* ''ComicBook/{{Superman}}''
** There was considerable Clark Kent - ComicBook/LoisLane teasing in ''ComicBook/KryptonNoMore''. Lois is jealous when a co-worker flirts with Clark and decides to pursue him aggressively. She even calls him her man.
** In ''ComicBook/SupermanVsTheAmazingSpiderMan''. As usual in a Creator/GerryConway story, there's ComicBook/SpiderMan/ComicBook/MaryJaneWatson and Lois Lane/Clark Kent teasing. At the end, both couples have dinner together.
** In Creator/GregPak's ''ComicBook/ActionComics'' arc, "What Lies Beneath", there's quite a lot of hinting that Clark and ComicBook/LanaLang are still in love with each other. to the point that Ukur even [[LampshadeHanging lampshades it]], claiming they smell like a mated pair.
** In ''ComicBook/ForTheManWhoHasEverything'', Alan Moore has Wonder Woman kiss Superman, with this exchange:
--->'''Superman:''' Mmmm. Why don't we do that more often?\
'''Wonder Woman:''' I don't know. Too predictable?
** In ''ComicBook/WhoTookTheSuperOutOfSuperman'', it's heavily implied that Clark and Lois slept together when she stayed the night at his apartment.
** ''ComicBook/Supergirl2005 Annual 2'' was full of BelligerentSexualTension between ComicBook/{{Supergirl}} and [[ComicBook/LegionOfSuperHeroes Brainiac 5]], culminating with Kara kissing him and Querl vowing he wouldn't let her die alone during her final battle.
** [[Characters/SupermanJonathanSamuelKent Jonathan Samuel Kent]] has been teased with Kathy, his only friend in Hamilton after the Kent family move there. He trusts her enough to be his secret keeper and they frequently hang out, clearly enjoying their time with each other. Even after it was revealed that she was deceiving him the whole time, she cherished Jon enough to ultimately try to defend him from Manchester Black, later going so far as to forcibly remove Manchester's consciousness from his body. Afterwards, they part on amicable terms and are implied to talk to each other on the phone from time to time.
* ''ComicBook/Aquaman1986'' teases Nuada and Arthur as a potential couple, though it doesn't go anywhere after this storyline.
* ''ComicBook/{{Batman}}'':
** Batman and ComicBook/WonderWoman have gotten [[https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.cbr.com/dc-batman-wonder-woman-almost-romance/amp/ this]] before, but never so much in Creator/TomKing’s run where issue 40# of ''ComicBook/BatmanRebirth'' has them realise their {{UST}} and try and cope with it. The fact that ComicBook/{{Catwoman}} (Bruce’s main LoveInterest) is genuinely jealous of how close Diana is to Bruce and considers her a rival for his heart, speaks volumes.
** ''ComicBook/BatgirlRebirth'': Although they haven't gotten back together, ComicBook/{{Batgirl}} and ComicBook/{{Nightwing}} are teased heavily, to the point ComicBook/BlackCanary says Babs unconsciously thinks no man other than Dick is good enough for her. The two recently got back together again in the current Nightwing run.
** ''ComicBook/BatmanFamily'' started the idea of the Dick/Barbara pairing... although it was pointed out both in the comic and the letters page that Barb was older than Dick by a good 7 years.
** In ''ComicBook/Batgirl2009'', Damian Wayne comments that he was "really hoping to meet [[TechnicalPacifist Cassandra]]. [[PrecociousCrush She sounds wonderful]]." [[FunPersonified Steph]] immediately worries what will happen when Damian hits puberty.
** In ''Streets of Gotham'', Damian asks Dick if ComicBook/{{Katana}} is seeing anyone. When Dick points out that Katana is a ''grown woman'' while Damian is only a child, he shrugs it off.
** [[ComicBook/{{Nightwing}} Dick]] [[LauncherOfAThousandShips Grayson]] generates this every time he shows up in a book that stars a female character. His appearances in ComicBook/{{Supergirl}} and ComicBook/PowerGirl are very notable among the shipping fandom.
* In ''ComicBook/{{Wonder Woman|1987}}: ComicBook/TheContest,'' Hippolyta and Philippus have an intimate meeting to talk over strategy, at night ''in lingerie'', decades and several continuity reboots before [[RelationshipUpgrade their relationship became canon]].
* ''ComicBook/GreenLantern'': Between Hal Jordan and Pengowirr, who is actually the AI of his power ring, in ''ComicBook/TheGreenLantern''. Morrison and Sharp even describe her as Hal's true love.
* ''ComicBook/JSAClassified'': Alan Scott and Jimmy exchange what can be oh so easily taken as a flirtatious exchange while leaving their shared sleeper room aboard a train, right before Jimmy was killed in an explosion. [[spoiler:This romantic relationship was eventually revealed to be cannon, but hidden given the time period, following ComicBook/DCRebirth bringing both characters back into continuity]].
