoma/Ringo. She notices that Shoma cooks a special cabbage recipe ''only'' when he wants to make up with someone else, and then deduces he's worried for Ringo and says "I hope Ringo-chan likes cabbage!" Though this being [[ThePollyanna Himari]], she might be meaning this in more of a friendshippy take. [[spoiler: Her "possessor", however... well, we don't know. [[ChaoticNeutral She's a wild card]]]].
** Even more so: ''[[TheOjou Yuri]]'', the girlfriend of Ringo's crush Tabuki, also ships it. (Conveniently for her, but still). Yuri ''does'' ask Ringo if she loves him in that same episode and isn't convinced when Ringo denies it, claiming that she could see it coming from a mile away or something like that. [[spoiler: Then it's subverted [[AssPull shockingly]] in episode 14 (when she drugs Ringo and tries to rape her [[LovingAShadow because she looks like her sister Momoka]] aka Yuri's long-lost first love) and played kinda straighter in episode 15 (when, after Shoma fails to help Ringo and is knocked out, Yuri places him next to a sleeping Ringo, and when he recovers she teassingly asks him if he won't take advantage of her)]].)
* In ''Anime/PleaseTeacher'', Ichigo wants Koishi to be happy with Kei, and chews Kei out and then goes into an AngstComa when he turns her down. The rest of the class also supported the pairing, referring to Kei as having "dumped" Koishi when they had never had a relationship in the first place.

* ''Anime/PersiaTheMagicFairy'': [[spoiler:Riki supports Gaku/Persia, initially viewing Persia as a bratty little sister, until he realizes her and Gaku have a genuine love for each other.]]
* ''Anime/Persona4TheAnimation'' has Yosuke trying to be this for Yu×Chie. This is due to him misunderstanding Chie on some points; and, you know, that he's a colossal idiot.
* ''Anime/PokemonTheSeries'':
** [[FanGirl Brianna]], [[CoolBigSis Soledad]], [[LargeHam Harley]], and [[WithFriendsLikeThese Drew's own Roselia]] are [=ContestShippers=]. Even ''Jessie'' seemed genuinely interested in the proceedings, talking about love and romance upon seeing them and weirding the hell out of James and Meowth.
** Poor Ash Ketchum has been shipped with every female companion in the series by some Character of the Day or other. For instance, Lyra (the [=HeartGold/SouldSilver=] female lead) showed herself to be a Pearlshipper (Ash/Dawn).
** In [[https://pokemon.wikia.com/wiki/OI003:_Pok%C3%A9_Ball_Peril Poké Ball Peril]], Team Rocket locks Ash and Misty in a cage. Here's what they do next...
--> '''James''': Jessie, I think we've accidentally captured a pair of very romantic creatures in our little cage!
--> '''Jessie''': ''(making lovey-dovey eyes)'' You mean? Daaaaawwww!
--> '''Meowth''': Dey're loveboids!
--> '''Ash''': (Ash and Misty look at each other for a second before turning away, blushing) -You're crazy!
--> '''Misty''': Crazy is right! Never in a million years!
--> '''Jessie''': ''(Jessie and James are doubled over while Meowth is rolling on the floor)'' But you're blushing!
--> '''James''': Kissy, kissy!
** The episode "[[http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/EP100 Wherefore Art Thou Pokémon]]" has Ash's group (and ''specially'', [[CutenessProximity Misty]]) fervently shipping the male Nidoran Tony and the female Nidoran Maria. (Note the ''Theatre/WestSideStory'' ShoutOut). Their owners Ralph and Emily were quite bitter rivals, so they try to hitch them up too and make them a BattleCouple. And it ultimately works.
** In that same episode, Tracey, [[TheScrappy who had quite a hatedom by then]], frequently [[ShipTease teased Ash and Misty about having feelings]] for each other and actually seemed to be more of a shipper than anyone else before or after would be on the show (Team Rocket had a laugh about it, but were ultimately more interested in catching Pikachu earlier in the season).
** In the Japanese version of ''Anime/{{Pokemon 2000}}'', Jessie tells Misty and Melody that they're too young to worry about relationships, and James adds that "even we don't talk about such things". Meowth responds to Jessie and James by saying, "Whatever you say. You two act love-love all the time!" In the English dub, Meowth's line is changed to "Yous two don't need the opposite sex 'cuz you got each other!". He promptly gets yelled at for his trouble.
