6	* AnAesop: When fighting with someone for the same cause, you cannot expect them to fight with the same methods or for the same reasons.
7	* BaitAndSwitch: Klik-Klak keeps drawing two circles inside each other whenever questioned as to what the empire was doing on Geonosis, which makes it seem as if he's trying to tell them about the Death Star. At the end of the episode, the crew conclude that he is actually talking about the gas canisters the Empire used to wipe out the Geonosians. [[DramaticallyMissingThePoint To the audience though, it's clear Klik-Klak was talking about the Death Star all along.]]
8	* BeneathTheEarth: The majority of the episode takes place in Geonosis' tunnels. After they reach the bottom and let Klik-Klak go, he finds another tunnel and heads even deeper.
9	* BittersweetEnding: Without the poison canisters the rebels can't prove that the extinction of the Geonosians was the Empire's doing, Saw's team is dead, and they haven't found evidence of the Empire's superweapon. But the pictures of the canisters might sway people to their side, Klik-Klak and the queen egg escape the Empire and live, Saw is rescued, and the base has a shield generator.

21	* DramaticallyMissingThePoint: Klik-Klak repeatedly draws a symbol of a circle inside another circle, which the rebels interpret as the queen egg, the rings of Geonosis, or the poison canisters. To the viewers, however, it's clearly an outline of the Death Star.
22	* DramaticIrony: We the audience know [[WaveMotionGun what]] Klik-Klak was [[EarthShatteringKaboom trying]] to tell the rebels [[ThatsNoMoon about]], don't we?
23	* {{Expy}}: From a purely visual standpoint, Captain Brunson resembles Vice Admiral Rae Sloane, but she is not the same character.
24	* FailureIsTheOnlyOption:
25	** The crew finds poison gas canisters which prove the Empire committed genocide against the Geonosians, which would be damning evidence if they could get it to the Senate. Since the Emperor will end up dissolving the Senate come ''Film/ANewHope'', they obviously can't get any leverage over him. As such, the canisters end up getting knocked off as the ''Ghost'' flies through the exploding cruiser, and the images are only good as a recruiting tool for the Rebels.
26	** Klik-Klak cannot divulge what he knows of the Death Star, at least in any capacity that the Rebels will be able to make sense of, because the Rebels first learn of it in ''Film/RogueOne''. The crew decides to let Klik-Klak stay on Geonosis to protect the queen egg rather than take him to Chopper Base for interrogation, because the information they think he has isn't worth putting him through any more trouble.
27	* FantasticRacism: Saw does not like Geonosians, given that they were the backbone of the Separatists and made the gunship that killed his sister.
28	* FiveSecondForeshadowing: Hera takes Kanan aside to tell him she's concerned about Saw, as he has a reputation for being extreme. Kanan defends Saw, saying he can't blame the guy after everything he's been through. Seconds after this, Saw proves Hera right when he tries to escape with Klik-Klak and threatens the egg to make them back off when they try talking him out of it.
29	* ForegoneConclusion: The Rebels cannot learn about the Death Star or anything relating to it. Klik-Klak survives, but is allowed to stay on the planet without further interrogation, ensuring that what he does know is never passed on.
30	* ForgottenFallenFriend: The deaths of Saw's team at Klik-Klak's hands are quickly glossed over and no one, not even Saw, factors them into the ongoing discussion of how the Geonosian should be treated.
31	* HonorBeforeReason: The Rebels wanted to interrogate Klik-Klak to find out what the Empire is planning and then take him home. However, the Rebels later feel he's suffered enough trying to protect the queen egg and ensuring his species' survival, and decide to let him go rather than put him through more trouble.
32	* HostageSituation: Saw holds a blaster to the queen egg, knowing that the ''Ghost'' crew are too noble to let it be destroyed. The Imperials showing up puts an end to that plan.
33	* IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim: A variation. Ezra flatly tells Saw that if he's willing to kill Klik-Klak and the egg and wipe out the Geonosians, then he's no better than the Empire. Saw has a [[WhamLine brief reaction]] to the statement, before feebly insisting he doesn't care. Rex doesn't buy it.
34	* JerkassHasAPoint: Saw's refusal to trust Klik-Klak is reasonable, given he had just recently been trying to kill them and had already killed Saw's entire team. His insistence that Klik-Klak be taken captive and interrogated also makes a great deal of sense, as the mission was intended to find out what the Empire had done on Geonosis and Klik-Klak is the only surviving witness who does have some very valuable intelligence, the existence of the Death Star, that the rebels miss out on by letting him go.
35	* KindnessButton: The fact that Klik-Klak was protecting his family causes Ezra to warm to him immediately, and the rest of the rebels follow. Eventually, even Saw can't bring himself to deny Klik-Klak a chance at survival.
36	* LanguageBarrier: Compared to droid language or Ithorian speak, no one, not even [[{{Omniglot}} Sabine]], understands Klik-Klak, so his attempts to explain himself are reduced to a simple drawing of the Death Star they cannot understand. Klik-Klak seems to be able to understand Galactic Basic, though. [[FailureIsTheOnlyOption this also prevents the crew of the Ghost or Saw from learning about the Death Star before the rebels canonically do.]]
37	* MeaningfulBackgroundEvent: Zeb clearly looks a bit uncomfortable when Saw walks into the common room of the ''Ghost'' to meet him and the rest of the crew, obviously due to knowing from Kallus that Saw is a ruthless extremist.
38	* MidSeasonUpgrade: Sabine has fixed her jetpack, and puts it to use against the rocket troopers.
39	* NotSoSimilar: Hera notes at the end that while Saw is extreme, he's not the Empire as he let Klik-Klak go in the end.
40	* PapaWolf: Klik-Klak has been keeping up droids and shield generators in order to protect a queen egg.

44	* SympatheticPOV: Even though the Geonosian killed Saw's team and nearly killed them, Ezra points out that he's a lone member of a race the Empire wants extinct, so of course he was going to react violently when groups of armed strangers started searching his home. And while it's not mentioned specifically, one of them ''is'' wearing the armor of Clone Troopers, who had by that point invaded Geonosis ''twice.''
45	* TheUnpronounceable: The Geonosian's name is this to the crew, so Ezra nicknames him Klik-Klak.
46	* WeWillNotUsePhotoshopInTheFuture: Implied to be the reason why the photos of the gas cannisters would be insufficient to prove the Empire's atrocities. It has been stated that even holographic recordings could be readily edited to deceive others, so it's not a stretch that photographs could be easily dismissed for the same reason.
47	* WhamShot: While the rebels don't recognise the true significance of it, Klik-Klak's drawing reveals to the audience ''exactly'' what the Empire was building on Geonosis: the Death Star.