* ''ComicBook/JusticeLeagueInfinity'' issue 3-4 as a MythologyGag to ''WesternAnimation/SuperFriends'' where ComicBook/{{Darkseid}} had a VillainousCrush on Wonder Woman, has a genuine ShipTease between them, even though it was seen a CrackPairing before then. Technically it was an AlternateUniverse Diana whom romanced Darkseid with the present Diana being traditionally repulsed by him [[spoiler: although she does show him compassion when he performs a HeroicSacrifice saving Diana from Hades and dies in her arms as she surprisingly sheds a tear for him]].

!!''Franchise/MarvelUniverse''
* Nico and Karolina from ''ComicBook/{{Runaways}}'', especially in the first issue after Terry Moore's run ended. After a game of "truth or dare" leads to Karolina stealing a magic staff from a bunch of white supremacists. Nico tells her "You pretty much always amaze me" with the two of them staring at each other. When pressed on whether Karolina, Victor or Chase is the better kisser, she eventually snaps and admits "Karolina". This is despite that they never actually got beyond AlmostKiss... as far as we know. Oh, and it ends with her chiding the boys for being "such 'phobes" while she and K have IntertwinedFingers.
* ''ComicBook/UncannyAvengers'' has ComicBook/{{Rogue}} and ''ComicBook/{{Deadpool}}'' playing this trope big time. Rogue couldn't stand him at first, but they slowly developed a genuine bond -enough so that Wade takes Rogue to see his daughter, whom he asks Rogue to watch over if she becomes a mutant. Rogue readily agrees to have Ellie's back. In addition to shared moments here and there between the two that hint at deeper feelings. It finally comes to a head in chapter 22, when Rogue gives him TheBigDamnKiss. Afterwards, Deadpool tells her that she deserves better, and that she only likes him because she doesn't fully know him. Rogue kisses him again -unmoving in her feelings. She tells him that the stuff in his head is a relief after having Red Skull in her's. He notes that as the most romantic thing anyone's said to him. In the next panel we see them continuing their kissing elsewhere.
** WordOfGod states that the two seem very lonely, and admits that while the majority were rooting for Rogue and ComicBook/{{Gambit}}, he wanted to try something new and unexpected. Chapter 23's recap classifies Rogue and Deadpool's evening previous chapter as their first date.
** However [[ShipSinking it doesn't last]] as Rogue goes back to Gambit when Kitty and Colossus are unable to go though with their wedding and Gambit proposes to her. They are HappilyMarried and Deadpool shows up on their honeymoon, being a bit [[GreenEyedMonster jealous of Gambit.]]
* In ''ComicBook/MarvelOneHundredthAnniversarySpecial'', Kirby and Victoria apparently shared a kiss on a previous mission, and seem pretty bashful around each other. Interestingly, Kirby is the grandson of [[ComicBook/FantasticFour Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman]], while Victoria is the granddaughter of Doctor Doom.
* ''ComicBook/XMen'':
** Prior to the ShipSinking with the former's [[FaceHeelTurn reversion to his evil self]], [[Characters/MarvelComicsSabretooth Sabretooth]] & [[Characters/MarvelComicsMonetStCroix Monet St. Croix]] had it for two books, starting in Cullen Bunn's [[ComicBook/UncannyXMen2016 Uncanny X-Men]] and continuing into Greg Pak's [[ComicBook/WeaponX2017 Weapon X]]. For now, the ship's biggest fuel is EveryoneCanSeeIt, with six characters commenting on them having feelings for each other. Other examples include.
*** Monet outright [[WomenPreferStrongMen ogling Creed]] while he's [[https://i.imgur.com/oOaOmKD.jpg unpacking the blackbird]].
*** When he finds Monet in limbo, he mentions working with ComicBook/RachelSummers whom he sent back so he could talk with M alone. Monet asks if he's protecting his new friend & says [[ClingyJealousGirl she doesn't like it]].
*** There's the extent of his [[AlwaysSaveTheGirl protectiveness toward her]]. He goes so far as to shield & protect her before the mutants they were supposed to be helping.
** Weapon X has Domino [[ShipperOnDeck on-board the ship]] as soon as she hears about it from Yuriko, becoming a MomentKiller in issue 23 by interrupting Creed's convo with M to gush at him.
** It leads into a semi-LoveInformant ramble where Domino tells Monet that nobody believed Creed when he insisted that she was just a friend.
** Creed's [[https://i.imgur.com/IxEgzVb.jpg?1 seemingly flirtatious behavior near the end of chapter 22.]]
** Weapon X #24 has a possible InterruptedDeclarationOfLove from Creed, who just wants to say -but is cut off by Omega Red the following page.