** Dawn, May (and maybe Ash) appear to be [=LagomorphShippers=] (Pikachu/Buneary). Bonus points in that that's a perfectly legitimate pairing in the games.
** Spoofed with [[http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Oscar_and_Andi Oscar and Andi]], a BattleCouple and {{Captain Ersatz}}s of [[Manga/TheRoseOfVersailles Oscar and André]] who just won't stop shipping Ash with May and Jessie with James.
** In ''Best Wishes'' [[HotBlooded Stephan]] seems to be a [=SommelierShipper=] (Cilan/Burgundy) judging by his interaction with both of them and is obviously trying to get the two do stuff together (AKA the Sommelier battle). [[{{Tsundere}} Burgundy]] didn't take this well and Cilan [[OblivioustoLove seems oblivious]] (or is he?).
** Max, in the Japanese version, is a subtle Advanceshipper, since he mentions that he was happy in seeing his sister and Ash travelling together.
** Miette in XY pretends to be a romantic rival to Serena for Ash's affections, but it's implied she's only doing it so Serena can get out of her CannotSpitItOut stage.
** Out-of-universe Amourshippers are also recently thrown a bone when Bonnie, who was so obsessed with trying to hook her brother up with any girl the group meets, has finally taken notice of the complicated LoveTriangle that was Serena-Ash-Miette.
** And when Bonnie isn't shipping Ash and Serena, she's shipping her big brother Clemont with any older girl she meets. This embarrasses him every time.
** Both Hobbes (Lillie's butler) and Delia Ketchum (Ash's mother) appear to be [=AureliaShipper=]s, as the former is grateful to Ash for looking after Lillie, and the latter finds their relationship sweet, but believes that Ash is the one being looked after.
%%** Lana's baby sisters and Island Kahuna Olivia have both teased [=BlueAngelShipping=], giving Lana a bright LuminescentBlush.
%%^ What even is "BlueAngelShipping"? Say the characters' names instead of a term that not everyone will understand.
* In ''Manga/PrecariousWomanExecutiveMissBlackGeneral'', the General and Scientist support Boss/Secretary.
* In ''Manga/ThePrinceOfTennis'', Momo, Inui and Eiji are Ryoma/Sakuno shippers. In the anime, so is Ryoma's ''father'' Nanjiroh.
** In last manga chapter/OAV: [[spoiler:Inui comments on how naive Tezuka is as he hears the other tell Fuji to not speak about [[WhenHeSmiles how he *can* smile]], and this makes Inui look like a Tezuka/Fuji fanboy]].
* In ''Manga/ProjectARMS'', Yugo ships Ryo and Katsumi after realizing how much they love each other. [[spoiler:Keith Green does too, though it's very brief since he dies not long after he decides this]].
* ''Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica'':
** The [[NiceGirl usually sweet and quiet]] Hitomi Shizuki reacts with hilarious [[YuriFan excitement]] when she believes that her friends [[RosehairedSweetie Madoka]] and [[TomBoy Sayaka's]] relationship has "progressed", when it hasn't. [[spoiler:FridgeBrilliance kicks in when you realize that Hitomi is in love with Kyousuke Kamijou ([[LoveTriangle who Sayaka *is* actually in love with)]] and that she was probably hoping that Sayaka was a lesbian or a lesbian-leaning bi that would prefer Madoka over Kamijou, thus both girls would be happy with their respective "love interests" and there'd be no need to "fight" over him. [[LoveHurts Overall, it doesn't end well]]]].
** Sayaka plays it straighter in the manga, when she imagines [[LesYay Homura and Madoka]] embracing while calling it "the mystery of the universe"
** In ''[[Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagicaTheMovieRebellion Rebellion]]'', ''Homura'' somewhat makes her opinion known on that matter, in a rather twisted way. Twice. [[spoiler:By creating an 'ideal world' inside her witch barrier, and later by rewriting reality. In both worlds she has Sayaka-Kamijou-Hitomi LoveTriangle resolved by preserving Hitomi and Kyousuke's relationship, and [[YuriFan apparently opts]] for Sayaka to be in a PseudoRomanticFriendship with Kyoko. Also, it seems like she's somewhat fascinated by the idea of Mami and Nagisa/Charlotte together]]. [[PanderingToTheFanbase Hmmmm...]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Q - Y]]
* ''[[Anime/QueensBlade Queen's Blade: Hide & Seek]]'' has an incestuous example. In chapter 28, Leina reveals that she knows about her older sister, Claudette's, feelings for their younger sister, [[CatGirl Elina]]. She not only tells Claudette that she shouldn't hide her feelings, but basically says she's okay with the idea of them [[BrotherSisterIncest being together]].
