During Meg's 17th birthday party, Peter (dressed as a clown) accidentally kills his Bible-thumping father, Francis, and, after quitting beer for crack cocaine, visits Bruce (a hypnotherapist) and realizes that Francis isn't his biological father. Meanwhile, Stewie begins acting bratty and Lois swatting him on the butt leads to Stewie [[TooKinkyToTorture wanting more abuse]].

!!This episode contains examples of:
* AddictionDisplacement: Parodied. Peter tries to overcome his alcoholism by replacing it with crack. Brian even states that it's not a good substitute.
--> '''Brian:''' Hey, Peter, just thought I'd check on y- (sees Peter strung out on crack, shirtless and clutching onto one of the cushions to the couch while on the floor) ''[[BigOMG Oh my]]'' '''''[[BigOMG god!]]'''''
--> '''Peter:''' GUB'MENT CAME AND TOOK MY BAAAABY!
* AndThereWasMuchRejoicing: After Francis dies, Lois and Brian are respectful among the rest of the family, but then they step outside to celebrate due to Francis always being a Bible-thumping asshole. The celebration ends when Brian grabs Lois's chest and she slaps him.
* BaitAndSwitch: Brian asks Peter where he got crack:
--> '''Peter''': From Blacks.\
'''Brian''': ''(appalled)'' What?!\
'''Peter''': Yeah, right behind Black's Hardware Store. There's a white guy selling it.
* BirthdayEpisode: The first half of this episode is about Meg's 17th birthday.
* ABirthdayNotABreak: Though it's not really commented upon, Francis dies during Meg's 17th birthday party.
* BorrowedCatchphrase: Mickey's sheep O'Brian does a variation on Brian's CatchPhrase, "Whose leg do ye have to hump to git a pint of Guinness around here?"
* BrattyHalfPint: Stewie at the beginning.
* CallingTheOldManOut: Meg gets mad and yells at both her parents when they try to ask her how old she's turning and calls them out on their negligence and sheer stupidity and the fact that didn't know her age or that today was her birthday nor did they even bother to take in consideration of her personal well-being.
* CameBackWrong: Peter tries burying Francis in the Literature/PetSematary. Francis immediately bursts out of the grave, screaming. After beating him back down with a shovel, Peter says he'll bury him in a regular cemetery.
* {{Eagleland}}: Discussed while intoxicated. Mickey believes that America is Type A and admonishes Peter for not being handsome like other American men. Peter tells him that's just in movies and reality is closer to type B and he's actually quite typical-looking for an American.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: The amount of people at Meg's birthday party, whereas later on she tends to be only friends with Patty, Ruth and Esther (and depending on the episode, sometimes not even them). [[Recap/FamilyGuyS10E10MegAndQuagmire Her 18th birthday party]], by comparison, depicts her as being completely friendless.
* EvenTheSubtitlerIsStumped: Mickey, just before he passes out during the drinking contest. The subtitles just read "??????".
* ExactWords: After vowing to never drink again, Peter starts smoking crack instead because "at least [he's] not drinking".
* FunnyBackgroundEvent: Lois and Brian step outside to celebrate Francis's death while Peter mourns Francis's death.
* GenerationXerox: Peter's real father is a fat, stupid drunk whose best friend is an intelligent, snarky animal.
* GlorifiedSpermDonor: Mickey. He has a one-night stand with Thelma (implied to be a drunken one, given his alcoholic nature) and leaves, probably not even knowing that he impregnated her.
* HeelRealization: Stewie admits he has problems about wanting to be hit by Lois.
* IAmNotYourFather: The repressed memory from Peter's childhood.
-->'''Young Peter:''' Happy Father's Day, Dad!\
'''Francis:''' [[BrutallyHonest I'm not your father!]]
* IdenticalGrandson: Mickey [=McFinnigan=] looks a lot like Peter (which explains why he's Peter's biological father rather than Francis).
* IntoxicationEnsues: After leaving Peter with his crack pipe, Brian checks up on him only to find him completely high out of his mind.
-->'''Peter''': Guv'mint caim an' tuk mah baaaaaaay-bee!
* IronicEchoCut: After Peter blames alcohol for the death of Francis, Peter vows never to drink again. Cut to Peter smoking crack as a substitute.
* LackOfEmpathy: One CutawayGag has Mother Theresa overdose in Stewie's car. Despite the other two men in the car objecting to it, Stewie yells at them to push her out of the car and drive off, with no regard for her wellbeing.
* LastDisrespects: Lois and Brian celebrate in the front yard after Francis dies due to him always being a Bible-thumping asshole towards them.
* KilledOffForReal: Francis, who meets his end after Peter falls down the stairs on a unicycle and crushes him.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone:
** Lois when she spanks Stewie for breaking her necklace.
** Peter after accidentally killing his father, to the point that he vows to never drink again.
* NationalStereotypes:
-->'''Peter''': This is quite a country, Brian. You know, Ireland has more drunks per capita than people.\
'''Brian''': That's a negative stereotype. I don't think the Irish drink as much as people say they do.\
[the plane touches down in Ireland, and the runway is covered in beer bottles]
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: You know Francis' death is serious when Dr. Hartman doesn't crack a joke.
* PrecisionFStrike: When Brian learns that Peter started doing crack: "What the ''fuck''?!"
* SameContentDifferentRating: When this episode first aired on Creator/AdultSwim, it was rated TV-MA (possibly because of the {{Imagine Spot}}s of a muscular Lois beating up Stewie and Stewie being put on the rack and sexually tortured). On FOX and later airings on Creator/AdultSwim, the episode was TV-14 for suggestive dialogue (D), sexual situations (S), and violence (V).
* SelfServingMemory: Lois slapped Stewie on the butt once after he threw a fit and deliberately broke her necklace. However, when talking to Rupert, Stewie remembers the incident as him apologizing for accidentally breaking the necklace and then a muscle-bound Lois viciously beating him.
* ShoutOut:
** Lois sings (or at least attempts to sing) [[Theatre/TheSoundOfMusic "You are Sixteen, Going on Seventeen"]] (but can't sing it as she doesn't know Meg's age).
** During Stewie's ImagineSpot about being beaten by Lois, he screams "I love you, Literature/MommieDearest!"
** Francis appears as a ghost along with the ghosts of [[Film/ReturnOfTheJedi Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Yoda]].
** The title is a reference to the book ''Heather Has Two Mommies''.
* SkewedPriorities: Peter justifies taking up crack by saying that at least he's not having alcohol.
* StatusQuoIsGod: Peter and Lois neglect to learn about Meg's birthday and age and she calls them out on it. After she leaves, obviously Peter and Lois don't learn anything from this.
* SteppingOutToReact: After Francis dies, Lois and Brian take a break from comforting Peter to go outside and happily celebrate the demise of the Bible-thumping asshole that's long been a thorn in their sides.
* TakeThat: To ''Film/FailureToLaunch''. Peter insists he's tough, because he made it through half of the movie.
-->'''Tripp''': I just never managed to get my life together. Isn't that hilarious?\
'''Paula''': You're cute!\
'''Peter''': (stands up) DONE. (walks out)
* TooKinkyToTorture: Stewie gradually becomes this after being hit by Lois.
-->'''Stewie''': Well, you know what'll ease your stress? Slap me across the face like a bitch!\
'''Lois''': It's all right. I'll get some windex.\
'''Stewie''': Come on! Discipline me! Make me wear panties, rub dirt in my eye, violate me with a wine bottle--my God, I really do have problems, don't I?
* WasTooHardOnHim: Lois really regretted spanking Stewie.