** [[https://ic.pics.livejournal.com/silverfang2/29185537/1273920/1273920_900.png The fact there's a giant heart behind them during the above scene is also rather overt]].
** The Weapon X [[https://i.imgur.com/1B3m5LZ.jpg cover from chapter 27]] gives off clear PleaseDontLeaveMe vibes.
* ''ComicBook/{{Runaways}}'' and ''ComicBook/YoungAvengers'' both do this pretty often, but their ''ComicBook/{{Civil War|2006}}'' {{crossover}} really went crazy with it. Tommy calls Nico hot, Nico calls Eli cute, and Victor calls Cassie ''an angel'' after she saves his life (he didn't think people actually [[LampshadeHanging did that]]). On top of that, the Tommy/Kate/Eli LoveTriangle and the Vision's crush on Cassie are more apparent than ever.
* In the second volume of ''ComicBook/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy'', Peter Quill and Mantis have several moments, starting from early on. However, since the series was cut short, and the change of writers with the next series, nothing came of it.
* In ''ComicBook/UncannyXMen'', Magik is one of the three people who still trusts Cyclops as a leader, and there are plenty of [[HurtComfortFic moments]] where he comforts her [[spoiler:during the resurgence of her Limbo trauma]]. She later expresses relief upon finding out that he hasn't gotten back together with Emma. [[note]]Although given the age difference, some find this pairing squicky.[[/note]]
* Happened ''constantly'' between ComicBook/SpiderMan and ComicBook/MaryJaneWatson during [[ComicBook/TheAmazingSpiderManDanSlott Dan Slott's 2010-2018 run]]. They remained for the most part AmicableExes, but it was made clear multiple time that there were still unresolved feelings on both sides. [[spoiler:They finally got back together at the end of the very first issue of [[ComicBook/TheAmazingSpiderMan2018 Nick Spencer's run when he took over in 2018]]]].

!!Other Comics
* The title character and Michelle in ''ComicBook/CerebusTheAardvark''. They get along reasonably well, and there are mild implications that something intimate may have happened, but nothing comes of it and [[ShipSinking they eventually part on cool-but-not-completely-unfriendly terms]].
* ''ComicBook/DemonKnights'' does this ''relentlessly'' with Exoristos and Shining Knight.
* WesternAnimation/DonaldDuck get several in European comics.
** In ''ComicBook/PaperinikNewAdventures'' despite Donald supposedly being in a relationship with [[OfficialCouple Daisy]] (not that she [[OldHeroNewPals ever appears]]), he has several seemingly romantic moments with [[PhysicalGod Xadhoom]] and [[RobotGirl Lyla Lay]]. In the sequel ''Pk 2'', he has this with co-worker [[LittleMissBadass Tempest Gale]].
** With the superpsy Kay K in ''ComicBook/DoubleDuck''. often seems very affectionate to Donald and sometimes flirt with him. Especially after her [[spoiler: HeelFaceTurn with she become one of the heroes working often with Donald, her official "partner"]]. Naturally she claim with Daisy that are JustFriends, but again she is a good liar.
* The final page of the final story in Volume 5 of ''ComicBook/{{Empowered}}'' shows the scantily-clad eponymous character giving the likewise scantily-clad Sister Spooky a big hug. She also appears to be stroking Spooky's hair.
* In ''ComicBook/KickAss'', for better or for worse, a lot of the scenes between Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl are framed from an odd angle where it looks like one is kissing the other (the dialogue bubbles dispel the notion, but the imagery is there), in addition to the two being about as close as anyone in the comic can be.
* ''ComicBook/MyLittlePonyMicroSeries'':
** In Issue #3 Rarity brought a picture of Spike with her to sleep with... and of Applejack as well, leading to [[https://twitter.com/PonyRoy/status/326890359361781761 this interesting Twitter conversation with Price and Cook]], unaware of the fandom's fascination with shipping.
** The Nightmare Arc might as well be called "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS2E10SecretOfMyExcess Secret of My Excess]], Part 2" for all the Spike X Rarity moments. [[spoiler:For one thing, Spike brings the Fire Ruby, plus Spike is one of the only two characters who could cause a reaction on Nightmare Rarity (the other is her sister Sweetie Belle) and it's Spike who delivers the final line that releases Rarity from the Nightmare's grip. [[http://derpibooru.org/346954?scope=scpe716f6936de6aa6f87f51c053da229f5fe021b55d The last panel of the arc's final page]] also speaks volumes.]]