* ''Manga/RanmaOneHalf'':
** Ukyō Kuonji tries to set up Akane/Ryōga a few times, since she's in love with Akane's fiancé Ranma. Unfortunately, since Ryōga is a combination of NoSocialSkills and [[CanNotSpitItOut horribly shy]], it's usually a disaster. Shampoo also tries a cruder version of this by ''brainwashing'' Akane into falling in love with Ryōga, with equally disastrous results.
** In the manga Ranma himself ships Ryōga and Akari, and so does Akane. Ranma and Akane even teamed up to ship them once.
** OVA 10 has Ryoga and Ukyo attempting to break up Rakane, which ultimately backfires due to a misunderstanding that ends with Ranma and Akane shipping ''them''.
** In at least one episode of the anime, Mousse ships Ranma and Akane. Of course, he makes no secret of the fact that's because it should [[PairTheSpares leave him with Shampoo by default]].
** Akane blatantly ships Kasumi and Dr. Tōfū once she gets over her own PrecociousCrush on him, despite Kasumi's obliviousness to Dr. Tōfū's feelings.
** And, of course the uber-examples, Sōun and Genma, who engaged Ranma and Akane in the first place and ship them at every opportunity thereafter. Kasumi, Nabiki, and Nodoka all have their moments of Ranma/Akane shipping as well. Dr. Tofu seems to ship Ranma/Akane right from the start, as well.
** When Genma was going to make Ryoga his aire to the Saotome School of Anything Goes Martial Arts he along with Tendo, Kasumi, and Nabiki start to ship Ryoga and Akane.
* ''Manga/TheRedRangerBecomesAnAdventurerInAnotherWorld'': When Red is about to take a dip in an outdoor bath to clean up after a long day of training, Teltina purposefully neglects to tell him that Idola is still in the bath so they'll run into each other naked.
* In ''Manga/RedRiver1995'', [[EveryoneCanSeeIt pretty much all of Kail's friends, close servants, subordinates, and brothers]] ship Kail with Yuri ([[MatchmakerCrush including the ones who like Yuri too]]), believing that [[LadykillerInLove she's the first woman he truly loves]]. Yuri's maids also ship the two, trying to arrange romantic moments between them. Even the more pragmatic [[ThesmartGuy Ilbani]] gets in on it, after he accepts that Yuri is someone intelligent, strong, and capable enough to be Kail's queen. And Yuri's maid Ursula ships Kail/Yuri so ''hard'' that she hilariously beats up her boyfriend Kash (who mind you, is a member of Kail's BadassCrew) when [[SayingTooMuch he cracks some bad jokes]] about Kail and [[spoiler: Lady Guzel]]
** Yuri herself ships the aforementioned Ursula and Kash, as well as [[TwinThreesomeFantasy the twins Shala and Ryuhi with local bookworm Kikkuri]], as [[AllLovingHero she's happy to know her friends have love for themselves too]]. [[spoiler: Understandably, the poor girl has a huge HeroicBSOD when poor Ursula goes through an HeroicSacrifice]].
* In ''Manga/RentAGirlfriend'', after Kazuya tells Mini about Chizuru, she's absolutely determined to see that they end up together, and later manipulates events to get them alone in hopes that they get it on.
** Yoshiaki ships Kazuya and Chizuru, since Chizuru seems to be the one person willing to stand up for Kazuya and acknowledge his good traits.
** Nagomi ships Kazuya and Chizuru, unaware that they aren't in a real relationship, and does whatever she can to get them to be closer to each other.
* ''Anime/RomeoXJuliet'':
** Tybalt, [[TroubledButCute of all people]], ships Romeo/Juliet. Rather ironic when you consider his role in the original work...
** Cordelia and Antonio are Rome/Juli shippers too.
** Even Ciello, Romeo's ''[[CoolHorse flying horse]]'', seems to ship Romeo/Juliet, considering all the times he's suddenly swooped down and landed in an apparently random, out of the way place so that they'll meet up, and that time he got them to ride him together.
** Juliet is a Benvolio/Cordelia fangirl. [[spoiler: She gets to see them get married, but doesn't live enough to [[BabiesEverAfter meet their first child]], of whom she would've surely been the godmother if she had survived]].
