!!Tropes present in this episode:

* AwfulTruth: Averted; Bo and Luke -- all along suspicious of Sue Ann (and a major reason why they weren't invited to Rosco's wedding) -- discover the truth -- that Sue Ann is part of a criminal trio (along with her real husband and their partner), all wanted for bank robbery and murder. Later, Rosco, once he understands the Dukes were telling him the truth.
* ConsolationPrize: Along with a promise of a date with the post office clerk, one thing that always cheers Rosco up -- even when he's at his worst -- is a homecooked meal from his Mama Coltrane!
* DatingServiceDisaster: Rosco and Sue Ann meet via a computer dating service (indeed, the episode itself could be seen as a satire on computer dating) ... with Rosco unaware that Sue Ann placed the ad as part of a scheme to allow her bank-robbing, murdering husband and his partner to case out and rob small town banks.
* EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas: Although not purely evil, Rosco is the antagonist and -- although sometimes henpecked by her -- genuinely loves his Mama Coltrane.
* HereWeGoAgain: Just a few days after Rosco has had to himself to grieve over his heartbreak, being lied to and his humiliation, he is back to his old self ... and just before he can ticket the Dukes for illegal parking, he asks the post office clerk (who happens to be walking by) if they'd like to go out for a cup of coffee or ice cream soda sometime. She says yes! Nothing ever comes of it, but it perk Rosco's spirits up big time and also provides an ample [[AnAesop Aesop]] (which rings true today): Better to meet someone in person than a stranger off a dating service.
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: Rosco goes from antagonist, Boss' partner in crime and constant thorn in the side of the Dukes to [[TheWoobie easily duped]], and for him it is cruel heartbreak when his real friends (Bo and Luke) help him realize cruel reality: Sue Ann (along with her real husband and their accomplice) is a murdering, bank robbing felon.
* ManlyTears: For one moment, Rosco chokes up when he realizes he was the victim of a cruel hoax.
* MarryingTheMark: Rosco is Sue Ann's mark, using him as a pawn in her scheme to rob Hazzard Bank.
* {{Tearjerker}}: When Rosco realizes the cold, hard truth: He was played for a sucker and a fool, and is utterly humiliated, embarrassed and downright heartbroken by a woman whom he thought loved him and had (cruelly, unknown to him) pulled him along on a string.
* WasItAllALie: When Rosco is left with the heartbreaking duty to take his "wife" into custody, he mutters this. For one brief moment, Sue Ann shows some remorse and regret that she let things go too far, and admits that, as she got to know Rosco, as stupid as he may be he did have many positive attributes about him.
* WeddingEpisode: An episode about Rosco and his wedding to "fiancé," Sue Ann.