** In Issue 9, Big Macintosh practically has to fend off all of his female admirers-- Sweetcream Scoops (who has been stalking him for several issues), Bon Bon, Fleetfoot (who gets an entire splash page and an alternate cover featuring her marriage fantasy about him), and even Princess Luna practically throw themselves at him. Zecora also follows him around, although if she's actually interested in him, she's at least more subtle about it than the other girls.
* Not even going over the amount of HoYay in ''[[ComicBook/SamAndMaxFreelancePolice Sam And Max]]'', the titular duo is constantly a: being "mistaken" for a couple, or b: having a character trying to get them dating, or c: being told that they are destined to be together.
* ''ComicBook/StarWarsKanan'': In Issue #6, Kanan's words to Hera over the transmission before he collaspses sounds like an implicit AnguishedDeclarationOfLove to shipper's ears.
-->'''Hera:''' Aw, what's the matter, luv? Miss me?\
'''Kanan:''' Always, and more than you'll ever know.
* ''ComicBook/UsagiYojimbo'':
** Usagi and [[ActionGirl Tomoe Ame]]. The fans have requested some romance with the pair for years, but Stan Sakai has only lightly teased them, right before he has Tomoe's Lord decide she should be married [[ArrangedMarriage without bothering to ask if she wanted it in the first place.]]
** With Usagi and [[DarkActionGirl Chizu]], and with [[TheBigGuy Gen]] and [[TheTrickster Kitsune.]]
* ''ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics'': In issue 17 Antoine goes to retrieve a lost power ring for Tails in Robotropolis seemingly oblivious to all the danger there. He retrieves it and Bunnie is revealed to have been secretly tailing him and fighting off anything that tried attacking him. The comic ends with Antoine implying that he knew she was doing it and kissing her on the cheek. Nothing comes of it immediately afterwards but it's easy to see it as a precursor to their relationship later on.
* ''ComicBook/BuckyOHareAndTheToadWars'': Both the comic and the cartoon strongly tease at a possible relationship between [[SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan Jenny and Willy DuWitt]], and the cartoon also teases at a romance between [[RescueRomance Bucky O'Hare and Mimi LaFloo]]. That said, [[ShortRunners due to the comic lasting only five issues, and the cartoon's short time on the air]], [[NoRomanticResolution nothing is developed in any concrete way]].
** In the comic, Jenny started showing [[TheTease very overt affections]] for Willy [=DuWitt=] [[http://2.bp.blogspot.com/oV64NCSpwkpaItDWWUb4pANDdq5NthOjjf3D_kCGWn5DisrIOn8ByinfyKx01arR3VlbGuHg2Y9N=s0 almost immediately after meeting him]], in response to his offer to [[TheReliableOne help the crew of the ''Righteous Indignation'']] instead of [[IChooseToStay simply returning home]], despite the distinct possibility of becoming [[TrappedInAnotherWorld trapped forever]]. The cartoon simply makes her reasons and affections much more obvious. [[note]](In her own words: [[SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan "Willy DuWitt, you are very brave."]])[[/note]] By the end of the three part pilot episode, she had kissed him several times in increasingly affectionate ways - the last being [[http://archive.is/zo9gb directly on the mouth]] - and also given him a magical Alderberan memory stone [[SubspaceAnsible to keep contact with him]].[[note]]That last point is very significant, since Alderberans are ''[[KeeperOfForbiddenKnowledge very secretive]]'' regarding their magic, to the point where [[TheFettered Jenny hides her magical powers from the rest of the Righteous Indignation's crew]], even going so far as to [[HoldingBackThePhlebotinum ask for permission to use an invisible psychic blast]] to [[HonorBeforeReason save her own life]]![[/note]] Willy consistently responds to her advances with a CrushBlush.
** In the immediate following episode, [[CunningLikeAFox Mimi LaFloo]] developed feelings for Bucky O'Hare after he [[RescueRomance saved her from a Toad labor camp]]. Afterwards, she was swiftly [[TheCaptain given a ship to command]] - on Bucky's recommendation - based on her [[TheLeader tendency to lead]]. She proceeds to thank Bucky with a kiss, which causes him to break into a bashful grin. Seeing this, [[HaughtyHmph Jenny "humphs" haughtily]] and scoffs about Mimi's lack of propriety... [[HypocriticalHumor despite her own behavior towards Willy in literally all of the previous episodes being the same]].
* ''ComicBook/{{Pathfinder|DynamiteComics}}'': The first issue has some light flirting between Valeros and Merisiel, the latter of whom even states she's not in the mood for him at the moment but might be at another time. [[ShipSinking That ship is solidly sunk]] when she gets together with Kyra at the end of issue 9.
* In ''ComicBook/WarlordOfMars'', an attraction between Carthoris and Linea is hinted mixed with some intense {{UST}}. [[spoiler: It ends in tears when she dies.]]