* ''Manga/RosarioPlusVampire'':
** [[TokenMiniMoe Yukari]] ships Moka and Tsukune, primarily because she has simultaneous crushes on both of them and she thinks [[OT3 getting a threesome]] would be easier if the other two are already together.
** [[TheTriadsAndTheTongs Fong-Fong]] also ships the two of them, mostly because he wants them to join the mafia as a powerful BattleCouple. [[FridgeBrilliance Which makes even more sense]] when you realize his parents are ''also'' a BattleCouple.
* ''Manga/RurouniKenshin'':
** Tae, Sanosuke, Yahiko, Tsubame, and later [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy Megumi]] are diehard Kenshin/Kaoru fans.
** In the anime, Yahiko teases Sanosuke and Megumi via acting the trope. [[http://heckyeahruroken.tumblr.com/post/43754047090 It does not go well...for Yahiko]].
** The anime has a {{filler}} episode where Kenshin, Kaoru, and almost everyone else were rooting for [[SavvyGuyEnergeticGirl Misao and Aoshi]].
** The OAV and original manga have Kenshin's BigBrotherMentor Katsura supporting his and [[spoiler: Tomoe]]'s relationship, though in his case he knows about [[BroodingBoyGentleGirl her calming influence on him]].
** In some flashbacks we see a pre-teen girl named Tsubaki, who has a PrecociousCrush on her caretaker [[spoiler: Anji Yukyuzan]]. Her younger friends support her feelings for him and openly tell her that they'll pray so they can get married once SheIsAllGrownUp, [[{{Tsundere}} much to the girl's embarrassment]] [[HeIsNotMyBoyfriend and blushy denials]]. [[spoiler: In a cruel subversion, Tsubaki and her friends get ''murdered'' instead, and their deaths cause Anji to plummet through the DespairEventHorizon]].
* ''Anime/SailorMoon'':
** Usagi ships Rei and Yuuichirou for an episode. She also ships Haruka/Michiru ([[OfficialCouple though they don't need it]]) and is generally the "everyone deserves love" girl of the series.
** She also ships Naru and Umino, mostly to help Naru out of her depression after [[spoiler:Nephrite]] dies, and later for real once she sees the pairing more or less works. In an exception, she did ''not'' ship Naru with [[spoiler:Nephrite]] himself, since she knew that he was [[spoiler:working for the Dark Kingdom and thought he wasn't good for Naru; she was still sad when, in the end, [[LoveRedeems he came to love her]]... [[RedemptionEqualsDeath and died]]]].
** Also, as soon as Rei understood that Mamoru and Usagi were destined to be together, she stepped aside immediately and urged Usagi to act on her feelings. [[spoiler: This is given a small nod in ''Stars'', where she also speaks to Usagi abut Seiya's feelings]].
** In one episode, Usagi uses Umino as a pawn to eavesdrop on Rei and Mamoru at a restaurant. After the girls defeat the MonsterOfTheWeek, Umino catches up to them and blurts out that he and Usagi shared a milkshake and went for a walk in the park. Despite Usagi's objectons, Rei, Mamoru, Ami and even the park's caretaker think she and Umino dated.
* Haruka from ''Manga/SakuraTrick'' ships Shizuku x Kotone and Yuzu x Kaede. Though that former case is more [[YuriFan fangirling an existing relationship]].
* In ''Manga/SayonaraZetsubouSensei'', {{Cloudcuckoolander}} Kafuka ships [[OneTrueThreesome virtually the entire female half of the class (or at least the 12 main girls)]] with Nozomu, ''along with herself as well''. [[spoiler: It turns out this makes sense, since all the girls ''are'' her through a reverse SplitPersonality: through her organs being donated to all those girls, she lived on through them]].
* Joe, Jinpei and Ryu to Ken and Jun on ''Anime/ScienceNinjaTeamGatchaman''. At the end, [[spoiler: Joe even tells Ken and Jun to quit the team and build a life together as he's dying]].
* ''Manga/SchoolRumble'':
** Weird variation. [[TheDitz Tenma]] [[GenkiGirl Tsukamoto]] knows that [[TheHero Kenji]] [[{{Delinquents}} Harima]] is deeply and desperately in love with a young girl whose name she doesn't know, and actively supports him in his pursue of her. Something else Tenma ignores is... that ''she'' is the girl Harima is crushing on.
** The random old guy who shows up to give Hanai mysterious advice (no, he's not an OldMaster, he's just some guy) ships Mikoto with Hanai or Aso, depending on who's closest at the moment.
