5	Joe and Frank Russo are arrested for severely beating George Harding. They believe he raped their sister Leslie, who resides at a psychiatric hospital where Harding works. He is arrested for raping both Leslie, and Wendy Singer, a patient at another hospital where he worked; she has become pregnant whilst in a coma. The case against Harding falls apart when it emerges he did not rape Leslie. However, a DNA test shows he is the father of Wendy's baby. She dies in childbirth, and his charges are increased to murder.

7	Ross learns that Harding was actually paid to rape Wendy by her mother, who wanted a grandchild. The [=DAs=] need to make a deal with either Harding or Mrs. Singer to testify against the other, but can't decide which. In the absence of a better option, [=McCoy=] acquiesces to drop the murder charge and just have them both convicted of rape. Harding's parents are now applying for legal custody of the baby and [=McCoy=] is glad he doesn't have to deal with ''that'' case.
