----
!!Tropes:
* AintTooProudToBeg: Jack begs Silas to let him and his mother go. Unbeknownst to Silas until later, Jack only did this to steal his radio and call in Fowler.
* AlienAutopsy: MECH attempts to do this on Arcee (and were planning to do the same on Airachnid as well).
* BigDamnHeroes:
** Arcee tackles Airachnid before she can harm June.
** Before Airachnid can finish Arcee, Fowler's team arrives and opens fire.
* BlatantLies: Fowler attempts to create a cover story for Jack to his mother. Jack reminds him that she's not easily fooled given what she had just witnessed overnight.
* CallBack: When talking about the ways Jack's been getting into trouble, June cites rumors of him [[Recap/TransformersPrimeS1E11SpeedMetal street racing]].
* CantKillYouStillNeedYou: As much as Airachnid wants to eliminate Silas and the rest of MECH, she enlists their help in her revenge on Arcee and Jack. She sweetens this offer by promising they can have what's left of the former when she finally kills her.
* CassandraTruth: Jack tries to tell his mother the truth early on, but she doesn't believe him, now under the impression that the reasons he's slipping is because he joined a Sci-fi club. Later, after seeing Arcee transform for herself:
-->'''June:''' Jack, your motorcycle?
-->'''Jack:''' I can explain, Mom. Wait, I already did.
* CrazyPrepared: When Silas makes his demand to Jack and Arcee, he demonstrates the communicator has the means to (painfully) prevent Arcee from calling the other Autobots for help.
* EvenEvilHasStandards:
** {{Downplayed|Trope}} with Airachnid. She remarks that even she (a sadistic bounty hunter) is disgusted by what MECH did to Breakdown. She only works with them because it's her best bet to get to Jack and Arcee.
** {{Subverted|Trope}} with Silas. While he values human life more than Transformers, he's willing to let Airachnid kill Jack and June in exchange for MECH gaining advanced technology.
* ExactWords:
** When June grounds Jack, she tells him that he is only allowed to take a pedal bike to school and work instead of his motorcycle. She then warns him that she better not see the latter outside of the garage when she comes back. Having returned earlier than normal the next day, she's ''furious'' to find that the motorcycle is missing, even though Jack came back with his bike. The fact that Arcee made it back seconds after only makes thing worse because June worries his son is hanging out with a bad crowd and "they" managed to sneak it back in while her back is turned.
** Airachnid forces Jack in a sick game where he has to find his mother, June, hidden in the area under a small time limit. She promises to let them both go if Jack can rescue his mother by midnight. Jack finds June and attempts to free her, until Airachnid shows up and informs him that he's failed. Jack accuses Airachnid of lying to him, saying he found June in time. Airachnid corrects him, he only found June, but not ''rescued'' her. She's still caught in her webbing, therefore he failed to beat the time limit.
* HistoryRepeats: Like in "Predatory", Arcee and Jack are on their own with Airachnid now having a personal vendetta with them both. What's worse is that, with MECH's help, they once again have no means to call the other Autobots for backup.
* IdiotBall / JerkassBall: Both Jack and Arcee are a little jerkish and dumber than usual in this episode (for example, Jack lightly kicks Arcee when she doesn't want to transform in front of his mom after his BrutalHonesty and Arcee is rude to Jack and too stuck up to keep a secret and a little rude to him).
* IHaveYourWife: Jack's mother June is used as a hostage for him and Arcee.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: In his anticipation of Airachnid's betrayal, Silas attempts to kill Arcee by cutting out her spark so MECH can study it later. This backfires as Arcee, pretending to be out cold, is able to escape thanks to them cutting her free of Airachnid's webbing.
* NoMoreLies: Jack tells his mom the truth about the Autobots. She doesn't buy it though as he came off too brutally honest.
* NotSoImaginaryFriend:
-->'''Jack:''' Mom, meet the science fiction club.
* OhCrap: When Silas realizes that Jack tricked him and stole his radio.
* OhNoNotAgain: Fowler when his helicopter is scanned by Airachnid as her new alt mode. [[Recap/TransformersPrimeS1E6MastersAndStudents This happened before on the show]].
* PlayingPossum: Arcee waits until the MECH soldiers remove Airachnid's webbing. Just as a soldier points a wicked drill at her chest, she quickly breaks out.
* PragmaticVillainy: Silas lets Arcee go when she breaks free and heads out to face Airachnid. He had hoped that they can capture either Transformer, either in one piece or in pieces, but the knowledge of how they can transform in the first place is a good enough consolation prize.
-->'''Silas:''' No matter the outcome, the spoils will be ours.
* ProperlyParanoid:
** A grounded Jack warns Arcee about how serious his mom is and worries that she will think he blew her off if "his motorcycle" just happens to go missing. As he feared, June returns early to find the motorcycle gone, seconds before Arcee finally comes back, now assuming Jack deliberately disobeyed her.
** Silas is certain Airachnid will turn on MECH sooner or later.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Airachnid wants payback for her last encounter with Arcee and Jack.
* TemptingFate: Arcee can't promise anything, but she tries to make it back to Jack's house before he mom comes home while he's grounded. The very next day, Jack is shocked to learn June is leaving earlier than usual, and he gets into even more trouble when Arcee is absent from the garage.
* TitleDrop: "Something tells me she plans to turn our mutual crisscross into a double-cross."
* TrapIsTheOnlyOption: Jack and Arcee perfectly aware about MECH's trap but goes in it anyway.
* VillainBall: Arcee is quickly incapacitated, while Jack is surrounded by MECH troops. Airachnid had effectively won, but she prefers to torment Jack some more rather than just finish it. Conversely, Silas stays focused on his actual goal, though [[PlayingPossum it still ends up playing into Arcee's hands]].
* VillainExitStageLeft: Airachnid takes on a vehicle mode in order to fly away. MECH flees the scene, as well, and doesn't leave behind anything.
* VillainTeamUp: Airachnid forces an alliance with Silas and MECH.
* YouAreGrounded: Jack for missing a few shifts at KO Burger and falling asleep in Art History class, so June puts her foot down. He's only allowed to go to work and school and can't drive his motorcycle around (Arcee) for a while, and must pedal on a bike instead.