--->'''Old Guy:''' He's off his guard! If you want to score, now's your chance, you sexy little squirrel!\
'''Mikoto:''' Say ''what!?''
* ''VideoGame/SengokuBasara'' anime:
** Keiji is an enthusiastic supporter of Kenshin/Kasuga, despite Kasuga's embarrassed protests.
** On the opposite side, Yukimura seems to ship Sasuke/Kasuga, again despite her protests.
* Kaoru of ''Manga/ServantXService'' supports Lucy/Yutaka, to the point that she sets up a gambit to make her brother's one-sided crush on Lucy a mutual one.
* In ''Manga/TheSevenDeadlySins'', Ban supports Meliodas' relationship with Elizabeth because he's been [[StarCrossedLovers where Meliodas is]], and he wants his bro to be happy. The sentiment is returned.
* ''Manga/SgtFrog'':
** Giroro's pet cat seems to know her owner has a serious crush on Natsumi, and seems to alternate between being jealous and resenting her for [[AllLoveIsUnrequited not reciprocating]], [[ObliviousToLove or even noticing]], Giroro's feelings.
** Natsumi seems to be this for Fuyuki/Momoka. In one episode, Momoka called Fuyuki, causing Natsumi to have a mischievous look, nudge Fuyuki, and encourage him to go get her. However, Fuyuki, being ObliviousToLove, didn't get it. Aki seems to be one as well to a lesser extent.
* ''Manga/ASilentVoice'':
** Shouko's younger sister Yuzuru doesn't hide the fact that she ships Shouko and Shoya, besides encouraging the latter to compliment Shouko way more, she outright tells Shoya he should hurry up and kiss Shouko already. Later on in the manga Shouko's best friend Mikoyo, Shoya's mother Miyako and even Shouko's mother Yaeko (who previously hated Shoya) get on board and ship Shouko and Shoya as well.
** A more subtle one is Kawai actively pushing Ishida and Ueno back together by arranging a get-together at a theme park. This is disturbing when one remembers what Ueno, Kawai and their friends did to Shouko and later Shoya in elementary school and especially now that Ishida and Shouko are getting closer.
* ''Manga/SilverNina'': Just about everyone ships ChildhoodFriends Tomoe and Shutaro. Them becoming an item is easier said than done, since there's a bit of resentment between them due to Shutaro's failed attempt to make it big in the city.
* ''Manga/SkipBeat'':
** Yashiro does his best to get Ren together with Kyouko [[spoiler: and even goes to far as to attempt forcing Ren to admit that he loves Kyouko and telling Kyouko bluntly that Ren loves her -- Ren gets annoyed with this behavior, while Kyouko completely ignores it]].
** On another ship, [[spoiler:Shoko]] in later chapters [[spoiler: serves as the opposing Shipper On Deck, as a Sho/Kyouko fangirl. She, at first, doesn't believe that they are not dating. Later, she tries to make Sho admit that he has feelings toward Kyouko, going so far as to]] -- in the Valentine's arc -- [[spoiler:take him to visit Kyouko at work on Valentine's Day to "win her back". He proceeds to steal her FirstKiss in front of Ren (and Yashiro) but turns the situation into a declaration of war on Ren rather than a proclamation of love for Kyouko]]
* In ''Manga/SnowWhiteWithTheRedHair'' Zen's aides Kiki and Mitsuhide support his romance with Shirayuki seemingly even before either he or Shirayuki notice or develop romantic feelings for one another. Interestingly Obi ships them as well, making multiple attempts to give Zen good dating advice even though he's admitted to having romantic feelings for Shirayuki and "liking" Zen. Obi also ships Kiki and Mitstuhide but mostly does so by flirting with Kiki to annoy Mitsuhide since he knows TheStoic Kiki has only got eyes for the tall knight.
* In ''Manga/SoulEater'', the otherwise [[SeriousBusiness strait-laced]] Azusa Yumi just might possibly be one of these for [[OldMaid Marie Mjolnir]] and [[MadScientist Dr. Franken Stein]], judging by her rather uncharacteristic willingness to needle Marie about their past relationship.
* Magma from ''Anime/SpiderRiders'' seems to be a Hunter/Corona shipper. While [[spoiler:the hero Quake/Brade]] seems to think Hunter/Aqune would be just as good as a pairing.
* ''Manga/StoryOfADumbPrefectAndHighSchoolGirlWithInappropriateSkirtLength'': Akina and Tasaki are this towards Poemu and Sakuradaimon [[spoiler:before they start officially going out, at least]]. Meanwhile Poemu and Tasaki act like this towards Akina and Izubuchi. Then there's Fujiko Chouno, the president of the Manga Club, who just loves ships in general and tries to help out Nadeshiko and Kaoru. As she herself says, she might be a [[YaoiFangirl BL connoisseur]] but she loves hetero ships too.
* Ryou, the lesbian VisualKei idol from ''Manga/StrawberryShakeSweet''. Her {{Gaydar}} is so powerful, she can literally ''see'' the [[UnresolvedSexualTension sexual tension]] between the protagonists Julia and Ran; and though it's never explicitly stated, her actions in certain episodes make it plainly obvious that she's trying to get the two girls together.
* In ''Anime/SuperDimensionCavalrySouthernCross'', a.k.a. ''Anime/{{Robotech}} Second Generation'', [[ActionGirl Dana/Jeanne]] supported her best friend Bowie's love for Musicaa despite the DatingCatwoman aspect.
** JustifiedTrope in the ''Robotech'' continuity: Dana's the result of a similar relationship (a human Veritech ace and the female Zentraedi who micronized herself and snuck aboard to kill him for beating her in battle but fell in love with him), so she can understand Bowie's plea better than anyone else.
* In ''Manga/Switch2002'', Hiki encourages Mari's affection for Kai and tries to create opportunities for her to confess to him.
* Iwashida from ''Manga/{{SWOT}}'' ships his two new-found friends: [[BadassBookworm Manabizaki]] and [[{{Delinquents}} Hasuno]]. Mostly because the former is [[LuminescentBlush so]] [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial obvious]] about his crush on the latter, even though he [[{{Tsundere}} refuses to admit it]].
* [[RedBaron Devil Princess of Jurai]], Seto Kamiki is the official [[TheMatchmaker matchmaker]] of the ''Anime/TenchiMuyo'' Ryo-Oh-Ki timeline. Marrying off her numerous friends and relatives ([[{{Polyamory}} usually to more than one person]], [[{{Hypocrite}} despite the fact that there's]] ''[[{{Hypocrite}} zero]]'' [[{{Hypocrite}} chance that she'd let]] ''[[{{Hypocrite}} her]]'' [[{{Hypocrite}} husband have multiple wives]]) seems to be her main passion, which take almost all her free time -- that is, when she isn't [[ManBehindTheMan manipulating]] [[TheEmperor her son-in-law]], or [[ActionMom chasing pirates back and forth]].
** However, not all the people appreciate her efforts. Makes sense considering [[JerkAss she loves to deliberately screw with people's love lives for the hell of it]].
* Almost all of the cast in ''Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann'' ship Simon and Nia, and early on a number of them were Kamina/Yoko shippers, too. Leeron is an outright shipping fanboy.
* ''Manga/TokyoBabylon'': Hokuto ships Seishirou/Subaru. She ships them so hard that [[spoiler: she uses ''her own ThanatosGambit'' to give Seishirou a warning about hurting Subaru [[BreakTheCutie any further than he already has done]], as well as a LastSecondChance to show his feelings. [[MagnificentBastard Little did the poor girl know]]...]]
* Played for comedy in ''Manga/TokyoGhoul[=:Re=]''. After learning about Miza's crush on his gang leader, Shousei pledges his full support to her efforts. He later spies on her disastrous attempts at flirting, while wearing a "SUPPORT" headband and hoping to witness "child-making" between the couple. Too bad for everyone that Naki is ObliviousToLove.
* ''Manga/ToLoveRu'':
** Momo's trying to create a harem for Rito, after all. She appears to be considering each and every female except Peke and his Mom as a love interest.
** Lala also fully supports Rito/Haruna, with the added twist that she is hoping that it'll lead to Rito/Haruna/Lala.
** Risa (and her best friend Mio) seems to be pushing for the Rito/Lala ship, and has been nothing but helpful to Lala in trying to get them together, albeit in [[TheTease her own way]].
** Nana is the edge of this when it comes to Rito/Lala and Rito/Haruna.
** Mikan appears to want Rito/Lala, considering she keeps chastising Momo for coming on to Rito, saying that it'll make Lala upset. However, this could also be due to her own jealousy.
** Yuu wants Rito/Yui, although he is sympathetic to Rito's trouble-filled life.
** Saruyama has often helped to encourage the Rito/Haruna ship.
** Oshizu supports Rito/Haruna. Using her ghost powers. Usually ends in {{FanService}}.
** Saki supports Rito/Rin and sets up a date between them in chapter 52.
** Kenichi and Akiho ship Rito/Haruna.
** Sachie and Mami ship Mikan/Rito.
* In ''Anime/TomicaHyperRescueDriveHeadKidouKyuukyuuKeisatsu'', Mikoto finds [[SickeninglySweethearts the relationship]] that Gou's parents have to be adorable.
** Yusuke and Akira seem to want to help Karigari's relationship with Sasagawa, encouraging him to talk to her.
* ''Manga/Touch1981'':
** Tatsuya and Kazuya's parents and Minami's dad ''really'' want Kazuya to marry Minami...
** Harada occasionally comes across as this for Tatsuya and Minami.
* In ''Manga/{{Trigun}}'' while Milly does get angry over how upset Vash unintentionally makes Meryl feel, she still got a big smile on her face when Vash hugged Meryl after getting over his HeroicBSOD.
* Princess Tomoyo seems to ship [[YaoiFangirl Kurogane/Fay]] in ''Manga/TsubasaReservoirChronicle''. The Kimono she dresses Fay up in is... [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furisode interesting]].
* Due to his [[IRejectYourReality delusions]] that his daughter Ryuunosuke is [[RaisedAsTheOppositeGender actually his son]], Mr. Fujinami of ''Manga/UruseiYatsura'' is an avid supporter whenever it seems like Ryuunosuke is expressing an attraction to a girl. In the stories where Ryuunosuke goes on dates with Ran and Shinobu, he switches from an [[AbusiveParents abusive dad]] to an [[AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents embarrassing one]] by becoming a gushing supportive figure, who does things like hold conversations with his deceased wife on how Ryuunosuke is finally becoming a "strong man". Ryuunosuke actually exploits this aspect of him; whilst she has no real interest in girls, his comfort with the idea allows her to attempt schemes to try and improve her femininity by disguising what she's doing as a date.
* ''Manga/UzakiChanWantsToHangOut''
** Both Ami and Sakaki would like to for Shinichi and Hana to become a couple. They have opposing ideas on how that should happen however. Ami wants the latter two to spend as much time alone together as possible, believing that they'll naturally hook up. Meanwhile Sakaki thinks they won't hook up unless someone forces them to acknowledge their attraction to each other.
** Hana's friends [[EveryoneCanSeeIt already assume she and Shinichi are an item]] due to how much time they spend together. [[SheIsNotMyGirlfriend Her denials]] are not taken seriously after said friends stumble upon Hana and Shinichi spooning when they happened to fall asleep at school.
** When Hana's little sister Yanagi learns about Shinichi, she wants to know all about him and Hana, even asking their mother if she can skip school just to meet him.
* Ishtar from ''Manga/VampireGame''. By far the best pairing she comes up with is Illsaid and Duzell, especially because she pretends Duzell is her little sister to pull it off.
* In ''Manga/TheWallflower'', Noi becomes a Kyohei/Sunako shipper early on, regularly fangirling about their "moments" together. The rest of the major characters eventually follow suit, trying their damnedest best to get Kyohei to realize his feelings for Sunako as the BelligerentSexualTension between the two of them becomes increasingly clear in later volumes.
* Maho from ''Manga/WanderingSon'' initially supported her sibling Nitori and her best friend Anna being together however her opinions changed later. She had a negative view on ther relationship due to Nitori's femininity, however eventually she mellowed down about it.
* ''Manga/WhyTheHellAreYouHereTeacher'': Saki's always wanted Kana to be her daughter-in-law, and urges her and her son Ichiro to get together.
* ''Manga/WifeAndWife'': Kana ships Sumi/Kina, though she's not so open about it — at first.
* ''Manga/WithTheLight'' features this in a one-off scene: after one mother comments on how happy her son was when Hikaru (an autistic child) brushed against his cheek, another mother grinned knowingly as she pulled out a drawing pad and pencil...
* Everyone in ''Manga/XxxHolic'' seems to ship Doumeki/Watanuki, with Watanuki's employer, Yuuko, being the biggest shipper of all. Others include Yuuko's fortuneteller colleague, and Himawari, ''the girl Watanuki has a crush on''. Even young Kohane picks up on that Doumeki and Watanuki are good friends despite any protests.
** It gets to the point where Watanuki starts claiming that the entire female camp is against him.
--> '''Watanuki:''' Why do ''all'' the women misunderstand!? *sobs*
** Not just all females: ''[[RidiculouslyCuteCritter Mokona]]'' ships Doumeki/Watanuki too. He's shown to constantly try to hint to Watanuki that Doumeki likes him -- including chiding Watanuki for berating Doumeki, as Doumeki is trying to spend time with Watanuki because he wants to "make sure Watanuki isn't hurt... in heart, or in ''body''."
*** Though, after Watanuki pulled his IWillWaitForYou stunt for Yuuko upon her disappearance, Haruka seems to have reluctantly begun to accept (and ship?!) Yuuko/Watanuki, ''literally'' giving Watanuki a heart-to-heart IfYouEverDoAnythingToHurtHer talk. Wonder how Doumeki would feel if he knew that he was betrayed by his old man.
* ''Literature/YouLikeMeNotMyDaughter'': Miu is fully supportive of Takkun and her mom getting together, more so than Ayako herself. Takkun's parents are also supportive.
* ''Manga/YoureUnderArrest'':
** It's no secret ''[[EveryoneCanSeeIt to anyone]]'' at the Bokuto Precinct that Miyuki and Nakajima are crazy for each other and they fully support the two of them getting together. The problem is, [[TwiceShy they're both too shy to say anything]]. Natsume and the others [[TheMatchmaker have gone as far as to set them up on dates]] to try to get things going between them, [[StatusQuoIsGod but to no avail]]. The fact that these efforts usually tend to result in MomentKiller doesn't help things.
** Nakajima's parents might count, especially his stepmother. It helps that both of them are fond of Miyuki.
* ''Franchise/YuGiOh'':
** There is a scene in the ''Manga/YuGiOh'' manga where Mai Kujaku is seen actively setting up Yuugi Mutou and Anzu Mazaki. Later, just before Battle City starts up Mai pointedly teases Anzu when it looks like she's on a date with Yuugi. It's not really, but it's the thought that counts.
*** Atem in the ''Anime/YuGiOh'' anime is very supportive of Yuugi/Anzu. He's teased and prodded Yuugi about his crush on Anzu on multiple occasions, and he was quite disappointed in episode 53 when he realized that ''he'' was the one meant to go on the date with Anzu, not Yuugi.
*** According to some fans, Anzu might be a Jounochi/Mai shipper, getting angry at Jou more than once when he blows chances at wooing her.
** ''Manga/YuGiOhGX'': Fubuki ships his sister Asuka with Judai. On the graduation letter which is addressed to Judai, Fubuki wrote that he'll leave Asuka in Judai's care.
** The twins Lua and Luka from ''Anime/YuGiOh5Ds'' are Yusei/Aki shippers, especially when he takes her out skating. For that matter, so is Martha.
** Pretty much everyone in ''Anime/YuGiOhArcV'' ships Yuya/Yuzu. When Yuya and Yuzu hug in episode 99 the entire main cast at the scene smiles.
** In the dub for ''Anime/YuGiOhVRAINS'' Emma/Ghost Gal likes to tease Blue Angel and Playmaker together, even saying "I ship it" to Playmaker's face after teasing him for saving Blue Angel.
* ''Anime/YuriOnIce'': Yuuri's friend and former roomate Phichit is this for Victor/Yuuri, to the point of it becoming a meme. There were hints in Episode 6, but Episode 10 [[AscendedMeme solidified his status as this]] based on his fanboying over [[spoiler:Victor and Yuri's engagement]], which includes screaming the news to the whole restaurant.
** Otabek, Christophe and Yuuri's mother Hiroko also seem to be on board with the ship.
* [[YuriFan Chitose]] of ''Manga/YuruYuri'' usually fantasizes about [[{{Tsundere}} Ayano]] and Kyouko.
-->'''Chitose:''' It's a personal preference...my heartfelt desire...my ''dream''.
** Her twin sister Chizuru, on the other hand, ships Ayano with Chitose herself.
* ''Manga/YuunaAndTheHauntedHotSprings'': Urara ships Kogarashi with Sagiri, while Seri ships him with Chisaki. Shigure, grandmother of Sagiri and Hibari, wants one of her granddaughters to end up with Kogarashi, and Matora wants him to end up with Karura. In the end [[spoiler: none of them get their wish, as he ends up with Yuuna]].
